This was unfortunately a very bad dining experience from start to finish. We came in for a slow Thursday lunch, so we expected relatively quick service, but somehow ended up waiting nearly an hour just for two sushi rolls. For such a simple order during a non-busy time, the wait was extremely disappointing. The restaurant itself also did not leave a good impression. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the place, and overall it just felt unclean and poorly maintained. It made it hard to relax or enjoy the meal. I will say the waitress was the one positive part of the experience. She was friendly, attentive, and did her best to check on us throughout the meal, so I appreciate her effort despite everything else going wrong. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were not good at all. Even the water tasted off, which immediately raised concerns. The miso soup also had a strange taste that seemed wrong from the first bite. We ordered the Ribeye Roll and Crunch Roll, and both were extremely disappointing. The quality and taste honestly had me crossing my fingers hoping I wouldn't end up with food poisoning afterward. Overall, this was not an enjoyable experience and definitely not somewhere I would return to. I've driven past this place so many times when visiting Dover, and always wanted to try it out, but I'm always on the way to an appointment or something, and just haven't made it there. Today I decided to make a point of going here. Upon arrival, the exterior might look a little dated or need some sprucing up. But, inside the dining area is very large and there is a roomy waiting area in case seating is delayed. There is a sushi preparation area right there so you can watch as the various sushi and sashimi are prepared. It was lunch time, and we were greeted and seated promptly. The menu is pretty large, and they do have a variety of wines, beers, and other alcoholic beverages there. There's a nice daily lunch special page at the end of the menu, which is very reasonably priced. I was in the mood for a Korean dish, but my wife wanted some rolls. I ordered the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap, as I do love a good bowl of Bi Bim Bap. She ordered the any two rolls lunch special which came with Miso Soup and a small salad. The food came out fairly quickly, and the Bi Bim Bap was served in a piping hot stone bowl, and the aroma from the sizzling ingredients was great. It came with four small vegetable/kimchi sides - cabbage kimchi, marinated Daikon radish/carrots, marinated bean sprouts, and marinated baby broccoli along with a small serving of gochujang. There was a very nice fried egg on top of the dish, which had the usual ingredients - beef, sprouts, spinach/greens, mushroom, etc. It was very tasty. My wife's dish included a Philadelphia roll and a California roll, and had the soup and salad with it. There was a nice bit of wasabi and fresh slice ginger on the side. We were both happy with our food, and plan to return. The only down side was that the bathrooms, while clean, really need to be refreshed. They appeared to be not clean just from the age and wear and tear, with staining, etc. It could probably be done on a small budget. And the exterior had similar issues, making it seem not so appealing of a place to visit. read more

Out visiting Wildlife refuges in the area, and saw Korean so gave it a shot as wife is Korean. Plenty of parking and nice ambiance, bigger than originally thought with bar and huge dining area. Greeted as we walked in, seated quickly and our waitress was super friendly and efficient. She constantly checked on us and removed any empty plates as we finished. 5 Stars for Service !!! My wife ordered Yuk Gae Jong (Soup) - She said it "wasn't bad" - which is actually a good review as she eats it everywhere. She took leftovers home and ate today so a solid 4 Stars for her I did Teriyaki Shrimp Bento Box - nice flavor on the shrimp, unique and enjoyable. Overall Box was good, maybe a little more on portion side,but I am a big guy so probably good for anyone else-LOL. I also had Sashimi which was pretty good, very nice presentation. Yukon has delicious authentic Korean food and fresh sushi with generous portions. Jeannie roll- spicy salmon topped with salmon, mango, and spicy Mayo. Flavorful and full of salmon Salmon fever roll- salmon and avocado topped with salmon and tobiko. The avocado and generous chunks of salmon were so creamy and fatty Haemul pajun- scallion pancake with pieces of shrimp and octopus . Crispy and the perfect appetizer. The dough was not quite authentic but still tasty Soondoobu soup- silky tofu and baby shrimp in a refreshing seafood broth with zucchini and onion. Served piping hot in a stone bowl. You can customize the spice level and get it less spicy. Kimchi chigae- perfect if you like spicy and fermented foods. It's a savory kimchi soup with pork belly. The perfect hangover food. All korean entrees come with a bowl of rice and vegetable sides (ban chan), sautéed broccoli, bean sprouts, kimchi, and pickled radish. The takeout is packaged very well, and the interior of the restaurant is nice enough for an occasion, with a full bar. Also a good place to take kids to introduce them to Korean food, we saw several families inside. As a Korean, it took me a few years of driving by to finally try the place out- I was wondering how good Korean food in Dover could really be. But the K food really is solid! read more

