Still a great place to eat...I absolutely love the taco salad with sierra chicken. So delicious and crammed full with good stuff like rice, beans, tomato's, chicken, lots of it. Hubby got the calzone. It was nice and crispy but the middle was cool and the sauce he said was more like tomato soup. I loved my dish but I took off a star because the calzone was just ok but mainly because they served me but I had to wait a good 15 minutes before my hubby was served. I like when we get served at the same time. The waitress was nice but not overly engaging. I like when the waitstaff engage with customers. read more

I never gave trying this spot much thought until recently and I'm really glad I did. I was actually really pleased with my experience. The food was pretty good and the delivery was quick! I ordered the Kokopelli gf pizza and it may have been one of my favorite topping combos I've ever had. It's like this pizza was made for me. Chorizo and jalapeños? Yes please! The crust was in its own pan with a little pizza cutter and I really loved that. The crust wasn't my favorite but the toppings were so good that it didn't bother me much. My fiancé got the chicken Francaise and said it was really good but needed some lemon. He squeezed on some lemon we had in the kitchen and it was perfect! We both had lots of food leftover and I was really happy, I'd definitely order again. I definitely wish they offered gluten free pasta though. read more

Husband and I stopped by for lunch today, first time there. We each had a chimichanga. Chicken for me steak for him. Delicious! Very flavorful not overly spicy. Portions grande! Side salad had a tasty vinaigrette. Pico de gallo fresh tasting. Prices very reasonable. We definitely will return to try other of the many choices on the menu. read more

Dined in the restaurant last night and tried the Crab Bisque. This soup so so freakin tasty it was amazing. Came in A bowl filled with crab, potatoes and several other veggies in a nice creamy soup. Had Veal Parmigiana and Lasagna. Both were superb and always plenty to take home. By the way Carly is so sweet and nice during every visit. Will keep coming back! No reason not too. read more

I know this place sold pizza by the slice, so I walked in just as a opened up. I had a slice of pizza with a bottled water for just over $4, which I thought was a pretty good price. The pizza was a thin crust, and tasted pretty good, but a bit too much oil was used (maybe helps keep the pizza moist under the heat lamp). While I placed my order at the counter, and took it to the table myself. Upon leaving I made a comment about being too early for the pepperoni. But the reply from the hostess was less than enthusiastic, she just gave a quick smile but didn't say anything. So, I think the customer relations needs Improvement. read more

I don't know what has happened to this place, I had followed them from Hyde Park Pizza to this location because of the quality of their food. Tonight I picked up a meatball parm hero and a Caesar salad. First problem...a totally empty parking lot. Then when I got home with the food, suspicions were confirmed. The 'Caesar' salad was old, wilted and brown (oxidized) chopped-up romaine lettuce with a container of commercial (not homemade, like before) dressing. Some of the lettuce was actually rotten. The hero barely saw the inside of a pizza oven. Bread was almost cold and the cheese was barely melted on top. I did their work by toasting it in my oven at home, but that didn't save it. The meatballs were sliced-up pieces, tough, with gristle, and flavorless. I never do this, but the whole thing went into the garbage. It's sad to see a business that I used to promote to other friends provide such subpar products. Never again. And now I'm going out to pick up a proper meatball parm hero at a competitor. P.S. it isn't hard to make a good salad or meatball parm hero. read more

This is one of our favorite pizza spots. We really enjoy their dishes and try (we stress on "try") to order different dishes every time we call them, but we pretty much end up getting the same thing every time! We have yet to eat on-site. We are always ordering delivery from them, so I can't give a review about the inside of the restaurant, but when we went to pickup food a few weeks ago, we noticed the restaurant itself seems a little small, but has a decent-size parking lot so that's always good. Now onto the really important part: the food! The last time we ordered, I got the Bruschetta without cheese, Rice and Beans, and Garlic Knots. You may say that isn't a meal, but it hit the spot! Everything was oh so tasty and delicious. Each dish is perfectly seasoned and scrumptious! I thoroughly enjoyed my dishes as did my hubby (who got a burrito and customized pasta dish). We have never been disappointed with anything we have gotten there, and hopefully you can say the same. In times past, we have gotten their specialty pizzas by slice (namely the Bruschetta slices and Focaccia slices) and they have been amazing! They have a pretty extensive menu so check them out. The owner and staff really seem like a good bunch. The service is outstanding and the food was pretty damn good. I only had mozzarella sticks and pizza but both were perfectly done. I am picky with my pizza, most places taste just like most places, this place is good. They have their own flavor, I think it's the oregano and spices in the sauce that came through and gave the pizza it's nice flavor. I LOVE this place. I usually swing for the Mexican menu here but the Italian menu is also really good. I frequently order the steak nachos and the beef burrito, both of which are exceptional. I usually order online (huge plus) so it's ready for me when I get there. The pizza and mozzarella are also very good, and the mozz. sticks aren't the average pizza-place ones and they're very good. The seating is somewhat limited so if they get busy you could be waiting for a bit. The atmosphere inside is very nice and the prices are fair for what you get. I'm a huge Kokopelli's fan. read more

