I always liked the original in Beacon, so seeing this location made me happy! My go to are the hotdog & most recently the chicken tandoori sandwich. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my daughter got the chicken tenders. The chicken was super crispy, to the point of uncomfortable, but tasty. I only interacted with the staff for a minute but they were very friendly. I'm interested in returning to sample other menu items. read more

The food is elevated bar food mostly. The staff was friendly and welcoming. When it's busy which it was our last visit it gets noisy and feels a little frantic. (Maybe that is just how it made me feel) but we enjoyed all of it. read more

Was looking for a low-maintenance mass-appeal place for both my parents and children that had outdoor seating. MOD fit the bill, and has it's own parking lot to boot (parking can be difficult around Vassar) The food was great (though they do have a bit of a limited menu) and the drinks were excellent. SERVICE: I placed my order online today and noted food allergies which present challenges when ordering from restaurant delivery services. within moments of submitting my order and selecting my time, I received a call. WOW was I pleasantly impressed that she wanted to review my food allergiesand come up with a plan. they could have lost a $40 sale in doing the right thing. As it turned out, we were able to work around the allergies and place the order. I can't speak to the ambience in the restaurant, but I can vouch for the speed of delivery and the pleasant driver, Shannon FOOD: oh my gracious those french fries were incredible - exactly how I requested them - extra well done. I love that they leave the skins on. I was in heaven. The burger was on the smaller side, but it was exactly to my specifications. The chicken fingers were incredibly fresh, hot and super crispy. (I'll save those for my daughter since, Gaby shared with me that they do have a seasoning on that might prove challenging for me). Do I recommend Meyers OldeDutch? ABSOLUTELY. Szechuan peppercorn chicken sandwich made smoke and flames come out of my son's ears, but his dad was happy to gobble it up and gave it a thumbs up. The coating on the Mac & cheese balls was perfectly salty and delicious; though the filling was a bit bland. Some vegetarian and vegan offerings and specials of the day (week?). Albie is the MAN in Poughkeepsie! First timers from out of town. Place looks amazing. Ambiance, friendly, inviting. Wow. The whole experience was incredible. Albie hooked me up with a tasty IPA from Industrial Arts called "Wrench" (maybe my new favorite beer), then our family had three different entrees and fries. The burgers were incredible. I had a pork and bacon number with caramelized onions that was SO GOOD! Even the fries, including the huge wedge Sweet Potato fries were so flavorful. We are in town for two more days. We will go back at least two more times. We didn't take pictures, sorry. Not a "snap a picture of my lunch" guy, but could not be more impressed with the experience. read more

The only positive I have is that on a very busy street, they have a parking lot. I did not know there wasn't waitress service and you have to get your own condiments and cutlery as well locating water in the back of the restaurant. I've never had a burger out any where it wasn't served with a pickle or even that tiny thimble cup of coleslaw; it's all a la carte. The burger was small, not medium, honestly very salty, and filled with a drippy sauce. Bring a cushion if you don't like sitting on metal chairs. First and last visit for me. read more

So glad this restaurant has opened in Poughkeepsie- right across from Vassar College. I thought there would be full waiter service, but you order and pay at the counter and they bring the delicious food to your table. Nice covered outdoor dining and large indoor area too. We ordered the Single Dutch hamburger and side salad along with their absolutely amazing eggplant sandwich special - crispy eggplant with tzatziki sauce and a jammy tomato something-or other on the bun too. They seem to have several specials each night. Fun, quick, delicious with cheerful service. Enjoy! Side note: hope they will start using non-disposable cutlery soon. read more

Loved this place. Employees were so happy and friendly and they checked on us without being overbearing. The food (the double burger, fries, and Mac and cheese bites) were delicious. Burger was cooked nicely and toppings were fresh. Absolutely delicious. The fries are (I believe) double fried so they're just crispy enough on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They were salted well and the portion size was plenty for two to share. The Mac and cheese bites came as a three piece wherein each was probably the size of a Cutie orange; they were huge and clearly homemade. Tasted great too. Really good burgers! The ingredients are super fresh and the food is nice and simple (which is great because people love over-complicating their burgers and ruining them). My partner and I both got the NY State Special (this burger doesn't come with veggies as is, so be sure to specify if you want them, otherwise it's just meat and cheese - which is very good too) and we shared a side of fries. We thought one fry was plenty of food for two people - but do your thing. The prices were great too! $26 for two burgers, one fry and two sodas. The dining room is very clean and calm, as is the restroom and the staff is very friendly and efficient. read more

Great place with a cool vibe. We had the crispy eggplant sandwich, a roasted beet salad, and a salad with crispy tofu. Everything was perfect. Never had a better eggplant sandwich and the beet salad had a rich beet flavor with a dressing that made a nice foil.
