Being on a diet which restricts me from having gluten can be challenging, especially if I want a pizza. And, visiting from California, It can be difficult knowing where to look. Fortunately, a friend in the area recommended Emiliano's Pizza. I'm glad I took her advice. Not only do they have a damn good gluten free crust for a personal size pizza, I want to know where they get their pepperoni from! It had a nice zing to it that was spicy without being overbearing. The service was as good as the food, and the ambiance reminded me of an old local Italian restaurant I used to visit before they closed their doors. Nice old school vibe to this Main St pizzeria. Best slice so far in Hudson Valley. Being from Brooklyn most places have fallen short in the quality of pizza we are accustomed to. What can I really say about a mediocre place? The establishment is pretty small, but cozy. Dining in and sitting was the best part of the experience. I like that they had all the shakers of parmesan, garlic and red pepper, off to the side to grab alongside napkins and such. But the pizza itself man...I mean it was alright. Not really much to say. It's a pizza. I just got a regular pepperoni and it taste like anywhere else. I came into this place with a lot of hype surrounding it, they have a big sign hanging above the street making seem like this is gonna be a really good pizza spot. It was just ok. So it was disappointing because of my initial expectations of taste but it's a decent pie. I'm not from New York so I don't know how things work up there, but one weird thing was you hand the garbage ang dishes back to the employees at the front?? I was there a couple of nights ago before closing and just wanted a grilled chicken salad with garlic knots but they said they only had garlic bread ,I said that's fine . A solid pizza place for speciality slices! Came here looking for a quick bite before heading home. Service was as sweet and polite as can be as we ordered a few regular slices and a white slice. While you wait, enjoy the scenes of Italy painted on the walls. The white slice came with a thin spreading of ricotta with plenty of herbs and garlic on top. It was delightful. The garlic actually had a sweetness to it which was not offensive. And the undercarriage is quite thin but still soft. The regular slice on the other hand, not my favorite. Still thin, still cheesy, but I wish the sauce had a bit more flavor to round it out. Grew up in Poughkeepsie but haven't been to this place in years! Ordered take out and was pleasantly surprised with the pizza. Our cheese pie had a nice crisp crust. The buffalo chicken tenders were pretty good too! We were really disappointed with the Stromboli though- it was more like a thin wrapped calzone. I read on the menu that they are made to order so maybe it truly wasn't cooked enough. The veggies and chicken inside were mushy and flavorless. It wasn't crisp and the surrounding bread was really thin and hard to handle. See photo! Definitely wouldn't recommend that dish. I ordered A pesto Alfredo for delivery directly through their website and they use slice to deliver. I received regular Alfredo. I contacted slice whom I got the delivery through and placed the order through and told them I got the wrong food but because the restaurant was closed I was unable to get my food remade correctly. I was unable to get a refund speaking with slice. They tell me that the restaurant says they gave the correct food which they did not and there's nothing they can do for me so I'm out my money. I'm out my food and there's nothing that anybody can do to assist the situation. This is terrible on behalf of the restaurant because as a local to Poughkeepsie, I will be spreading the word that this restaurant does not do good business. We were in Poughkeepsie to visit the nearby Discovery Museum and happened upon Emiliano's. Boy were we lucky. This pizza brought me back to my youth, delicious thin crust just the right amount of sweet and savory sauce and cheese. The slices were large and there was even a Monday special - a whole pie for $10!!! I don't live anywhere near Emiliano's but if I were to be passing by again, I would make sure to stop. Ordered some take out pizza from Emiliano's while in Poughkeepsie with my roommate. I was really excited because NY pizza has a great rep but I was a bit disappointed with Emiliano's. I got the BBQ Chicken Pizza with add on onions. The add on onions were $2.25 which is kind of expensive, especially for onions. I was a little confused because usually BBQ Chicken Pizza includes onions already but that's okay. I like onions with my BBQ chicken. Then when I opened the pizza box I found out they weren't even red onions? And there were definitely not enough onions to warrant the extra charge. The chicken was pretty dry and overcooked. The BBQ sauce was okay but definitely did not overcome the dryness of the chicken. I would not order the BBQ Chicken Pizza again. Overall, I was not impressed with Emiliano's Pizza. read more

Food is really good. But lately the service over the phone has been pretty awful. I find whoever works at making the phone calls is very rude and has not customer satisfaction skills at all. I asked nicely if I could get it replace by something else instead. I live in AZ now, so whenever I come to visit the mid hudson valley region, I'm always looking for a delicious slice to eat. Everything about the slice was amazing. The location is a bit small, and with covid, it wasn't a great space for a large crowd. (You have to walk past the other tables to order). When I walked in, no one greeted me. There's a stand with a thermometer that says "Feel free to take your temperature," but I didn't see anyone take it. I walked up to the counter because I wasn't sure where to order, and the staff wasn't the friendliest, but they took my order and delivered the pizza to the table. I told the driver even though he heard me being loud and he left. I call the staff back to confirm this and they did not answer my call. I have been a patron for over 30 years. They can take their food and shove you know where. I'd bet it was the brother owner who is a creep. I will never order from there again nor recommend them. Horrible customer service My pizza pie was hard my kids & I had ordered a large pie on a Saturday night the staff were rushing to close and go home when I arrived all staff about four in total were ready in their coats just staring at me & just passed me the pizza pie.
