Someone told me to go check this place out and from the first bite I was addicted! In turn I've introduced these gems to family & friends and they too love them. My mom lives in a city that doesn't have a KF nearby and whenever I go visit she always tells me to not forgot to bring her some. With that said these gems freeze and reheat well, so we keep them on hand at our house. My favorite is the sausage & gravy, however if you don't like cream gravy (like some of the folks in my house) this isn't for you. Our other go to is the Ranchero. We also look forward to the Kolache of the month, the only downfall being is that they are only available for a limited time. You can join their eclub and when you buy 3 you get 3 free or as a yelper you can check in and get the same special (unfortunately that's not available at all stores as I found out this past weekend in Austin). I haven't had any of the fruit kolaches as we stick to the egg & meat stuffed ones however it's worth trying! read more

Kolache Factory is always good! I really like their Sausage, cheese and jalapeños kolache as well as their sausage and gravy. The sausage and gravy remind me of when I was in school and eating the breakfast pizza. The sausage, cheese, and jalapeños kolache was packed with jalapeños. I love it! How a business responds to a problem is always a measure of how it's run. Most consumers will avoid any type of confrontation when there is a problem. However, review sites like yelp and others give a voice to that frustration. It also gives a very public way for an owner/company to respond. Kudos to the Kolache Factory folks for a quick response and refund of the missing items. I want to personally say thank you and we look forward to our next order. Finally tried this place that is really close to us. Couldn't have been more disappointed. Most blah tasting kolache's I've ever had. I mean zero taste. Had 3 different flavors, all tasted like eating a rice cake. On top of that, we were charged $18 for 6 Kaolache's. I know I can buy a truck load of rice cakes for that kind of money. read more

This place is by no means Czech Stop, it's good enough to tide a person over until they can manage a road trip. Sausage and cheese kolache was delicious and the cream cheese kolache is tasty. I wasn't crazy about the fruit kolache. They just felt like a bun with fruit in the middle. They could use a little extra oomph. Overall, I was happy with the majority of my purchase. Had their ball shaped sausage kolache that a coworker brought in. It was O.K..... I like the sausage Kolache's I get in West, Texas or down in Snook, Tx. Those are really different, and better. The donut shops make crappy sausage rolls. Don't buy them! A great sausage roll has a Parker house type roll (not sweet) over a 1/2 link, split, of great Polish or German sausage. read more

I've frequented the locations in Austin, and been a big fan of Kolache Factory. When I saw the sign that one was being built right next to my house, I was really stoked to try this place out. The kolache's taste just like they do in Austin, and I was really happy with my purchase. Loved the menu. The fillings range from savory (meets, cheeses, etc) to sweet (fruits, cream cheese, cinnamon & sugar) all wrapped up in a delicious bread roll. The bread is fresh and very tasty. A total disappointment. I did not expect West, Tx bakery quality, but the kolaches here were inedible. The dough was underdone, mushy and tasteless. They had not risen enough. The fillings were better than the dough, but that is not saying much. The cream cheese was a little better than the fruit. The strudel was just okay, but seemed stale. I wondered if perhaps cooked a day or two ago. I won't be ordering from here again. read more

We were really looking forward to this place opening, but it's just not a good kolache. The little mom & pop donut shop on Parker at Country Club is light years ahead of this place. The yeast dough that the Kolache Factory uses is pretty bland and very chewy. The fruit kolaches had a disappointing fruit goo to dough ratio. The savory ones were okay, but more expensive than our mom and pop shop. We most likely will not be back. read more

We've been a number of times to grab kolaches to go, mostly because convenience of location and the nice deals that run periodically (i.e. buy 6 get 3 free). The staff are generally friendly and service quick. However, the quality of kolaches is unstable. Sometimes the dough appears mushy/under cooked, sometimes the kolaches are really small in size and lack flavor...but the WORST experience I had recently was with a ham, egg and cheese kolache. I got a gooey, vomit-looking ball of what seems like all meat and absolutely no egg and cheese. I was starving so was blindly scarfing down food and more than halfway through the kolache before I noticed. Wish I grabbed a picture but it literally looked like someone pre-chewed up meat and stuffed it inside the kolache. I was SICK and nauseous for hours afterwards. Sadly, this is the last time we're going back - I'm just too scarred from this experience to brave going back for more! read more

Just opened a few days ago and went for the first time today around 10AM. Line was just out the door and moved at an okay speed. We picked up a dozen kolaches. The ham and cheese was definitely the overall favorite. The philly cheesesteak and one was pretty good as well as was the sausage and cheese. The jalapeno sausage one was had a heckuva kick as it has jalapeno's inside it around the sausage. Definitely nice to have this in the area now. read more