My first visit to Kokopelli's was when a group of us wanted to try their South of the Border options for take-out. We enjoyed these, and I'm looking forward to trying their pizza. The large order of guacamole and chips was enough for us plus some left over for the next day; the guacamole is really fresh. My chicken burrito was good, better with some of the guacamole and pico de gallo accompanying it put on top. The clear winner was the chorizo chimichanga, spicy and tasty. Each of the take-out orders also came with a small salad with a sweet, flavorful dressing. Do not order the nachos, they were not good at all. Imagine a pile of flavorless chicken with no seasoning. Wet soggy chips, cold cheese, flavorless beans, and tasteless salsa. We all waited too long to eat and were starving by the time we settled on this place. I took my parents in for a rather late bite and we were not disappointed. We were all in the mood for something different when we arrived at 9. My father had a chorizo stuffed chimichanga. I had a pepperoni and ham pinwheel along with a a spinach pinwheel. Meanwhile, my mother had pasta with alfredo sauce. We ordered a sierra chicken salad to go for my partner along with a slice of cheesecake for the road. The chimichanga was legit. The chorizo was tasty and the side of cilantro sauce or as I like to call it "cilantro emulsion" was excellent. The pinwheels were really good, but I was also impressed with the pizza dipping sauce. It tasted like it had olive oil and cheese in it along with some citrus notes. I will definitely be trying a pizza next time. The alfredo was good too. My mother raved, but I say it needs baby bella mushrooms. The sierra chicken was very spicy, which was very excellent. The staff was polite and friendly. It was a nice change for me as I live in the city. And the place was fresh and bright inside. The "south of the border section" of the menu is likely all good. I'd like to see a taco and tamale option on the menu. We'll be back and we are excited that they will deliver through Hyde Park and up to Staatsburg! read more

Yummy food! I was curious to try this place because of the unique menu. I was not disappointed the food was really good. I got the pizza rolls, as well as rice and beans. You can order on Yelp which I love. Everyone was very polite and I was surprised at how huge the portion sizes were. Since the covid-19 debacle made it so i could only do take out or delivery i figuered id give this place a try, needless to say im hooked. I think i have ordered from here 6 times so far and the meals have been amazing and very delicous!! After having their pizza, I really want to go back and try the burritos, etc. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a piece of cheese pizza willingly, but Kokopelli's reminded me why a slice of extra cheese pizza is exactly what you need sometimes. For starters, the pizza came out SUPER hot, like the burning hot I remember pizza being in my childhood....ah, memories. Before people had to be warned that hot coffee is hot.... I digress. It was hot, the cheese was melty enough to do a little of the pull, but didn't slide off the crust in its entirety. The crust was PERFECT: crispy where it needed to be, and perfect chew! Some of the other folks we were with got side salads that could've fed a small army, and I think they were something absurd like five bucks! Finally, a place in Poughkeepsie that uses seasoning. This place has friendly staff, convenient hours of operation (open very late on weekends), and most importantly, AMAZING FOOD. They have a wide variety of Italian and Mexican dishes to choose from. Of course their slices are good too but this places offers much more than great pizza. My favorite dishes are the seasoned calamari, chicken and pepperoni pizza roll, and chorizo empanada. I do not have a favorite dessert because ALL of the desserts here are phenomenal. Kokopeli's just lost a customer. We have enjoyed there food in the past. When inquiring about a delivery minimum we were told $50 because we are so far. We have ordered less in the past. I'm not upset that there is a minimum just that it doubled. I know I'm only one person, but I'm one person that won't eat there again. read more

Let me start off by saying that I have ordered from them in the past, and have had no problems. After this last time, I will NEVER be ordering from them again. I ordered through the app Grubhub and was told that my order would be ready and delivered in about 50-55 minutes. I waited patiently because I know that it's a Sunday night and that they're busy. I get that. Around the hour and a half mark I decided to call. Someone answered (and I didn't get their name) and I told them that I had been waiting almost an hour and a half for food that was supposed to be there 30 minutes ago. He asked me where it's going, etc and asked me what was in the order: 3 chicken finger baskets. He told me "The order didn't go through, we don't have record of it." I asked him why they didn't have record of it, he said he didn't know and then he put me on hold without telling me that he was putting me on hold. I sat on hold for about a minute or so not knowing whether to hang up or not. After that someone answered and I had to explain my reason for calling all over again. I didn't tell him what was in my order when he said to me "it was three chicken finger baskets and a Sunkist liter." I never told him that I had ordered a liter of Sunkist, so the first guy lied to me and told me that they didn't have record of my order. If they didn't have record of my order, how would they have known that I had a liter of soda?? The guy who turned out to be the manager told me some lame excuse about "suddenly finding it." And about how it got "lost on the tablet." He told me they could either make my food for me and have it to me within 15-20 minutes or give me a refund. At this point I was just hungry and wanted my food. I told him to just get me my food. Being from the foodservice industry myself, I know that the right thing to do would have been to give me some coupons for next time or a partial refund, but he didn't offer any of that. He apologized, but didn't own up to the restaurants mistake. I waited 35 minutes for food that he promised he would get to me in 15-20 minutes. If they hadn't made some lame excuse and blamed it on technology and had blamed it on their kitchen staff incompetence, I would go here again. Due to not owning up to mistakes, blaming it on Grubhubs platform, and not trying to make up for the mistake, I will not be going here again, or ordering from here ever again. read more
