Quiet place to try some quick protein and fresh dough formed into a kolache. I've never had one but they are pretty good. Many options available depending on your dietary and/or hunger needs. We went on a Monday right before noon. It was kinda quiet with only a few patrons. But it was a good stop. The lady helping was very friendly. She obviously likes to stay busy. While we pondered, she started cleaning the counter and got other random things prepped. It wasn't like a McDonald's with a bunch of youth standing around looking at cell phones. Stop by here about 10 o'clock this morning for breakfast with my wife. The young lady that served us did just a great job and the farmer skillet and breakfast we ordered along with the eggs or just about perfect.. The reason for the low rating review is because every single time I come in, whether I order one or two dozen, they seem so annoyed that you are there, and especially annoyed if they ask you if you want it warmed up and you say yes. This was my first visit to a Kolache Factory. The kolaches are delicious and make a quick meal. There are so many fillings to choose - savory or sweet, meat filled or vegetarian. I tried the bacon with Swiss cheese and the sausage and gravy. Both were wonderful. The dough is made fresh daily and is slightly sweet. You order at the counter and the clerk bags your kolaches. There was no line during my visit. My server was efficient and asked if I had a loyalty card. The dining area is clean with tables to enjoy your kolache. A lot pf people seemed to preorder for pick up. The parking lot is tight and insufficient for the influx. read more

I've had these kolaches from when a coworker brought them to work but this was my first purchase. I bought a mix as these were for a brunch potluck, mostly the savory ones and added in a couple of sweet ones but realized when I got to the brunch, I only received one fruit flavor and a random one that I didn't request for. I think the associate was a bit new and was a little nervous because I don't think she read the ticket correctly. I came in on Saturday morning and the ambiance wasn't as busy as I thought but there was a crowd and a constant stream of customers. The kolaches were great as always ... soft dough and delicious fillings. I loved the chicken enchilada, lots of chicken and flavoring. The brisket one was a bit dry but still flavorful. I went to the grocery store, and on the back of my receipt was a coupon for Kolache Factory, which reminded me that I'd been wanting to go try this place out. Nestled in a little strip mall, this place feels a bit more Dunkin' than cultural experience, but the food makes it very worthwhile. The service, however, wasn't ideal, I'm sorry to say. When we arrived, the place wasn't bustling, so we were able to walk right up to order. The gentleman behind the counter may have been new because he had to ask for help with all of the questions that we asked. And, unfortunately, while we had a "buy three, get three free" coupon, he completely forgot one of our kolaches, which was a big disappointment when we arrived home. Having said all of that, though, the kolaches are pretty great. They're little buns with different kinds of filling. Some are savory, like the ham and Swiss, the barbecue pork, and the bacon, egg, and cheese that we got. Some are sweet, like our apple kolache that was remarkably like a fresh apple pie. All are, in a word, incredible. I'm usually pretty serious about service: if I get poor service, it's normally enough to keep me from returning to a place. But I can safely say that I will actually return to Kolache Factory to try more of their menu because the food is just that yummy. The bread is soft and a little on the sweet side and the flavors of the fillings are just right. While I'd love it if the service was better, and I've now learned to check my order before I leave, *and* I might be a little grumbly if I get poor service again, the fact remains: the food is stellar. read more

Today was my first time at the kolache factory. When I walked in there was an older black gentleman there seemed like he was very happy to be at work, which was great. He asked was I a rewards member. I am not since it was my first time. They had so many different varieties. It was difficult to choose from. I went with a creamy, spinach and potato and egg just tried two separate ones they were pretty good. I will be revisiting again to try more. read more

The check in and check out takes less than 1 minute on an average and they have extremely fresh and good quality items which fill your tummy and heart! I usually order egg kolaches and this months special is Florentine Kolache with spinach, eggs and cheese. I do love the simplicity and authenticity of the flavors itself and usually is a hearty breakfast with 2 kolaches. First time I've ever tried a Kolache. I found out that they have an app, placed an order the night before to pickup in the early morning. I ordered BEC, SEC, Ranchero, and Potato and Egg Kolache. All four varieties were fantastic. The bread was so soft, a hint of sweetness and the filling was filled perfectly. I went in to pick up, was kindly greeted by their worker and he already had them packaged and ready, on time! I honestly dont understand the hype. Its something different which is nice to have for the sake of diversity - but "different" is not synonymous with "delicious". You basically get a roll stuffed with any of 20 different variants of insides. No condiments or salad to add flavor and texture. So if you order the ham-n-cheese you get just that - bread, ham and cheese. No mustard. No lettuce. No tomato. So it came across as being kinda bland and unseasoned. The sausage with gravy was gone which apparently are a staff favorite. I luckily got to try the ham and cheese and jalapeno popper. Um yum!!! I thought the ham and cheese was gonna be my favorite but give me that jalapeno!!!! So many times you find the dough to filling ratio is off but this was perfect!!! Ordered some Kolaches for pick-up for the office on a whim after a recommendation from a co-worker. They were ready to go on time and packaged nicely. Only complaint is that the kolaches were cold. I LOVE Kolache's and I've been impatiently awaiting the opening of this location. I had to get my phone screen fixed next door so I figured I would pop in and hang out while I waited. The shop is new so of course it looks beautiful, clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The owner was coming out of the back and is clearly pretty involved with day to day operations, which is always nice to see. This was a a very good place to try in Indy. They have a huge variety of kolaches, which are Czech pastries usually filled with fruit or cheese. Here however they must have at at least two dozen varieties from Texas hot to spicy sausage and jalapeno. Watch out though because the first day I tried it, a week day, they sold had sold out of several flavors by 8 am. Delicious Kolaches! Always very busy. Their sweet treats are also a must try, especially the cherry hazelnut. They're more than I'd like to pay for a dozen of them but every so often it's a treat. Hello, my name is Julia, and I'm a Kolache addict :P Ok, so I don't eat Kolaches ALL the time, but whenever someone brings them to work, you best believe I'm first in line. I've been telling the hubs about them for years, but we never got around to getting any. And we pass this location every time we do our grocery run and I think the hubs was tired of hearing, "Oh! I love Kolaches!!" every time we drive by. A couple of whiplash turns into the smol strip parking lot and we were in. My faves are sausage, egg and cheese and mild polish sausage. Admittedly because those are the only ones I've ever eaten. My NEW fave is the sausage, jalapeños and cheese. And I reserve the right to change my fave...I want to try all of them. Great, quick meal. These are very unique. The first time I went in there were two younger girls behind the counter ans they were so helpful and patient. They explained everything to me. I took my parents in and there was an adult gentleman at the counter, not wearing the uniform. He almost appeared to be the manager. He was clearly very rushed and worried about things other than the customers in front of him, because my parents did not get the explanations I was hoping they would or the kindness we experienced on our first visit. Overall, the food is good and we'll be back, but I wish everyone that was on the front counter had the same demeanor as those young girls. read more

I wanted to bring a treat for my coworkers so I picked up Kolaches to share. This was my first time using the online ordering and it made the process so much easier! I was able to take my time reading the different types and making a custom dozen. When I arrived in the morning for my pick up, Alejandro greeted me and let me know it was all packed up. We came upon this by accident. As we were trying to get to this location, we had to go around a zillion cars waiting for Starbucks. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait and the service was excellent. The buns that are filled are very delicious. They are slightly dense but not so much you feel like it is hard. It is a perfect balance between the two. We were able to order multiple items as we wanted to try lots of things. The only thing that I can say that brings down the review to a 4-star is that the items are somewhat dry. Not sure if our experience was overcooked or older, but the taste overall was very good.
