Came up to headless horseman and needed a bit to eat. Got slices for everyone and they where great. Super nice under carriage for a thin round pie. Cheese and sauce was top notch. Ordered a meat lover's pizza to pick up. After paying, noted that this was the lightest (in weight) large pizza I had ever carried. Upon getting it home, noticed that the toppings were few and far between. Waste of money, will not be back. read more

Been coming here for years! Actually used to work here!!! The only dish we have liked recently is the Chicken Francese. The pizza was okay. The salad was good but some brown spots on the salad! Chicken parm is bad and has cheap breading. Sauce so not bad though! It's weird!! Each time we go the portions gets smaller and smaller and I don't know what we're paying for. Every other restaurant you go to you get 3 decent pieces of chicken that is nice and thin and here you now get two VERY small pieces of chicken, still thin which is good. Thick chicken is just gross! Lol They never bring bread unless you ask which is what they are actually good at! Ughhh!!!! Get it together and get your ratings back up and portion size normal vs sub par and we will be back. Each day is different and the one waitress lacks class big time. She is very chummy with the old men who come in and is classless and not on top of things the other girl is great but never has any help! Service is awful!!! Not the ones girls fault but the other... not sure why she works there honestly. Not good for business. We need good local bizzzzz! If the one good waitress had help she'd be phenomenal but how can she do kitchen work, waitress, bar, bussing, bringing the food out? Again, not her fault! The other girl is llllllaaaaazzzzzyyyyyy! This girl busts her butt. Management should get her help and pay her more!!!! Her name is Jeannmy! And honestly whether you eat in or out you should get the good bread! The service is horrible, be prepared to get ice cold food and a total lack of caring from the waitress. This is unfortunate because we really like Paulina's pizza. (p.s. just to clarify, the pizza has always been served piping hot but the service is usually lackluster to say the least.) The several if not many times we have been there it was always apparent that the staff is undertrained. Having to get up (after being served) and asking for plates or napkins, and servers "ghosting" us is unacceptable. This last and FINAL time we visited as follows; The menus were delivered by a "tween" aged boy (no issues there, I was a "working kid" once) but the lack of supervision/training enabled him to deliver a menu with a big spot of "sticky goo". Gross. The food took FAR too long to arrive, so long that we actually considered leaving before we were served. . The wings, an order to share amongst the three of us, came out first with no plates (this has happened OFTEN at Paulina's) , we waited patiently but the waitress was ghosting us so the two ladies with me finally decided to eat on napkins, I refused to eat on a napkin so I didn't get any of the wings. When two of our three ordered arrived, I commented about the lack of plates for the wings, she seemed totally disinterested. She came back with the small plates when she delivered the third dinner after a ten minute wait!!! I took a bite of the black beans, they were almost cold. I ate one bite of the enchilada... ICE cold, almost like it was a frozen dinner and defrosted but not heated to a serving temp (...the cheese wasn't even melted, the dept of health would have a cow over that one.) Not wanting to get a nice case of botulism, I pushed my plate away as my dinner guests continued to eat their meal. The personal pizza looked good too, but I was too pissed off and I don't send food back for "re-heats" or other things. When the waitress finally came back at the end of our meal, we expressed our concerns and she seemed liked she didn't care at all, no apologies, nothing. My wife paid the bill (they did take my dinner off the bill), my wife expressed her concerns and didn't get much of a response, not even an apology. Sorry folks, I love your pizza but I wont be back. Too many times of bad service. NOTE: They were NOT busy. Only two other couples in the dining room at the time. Word of advice to Paulina's; My family has owned Mom&Pop Italian restaurants and other food oriented businesses, it could take a year to get 10 loyal customers and 1 minute to loose all ten of them. read more

Our go to spot in the area! While the garlic knots are my favorite, we have tried a lot of menu items at this point (salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta). Everything we have ordered has been delicious and fresh. The staff has been friendly as well! I am so happy they opened up here! read more

We ordered the Family Meal Deal today! We chose the Chicken Francaise with Angel Hair pasta and the house dressing for the salad. We were hoping for the best and expecting maybe half of our expectation and we would have been happy! Let me tell you, it was beyond our expectations! First of all the portions for 4 people were huge. It was more like for a family of 6 and not 4. The salad was huge and had everything you could think of in it. The house Italian dressing was good but not memorable. The breadsticks were about 6 inches long and very fresh! But, the Chicken Francaise was the STAR of the meal. 8 huge chicken breasts that were so tender and loaded with flavor! I asked for extra sauce because I know the pasta absorbs the sauce and doesn't leave much for the chicken. This was absolute perfection! Easily it was a pound of pasta coated in the most amazing and flavorful Lemon sauce! I can't wait to order it again next week!! read more

This was the second time we have been to Paulina's in Esopus. The first time I ordered shrimp scampi. The shrimp was bad, not just a little old, more like food poisoning old. I could the ammonia as soon as the dish was put in front of me. A year later I reluctantly went back with a group of people who wanted to try it. I ordered chicken sorrentino. I figured it would be hard to mess up chicken but I was wrong. The chicken was old, overcooked and shoe leather tough. The waitress left the plate in front of me after half the table was cleared and never bothered to ask anyone how their meal was or if they needed anything else. We won't be back. read more

Food taste great but almost every time I order for delivery they mess up my order. First time I ordered shrimp fettuccine and I got plain fettuccine. This was our second time ordering out. We also decided to try a few things. Our order consisted of Chicken Francaise, Lasagna, Antipasta, Garlic bread, and yes, a pizza. What can I say I, especially, was hungry. Francaise had a good belt of lemon and noodles were cooked perfectly. Lasagna was quite good and our son had to be fought off eating it all.
