When I pick my dog up, everything seems ok and she looks so happy but there is this one thing I just notice was her nails. I notice that they kind of over cut her nails by cutting the "quick" which you're not supposed to cause quick is basically a blood supply of the nails and so now I am wondering what they have done to my dog. Like I honestly rather have someone be careful with her nails because dog's nails can be sensitive. Now that I saw how they cut her nails, I start to feel unsure how they treat her and how they groom her. I just give it a 2 star now that they kind of lost my trust with my dog. read more

I should start by saying I rarely if ever write bad reviews, just take my business elsewhere instead. I have awaited 2 weeks to calm down before I even was willing to write this. I have been here twice, this last visit has destroyed my dogs coat. I gave specific instructions on how to trim and cut and most importantly where NOT to cut & trim. Not sure if my speaking English is a barrier here, but the end result is, it will now take a year & maybe more for my dog's coat to return to the breed standard. She has puffs of hair going in every which way. What I wanted done was not done until I was there to pick her up and as I said EVERYTHING I said not to do was done. I even showed pictures of how I wanted her done. Now I have to go to a certified Master groomer for $160.00 each time for the next plus year to help get her coat normalized, plus drive 30 minutes away. In the meantime she looks like an overstuffed animal toy. If you have specific needs and not just the standardized one size fits all grooming maybe this place is ok otherwise stay away and look elsewhere. read more

I took my dog for a grooming. He felt dirty after we picked him up and he was itching with loose hair all over, we asked for deshedding I would imagine they would remove loose hair and the hair that was cut... We decided to give him a bath at home he came out feeling clean and we brushed out a trash bag full of hair I honestly think they just sprayed him with dry shampoo. Also his ears were dirty. I wrapped a baby wipe around each finger and put them in his ears and they came out with wax. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Brought my dog in and asked for the price for grooming, the lady at front desk showed me the chart for large dog and it was $115 I did explain that I just wanted a little trimming and guess what? They've shaved my dog. On their website they've say that their grooming it will be according to the pet's breed... Called to complaint about it, since my wife picked up my dog, and Cristian, the owners boyfriend assure that he will be investigating and will get back to me in 10 minutes. It's been 40 minutes and he didn't call me back or answer my calls... Terrible customer service... don't recommend them... first and LAST visit... read more

Hi all, I recommend you to take your dog to Koko bones only if your dog does not requiere any special care, they are very good with dogs but if the job requieres more details it is not "a good business for them" and it may obviously take more time than taking care of an easy bath. I am very sand by this response from Johanna which states that taking care of my dog is not a business for them as it takes them too much time, with out taking under consideration that my dog is a sweet dog and well behave, and that I pay around $220 dollars everything that he goes there. And yes taking care of a golden doodle is not easy especially with long hair, but never complaint about paying for it! They prefer to shave them instead of getting all the tangled hair off... and I guess is because of the timing issue... not nice at all! read more

