Just great food at a great price with great service. As a Hudson Valley transplant, it has been hard to find consistently good pizza in Poughkeepsie, but we've finally found it. I always order online and they always deliver quickly. Our favorite is the romano crusted chicken pizza, its just awesome - I would highly recommend it. We also love the burritos and quesadillas. They even deliver pizza by the slice, so on those nights when everyone wants something different, I can order a quesadilla, a couple slices, a salad, a pasta dish, and even dessert - and everyone is happy! read more

Garlic bread was overly soaked in garlic. Might as well placed a garlic clove in the order. The burrito tasted stale and old. Pasta was runny and overly cooked. How can you mess up pasta and sauce? It's ironic how all of a sudden they have a 5mile radius yet my very first order through Yelp was from Kokopelli's and they did deliver. What a shocker?! Yet I order a second time and you pull that? My first order was a chimichanga, garlic bread and a piece of chocolate cake. The delivery guy was of Hispanic descent and drove a black BMW. The garlic bread was overly soggy. The focaccia slice was delicious. I haven't seen many pizza places have this type of slice. I also had a side of sauteed broccoli, which was very watery, but it wasn't horrendous. I haven't tried anything else but the pizza was really good. The service was good. The cashier was really nice, and so were the pizza makers. The only thing, I ordered on-line (grubhub) and it said it would be ready by around 12PM and when I got there it was 12:15 and I still had to wait another 15min. I wanted a pizza on a Sunday night, and have been underwhelmed with the local choices lately. I ordered from Kokopelli's based entirely on a Yelp search, and was happy to find I had been introduced to the best pizza I've had in Poughkeepsie so far. Pretty good for take out and delivery.I have tried several things, like subs and pizza, and pasta dinners.Everything has been good so far,and delivery is fast.They also offer Mexican style food items,if you want.I had a bad experience with Mexican food once so I avoid that stuff.Not that I dont like it,I do but my colon does not.You can order online with GrubHub and pre-pay if you like.I like that option,and you can even include the tip when paying online.That way my hands are free to get the food before my wiener dog tries to squeeze out the door read more

I order from Kokopelli's a lot because I'm often too lazy to cook, and I don't drive anymore. I've tried all the local places that deliver, and Kokopelli's consistently delivers well within the stated time frame, and usually earlier. I've never had a single problem with an incorrect order, cold food, or impolite staff. They have a variety not usually available from a pizza joint, and the sauteed spinach is one of my favorites! read more

Was in the mood for a plain NY cheese slice so I stopped by Kokopelli's on my way to visit family near Violet avenue. I was not let down - at first I only ordered 1 slice for myself but as soon as I left I decided to order a full pie to bring home. Came here after my son's CYO basketball game. I've heard many things from my wife about how good the food is here. I was surprised that it wasn't packed on a Friday night. Let me say that the menu is interesting. There's both Italian and Mexican dishes served here. I got a delicious Chicken sub with lettuce, tomato, mayo and melted Mexican cheese. Sooooo good. The food is very reasonably priced and the portions are terrific. I've never left there hungry. The staff is always nice and say "hello" when we walk in. This is one of my wife's and mine favorites places to eat lunch or dinner. The veal parm is delish!!! read more

Kokopelli's food is half ass and run by none English speaking Mexicans. One minute the food is good the next time it's horrible. There's a manger name Jose was is unprofessional and yells at his workers in front of customers. How professional is he? Not a good environment to go and eat. read more

2nd time here... So good the first time we had to come back. Excellent quality and friendly staff. Pepperoni pie was great, just the right amount of pepperoni and lots of cheese! Nice to see a business doing well in the location. Tried the pizza on a suggestion from a friend, and it was great! We've had other favorite pizza places in the Hyde Park area, but the quality seems to have diminished at most of them. Tried Kokopelli's and it was very very good. The 131 special and the chicken bacon ranch pie are our favorites. Also, the spicy calamari appetizer is outstanding. You wouldn't expect the quality from a pizza joint, but it's a thousand times better than calamari we've had at regular sit down restaurants. My family and I ordered food from here a couple weeks ago for catering. They were really friendly with accommodating us with what we wanted. We wanted the chicken alfredo and they did that. Just when I thought I couldn't love this pizzeria more, I ordered the fried shrimp basket and it was delicious! I am pretty picky with fried food. It has to be the right amount of crisp. Overpriced kinda. Like every other place. Mexican food section is ok only offers like 4 dishes.. Overall it's just decent.

I decided to try the chicken franchise along with mozzarella sticks and an iced tea. For the iced tea I was given a bottle of Lipton Pure Leaf, that's a first. The mozzarella sticks were huge, and not exactly hot when I received them; they were good though. I highly suggest the mozzarella sticks. As for the main dish I was left with no emotion of all. On one hand the chicken was almost perfect, which is rare to find with this dish. On the other hand the sauce had no flavor and seemed to have the same affect that water would have had. The bread seemed to have been baked today though many, many hours earlier. Finally l, although there was a very large party the only waitress in the restaurant did an amazing job keeping her cool and balancing between everyone. read more

OMG! This place is awesome! I had the red pepper soup and the chicken kokopelli which is parmesan crusted chicken with fresh diced tomatoes and spinach, homemade mozzarella on top. The waitress was friendly and the food came out pretty fast and the portions were huge.. Fresh and delicious. I recently decided to try Kokopelli's for lunch one afternoon. I had always driven past the place and it seemed intriguing. I ordered a sierra chicken salad and a slice of plain pizza. Both were fantastic. The salad was very large, it had well spiced chicken with an assortment of veggies like avocado, roasted red pepper, and red onions. The pizza was also larger than the average slice and for $2, its a solid deal. They also do individual sliced pizza for takeout , which is very convenient for light eaters and people who just want a slice or two on the go. The sauce was good, not too sweet and not too overpowering. The cheese seemed to be of good quality. the crust was thin and lacked the abundance of grease(sign of good cheese) that the restaurants(and locals) around here can't get enough off. There seemed to be various other pies on display that also looked delicious. They even have a large Gluten Free pizza selection that I can not wait to share with my GF girlfriend. Owner is very nice man. I wanted my first experience here to be positive but although waitress was just fine, the food was not. The meatballs do not resemble meat in the slightest. The were horrible. I also ordered chicken quesadillas and they were the worst I've ever had, and I eat Mexican whenever I can. They had mozzarella cheese in them - which was overkill, they were bland and honestly just bad. My boyfriend- whom I've never heard complain about food in 23 yrs- said the meatball park tasted like Chef Boyardee. The meatballs truly looked like they contained no meat whatsoever.
