Absolutely lovely vegan bowls here. Service was great and god vibe for such a small restaurant. The patio tables and umbrellas were nice for the sunny day.

I went to their location on Commerical. It was early morning after Acupuncture and I had some time before my Doctors appointment at 10:30am, so needed a good breakfast. I wanted something gluten and dairy free. Walked in and out of a few cafes trying to find something I could eat when I stumbled upon Kokomo. Their Açai bowl was incredible - a açai berry base with lots of healthy toppings like a GF granola, fruits, seeds and almond butter. Loved it! Also ordered a lush green smoothie that was packed with so much goodness. Unfortunately, I couldn't bare the taste of raw concentrated turmeric so I barely drank it. For those who can tolerate strong turmeric, this is probably the drink for you. Although I personally didn't like it, I know this drink is packed with anti inflammatory properties. Loved the staff. New staff in training and she was wonderful, along with the one who was training her. Cute little place on Commercial. Gotta try their other locations.

Kokomo's açai bowls are delicious, never seemed to have an issue until recently. I found not one, not two, but several pieces of inedible plastic shards that could be mistaken as coconut shards. Nice. DEFINITELY NOT COCONUT SHARDS. How the hell did those get in my açai bowl? I could've had a life and death choking experience! Irresponsible.

I stumbled upon this restaurant/cafe while I was strolling down 4th with a friend. We saw their very appealing look on the outside and had to check it out. I ordered their açai bowl and my friend got the coffee crisp smoothie and WOW. They were both delicious. The açai bowl was flavourful, the granola was homemade and the fruit was fresh and sweet. The smoothie had just the right amount of coffee in it without it being overpowering while still being able to taste the other flavours. We were one of the only customers in the store at the time so our food was made fast and efficiently. The person working behind the counter was knowledgable and could recommend very good items on the menu. Would definitely return!

I love Kokomo's bowls and get them often. But today I tried a smoothie of theirs and was very disappointed. The smoothie came in a tiny cup compared all the competitors on west 4th, which are 50% bigger then this and the roughly the same price. It was more a juice then smoothie and very watery. It was also served to me missing about an inch of smoothie from the top of the cup. It was bad value for money. Although the juice/smoothie was tasty itself, I will just stick to the bowls from now on.

A big thank you to Mallory and the kitchen staff! This review is 3 months late, but even a few months later, we remember our meal like it was yesterday and can't wait to return the next time we're in Vancouver. Getting to experience a Michelin Guide-recommended vegan restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! We had (from the June 2025 menu): the Bread, the Broccolini, the Chickpea Tofu, and the Potato Cavatelli. Not a single crumb, morsel, drizzle of sauce, or even pea was left on the plates! Every bite was so full of flavor and decadent, we were so sad when the meal was over ;) The stand-out though was the Chickpea Tofu, the best tofu we've ever had and it seemed to just melt in your mouth. We also loved sitting at the bar that overlooks the open kitchen. They offer those seats for guests who want a more immersive, interactive dining experience. It was really cool to watch the chefs create each masterpiece. Overall a truly memorable and delicious experience!

A cold rainy city needs to have hearty fare that sticks to your bones. And if the cooking is fine and the raw ingredients are first rate, I will take that hearty fare in a summer heat wave too. * * * Naam has blueberry milkshakes to die for. Granted, all of the Pacific Northwest has amazing blueberries. Plenty of places make blueberry milkshakes. Blueberry milkshakes in season are just good. Most places in Vancouver do not make blueberry milkshakes. The 5% that do deserve all the loving you can give. * * * I ordered a Veggie wrap off of the "light" side of the menu. That "light" veggie wrap could have fed a lumberjack for an entire day. A heavy deep rich whole wheat tortilla was filled with potatoes (!!), homemade green salsa, homemade red salsa, and five or six other kinds of vegetables. The tortilla was burrito sized. This was way more solid eating than a Texas egg and potato taco. Or a plate of Texas egg and potato tacos. Fresh vegetables and fresh potatoes taste a heck of a lot better than driven-in-a-truck eggs and driven-in-a-truck potatoes. Green or red salsa is used in Texas to cover for the ho hum egg and potatoes that are in your Texas wrap. Green and red salsa on top of vegetables that don't need any help at all, but sure like to make friends? Sign me up. And a tortilla that packs a pow is always welcome. * * * We left Naam feeling healthy, The way your grandmother makes you healthy by giving you seconds on meatloaf, gravy, mashed potatoes and candied carrots. Your grandmother doesn't want you to go hungry, right? We felt as well taken care of as if we had just gone to visit our grandmother. And yes ... eating at Naam is a great source of personal growth.

I really wanted breakfast and didn't think of the Naam. It's not a go to spot for brunch. Until now. First off, I didn't have to wait in a line. You have access to their lovely patio! And the food was delicious, and very reasonable. I got their Spinach & Feta Omelette (sautéed mushrooms, onions, spinach, red pepper, cheddar, feta & mozzarella cheeses) and I made it a platter by adding their potatoes & miso gravy + Veggie Sausages. The food came hot and fast. And HUGE. I loved that you had plenty of mushrooms and a ton of cheese. I didn't even touch the sausage and still came home with half of the food! You know their miso gravy slaps and accompanies a potato! Service was fine. Again, I'm coming for the food and feeling like I'm at home! I really appreciate this place and can't wait to try more of their breakfast items (I got their dinners down!).

We ordered the Sourdough (with House Cultured Butter, Vancouver Island Sea Salt) Shiitake (with Soy Braised Squash, Kelp, Ginger,Lemongrass) Cabbage with Brown Butter and Pomme Dauphinois Harvest which was house made ravioli stuffed with chicken of the woods. For dessert the Plum with Fig Leaf, Miso Honeycomb and Thai Basil Sourdough was good. No arguments there. The shiitake was fine, palatable. The cabbage and potato were very bland and made me question why the Acorn is so hyped. It was so bland i didn't finish it. Keep in mind SERVING SIZES ARE TINY. The ravioli were practically inedible the chicken of the woods was beyond overly salted and the pasta wasn't cooked. We joked that al dente was at least touching water. This pasta has never heard of water. Easily one of if not THE WORST PASTA I've ever had at a restaurant in the past few years. Thank goodness the plum dessert was yummy. Very good. But truly I don't understand why people rave about The Acorn. I love food. Im a vegetarian but it's hard to comprehend why it's so hyped. Maybe there was a new cook? Maybe it was an off night? Crossed off my Vancouver bucket list. It took me a while to write this review because I frankly was in shock the contrast between the actual food vs the lore it has around town. The highlights were a basic sourdough and a well balanced dessert. That just feels so wrong.

The fritters were warm, with a crunchy exterior but soft interior, and packed with flavour. The curry mayo accented their flavour and the plating was the icing on the cake. I absolutely recommend them! For the main, we decided to split an order of the miso roasted carrots, and I ordered the crispy pork belly.