I have to been to many different groomers over the years. Koko-Bone is hands down the best. Joanna is sweet and very professional. They always cut my Pomeranian perfectly and leave cute bows in her hair that stay until the next time she has her appointment. Another reason why I love them is it doesn't take a whole day to get my pooch looking amazing. I drop her off at 9am and she is usually done by noon. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS.TO KOKO BONE!!! I took my dogs there, a 15 and 4 year old shih tzusnamed Jingles and Tinker. Jingles has never been cut, shaved, nor had his ears plucked, in 15 years. I took him to KOKO BONE and they shaved his privates, along with hacking his fur off his hind legs. The only cutting I have done on my shih tzus are their feet. I have their feet trimmed and toe nails cut I explained all of this to Joanna who is the receptionist. I must of told her 15 times but when I got Jingles back, he kept licking at his stomach. I thought they did not rinse him good enough and did not remove all of the product they used to bathe him. So I took him up there a second time, and paid a second time for another bath After the second bath, Jingles continued to lick his stomach. I looked at him to find that they shaved his private area along with cutting his fur off of his hind legs. He had Hugh mats on his legs where he had been shaved and cut. I called Joanna and she denied this...said I must of got it mixed up with someone else. It would of been one thing if she had admitted to the mistake and offered me a free bath or a refund, but she called me a liar and said that they did not do this. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS THERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM SHAVED or you want to be called a liar. Bad work ethics. Someone needs to talk to Joanna about her mouth, nasty one. My DH complained about being scratched by our Jack Russell so eventually I decided to look after his nails. Being new to the area I asked for suggestions as to where to take him. Someone mentioned a major pet chain but the paperwork is a pain! I found Koko-bone and was able to get him in the same day that I called. We scheduled an appointment for 9:30AM and they kept our puppy in a cage until 4:40PM. We kept calling all day and they kept saying he would be ready soon. When we finally picked him up after 7 hours locked in a cage they said they were too busy today. Why make appointments if they can't manage them??? Terrible service. Honestly the best! Johanna is always so great with my dog. I was really nervous but the second I walked in she treated him like he was her own and they love each other. I'm very comfortable with leaving him there, especially seeing as how he was so happy to go in the next time I brought him. He always smells so good when I get him back with a shiny coat. I took my dog here last year and it was a mess. I had an appointment and previously told them that my dog was old, diabetic and blind and that he needed to be in and out as soon as possible. I told the groomer this again when I dropped him off and there were only two other dogs there at the time. After about 3-4 hours, I called to see the status and no answer. I continued to call until someone picked up and said that it would be a bit longer. After a total of 7 hours i went into the groomer just to find my dog still in a crate, unbathed and uncut. They rushed the job when they saw me walk in. My diabetic dog was panting and confused and needless to say, I have never been back. read more

Unfortunately, I do not have a high rating for Koko-Bone at this time. I understand that cat grooming is challenging and finding a car groomer can be difficult, but I pay plenty and tip well to help with the groomers challenge . I've been taking my persian there for about two years and most of the time I've been satisfied with the service, but it hasn't always been good. This past Monday, Sept. 28, I took her in and requested that she be cut short. "The same as last time", I was asked and I said that she had been cut short just like I wanted last time and requested that she be cut the same. When I picked her up, I actually asked the receptionist if they had remembered to cut her hair. It was the same length as it was when I left her there. Yes, of course was the reply but she retrieved the groomer so we could talk. He made a lot of unjustified excuses and I left very disappointed. I will not return, nor would I suggest this business favorably to anyone. read more

DONT BRING YOUR DOG HERE, these people really don't care about your baby!!! They had a "flood accident" in their shop today but assured me that they were going to be able to take care of my dog and groom her, it turns out they locked her up in a cage with no water only to call me FOUR HOURS LATER after they cleared the flooding to tell me they weren't going to groom her after all, and the owners didn't even try to compensate anything for what happened. She never comes out the way I want her to in that place anyway and she always comes out so thirsty I'M NEVER TAKING HER HERE AGAIN! No more second chances this place sucks. read more

I asked one of the guys to go back and trim more hair on my long haired yorkies behind and he ended up SHAVING the ENTIRE rear of my dog. The groomer must have been frustrated that I asked him to go back and he took it out on my dog. There is no hair on the rear now and it's already irritating my dogs skin. UPDATE: Nice to see the owner reply to my review over a year later!! Acting like you remember what happened to save face on your yelp account. TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY: your groomer shaved the entire rear section of my dog!!!!! Not just the privates! He did this out of frustration because I told him to trim around his butthole more so shit doesn't cling on it. When I asked why he exaggerated this request and shaved about a 7 inch by 7 inch area on the rear to almost skin. Like when dogs get surgery he just smiled! Who does that to innocent animals?!! Completely unprofessional my sister in laws dog had an appointment for 10 am and was told that the dog was going to be ready at 12:30 pm which is fine. I did her the favor of coming to pick the dog up at 12:30 but my sister in law called and told me the dog would not be ready until 2 because he was matty when I arrived for the 2nd time at 2pm we are told now 3. This would not have been much of an issue if the employees there would not have given such a poor attitude as if we are in the wrong for their unprofessionalism . The girl up at the front saw we were visibly upset due to the constant change in time and was laughing and rolling her eyes at us. I am very tolerant to people because I do understand things happen but to be so disrespectful is not called for and for that sole reason I would not recommend anyone to go here. read more