This was a New Year's Eve dinner date with my ex. The atmosphere was nice similar to a steak house vibe. Most customers had to go orders but there were plenty of people who dined in. I also liked the fact that if it was something that you didn't want that normally comes with a meal you could inform the waitress. I was so excited to try this place. I have been eating Korean and Japanese food for 50 years and loved the idea of them both being available at this location. I ordered the K8 which is the Kimchi Chigae (I've usually seen it spelled jjigae). It's a spicy broth with kimchi, pork, and tofu. Or at least it's supposed to be. In my bowl I had mostly kimchi and tofu. I found only one piece of pork. It tasted like a slightly spicy cabbage and tomato soup. I've eaten tons of kimchi jjigae and it's usually amazing. It's my go to soup every time I get sick. I credit the dish with curing my COVID (both times) in 3 days. This version, however, was an absolute disappointment. I felt like I was a peasant eating overcooked mushy cabbage in a thin tomato broth into which some cubes of tofu and a little hot pepper sauce was added. No meat flavor. No umami. No real kimchi flavor. None of that spicy sour kimchi uniqueness. Totally bland. I took most of it home and tried doctoring it up later. It wasn't salvageable. Pretty much $14 down the tubes. Hubby had K19 which is the Jae Yuk Bokum which is pan fried pork with rice. It was also bland but an improvement over what I had. It was $19 and not worth it for some sautéed slightly flavored pork over white rice. The banchan they served. One was broccoli with a few shreds of fake krab and some sesame seeds. One was flaccid browning bean sprouts that were gummy. One was some kimchi (not very spicy and very soggy - not toothsome like fresh kimchi). One was matchstick pieces of white radish (probably daikon) and some carrot in a mild pickle. None of them were horrible but nothing was outstanding. Nothing was actually tasty. Nothing that made me think, "I need a jar of these to go home with me" like I do at most other Korean restaurants. Maybe the sushi is better. Maybe I'll be brave enough to go back to try the non-Korean options. For now, this is on my "not again" list. read more

A good sushi bar, a mediocre Korean BBQ. I was pleasantly excited to find a Korean BBQ place in Delaware and was excited to try it after a few days of roadtrip. The parking is plentiful and when you walk in, you're greeted by a newly renovated inside (the only reason I'm mentioning this is because the outside does not look as inviting). We got the fried dumplings, hae mul Pa jun (scallion pancake), tempura spicy tuna roll, dot sol bi bim bap, and Jae yuk bokum. The fried dumplings were excellent - perfect crisp and a delicious pork-filled inside. The hae mul pa jun was a bit interesting. Definitely not authentic in that it's not what you would expect from another regular Korean restaurant. It was a bit chewy than normal and overall mediocre. The jayook bbokeum was my entree along with several sushi. I don't remember which ones I got for sushi, but they were all good and tasted fresh. The jayook bbokeum, however, was very disappointing. I've been to this place three times and have tried different dishes and have loved some dishes and did not like others. They have a wide variety of Asian foods such as sushi, sashimi, noodles, and rice dishes to choose from and the presentation of the dishes are beautiful. I haven't found a favorite sushi dish that I loved yet but will continue to try different dishes to find it! So far, my favorite dish has been the kalbi and shrimp and veggie tempura. I wanted to give this place another chance since it had been over 3 years since I first tried the Korean food here, and I was really craving Korean food. My first time ordering from here and gave it a 30 minute pick up time since I was ordering Ramen. Two minutes later, I received a notice saying that it was ready. The downside to this is when I picked it up and looked,The noodles were soggy. The reason I gave a 30 minute wait time was because I knew it would take me that long to get there.
