Cherry kolache, sausage gravy kolache, sausage egg and cheese filled croissant, apricot kolache (already eaten whoops)

The kolaches were all very tasty and fresh. They have a huge selection of kolaches, it's difficult to pick what flavors to get. They are a little expensive for kolaches

What an amazing find! A bakery filled with delicious treats both savory and sweet! Everything was tasty and light, not too sweet and service was incredibly friendly! Highlights were the spinach disc, fruit kolaches, and hot dogs were to die for!

Yikes! Quality of bread (soft, buttery) and filling ratio - 2 key components of a good kolache that this place unfortunately doesn't deliver on. Bread was dry.. almost crusty.. and wayyyy too much dough vs the filling. Prices are high for what you get. The bread on the sweet kolache was good - I wish that's why they used for the savory options. Friendly service but won't be back unfortunately. Heads-up - if you've eaten kolaches from a donut shop in Texas (these are not the same). If you've had the kolaches from a traditional Czech bakery these aren't even remotely close!

Cute store. Went around noon on Sunday. They were sold out of the seasonal pumpkin spice kolache. The Vienna sausage one was really great! Loved the sausage and the dough was soft and yummy. The vegetarian pizza was yummy and loved the toppings. The caramel apple wasn't too sweet and the dough was soft. The chocolate cream cheese was my least favorite. The cream cheese was hard and the dough was really dry and not good. I thought the cream cheese would have chocolate in it but it was just a chocolate drizzle. Service was quick and nice. They even warmed up our savory ones without asking.

Amazing food and service! This little gem is tucked away so don't drive too fast or you'll miss it! When we got there is was a little past 10am so I do suggest getting their early! We still had plenty of options to choose from :) The cinnamon roll was so big and it came with amazing tasting frosting on top! The guy working there was so helpful and quick! There are a few seats if you wanted to sit down there but we decided to take it home to enjoy :)

Little seating area for dine in.

We were in the area getting coffee and decided to try this place out since we are rarely this far down Colfax. The space is clean and cozy and service was friendly. Trays of fresh kolache greet you upon entering and the chalk board menu has the options listed with prices. I went with the Southwest, the Chorizo w/ egg and the Jalapeno Popper. These little buns were full of tasty filling! The Jalapeno Popper was spicy and I could have eaten many of those - dangerous. Both the Southwest and Chorizo were perfect. These are a great breakfast on the go and at $3-4 a piece, they won't break the bank.

Yes! Visiting Denver, we were turned onto Kolache House Bakery, and it makes me genuinely sad that I do not have something similar in my town. Kolache house largely does one thing (to be fair they do have a few other limited menu items but not many) but they do it extraordinarily well. They make Kolaches, a ton of different kinds of them. Sweet, Savory, meat filled, vegetarian, just a ton of options. They cost just a few dollars each and let me tell you that 1-2 of these things will fill you up, but they are so good you will want to eat 5-6 of them. You can have them cold or heated, and they will package and label them for you if you request. We tried 7 different kinds, and while we had our preferences (I loved the chorizo &egg, and sausage & gravy) There wasn't a bad one in the bunch. I felt like they were going to have to roll me out of there because I wanted to eat well past my stomach objecting. I cannot wait to go back and try more types that I didn't have the opportunity to on this visit. TL:DR - Get in your car and go to this bakery right now. You won't be disappointed

We stopped at this bakery when we wanted something lighter for breakfast. We had never had kolache before but will definitely have them again. Delicious. The server was friendly and helpful. Not a large seating area but was clean. My favorite was the chocolate croissant'

Went in and they had a nice selection of Kolache's I tried a variety and they were all good. The jalapeño popper has a nice kick to it I really like the spinach and cheese and the chocolate and cream cheese was amazing as well. The customer service was excellent too!

Suffice it to say, this place has ruined all other bakeries for us. The staff was extremely helpful in giving recommendations, and they did not disappoint. I got the cinnamon roll (of course), and a cheese danish, and my wife got their lemon & almond pastries. The price was extremely reasonable for what we were about to experience. Dear reader, these delectable delights were unlike anything we've ever tasted before. Perfectly buttery, flaky, warm, and full of flavor. It was all we could do not to make a scene at our table out of sheer culinary delight. We actually ended up going back to the counter for seconds. Now, days later, we're back in Michigan, sitting down with cinnamon rolls from our local bakery, and it's just... okay? "It's not Taste of Denmark..." I say, the light fading from my eyes. "Yeah..." my wife responds, despondent. So thank you, Taste of Denmark. You have set the bar too high, and now none shall ever compare. I hope you're happy. I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Parking was limited, and it is way awkward to get in and out with a car. We got the "fiona" (a mango-kiwi dessert), a "scarlett" (raspberry chocolate dessert), berry-licious croissant tart, and a lemon madeleine. The "fiona" was perfectly balanced with a solid mango and kiwi flavor coming through. It had creamy component, a cake component, and a fruit component with a glaze. Not too sweet, but certainly sweet enough to satisfy a sweet tooth craving. The "scarlett" was intensely raspberry in the mousse component. The raspberry jam on top brought the sweetness to temper the tartness of the mousse, and the chocolate cake and chocolate cookie components also balanced out the dessert with a nice natural bittersweet from the cocoa component. The fruit croissant tart had nice fruit on it, and the cream component reads like a yogurt. The croissant part itself was very tasty and makes me excited to try their original butter croissant next time. And finally, the Madeleine was very impressive. I am not a fan of frosting-like stuff on Madeleines, but this worked so well because it was not too sweet. Very balanced flavors, yet again, with some of that natural bitterness again that contrasts so excellently with the flavors. If I could only use key words to describe their desserts, it would be: beautiful, balanced, complex, and natural. I won't be able to come here often due to how far away I live from here, but I know that I will be back.

Note that the sign is on the outside of the building, and if you have online orders, you can (and should!) use the ourside pick-up window. If you're walking up, though, you need to enter the Edgewater Public Market (tip: the door to the left is the closest to the bakery if you're standing in front of the pick-up window and realize that you need to go inside) All of the pastries and breads looked very good, but both of us decided on a cinnamon roll. We both enjoyed the rolls at a table in the market across from the bakery. It is a very light cinnamon roll (think of laminated croissant-like dough) with just enough cinnamon and frosting. If you want a more "bread" cinnamon roll like at the famous chain shops, these are not the same. I'd imagine that these have half the calories as well (at least, I am telling myself that!) Frankly, I expect I would have been happy with anything, including the pastry with pickle slices on it. I hadn't had coffee yet, so I was not in a place to remember to take a picture (sorry!)... but it looked really nice and if the cinnamon roll wasn't practically YELLING my name, my natural inclination would have been to get the "weirdest thing" on the menu (according to my family's years of data). It is called "the pretty pickle" : house made pickle, focaccia crumbs, paprika crema and pickled shallots on puff dough. If you look for it on Instagram, I am sure you'll find a picture. Along those lines, I ordered an Astro Fuel Latte. The sign was hand written, so I may have missed a few ingredients, but this is what I remember: espresso with with condensed milk and a touch of black pepper. It was very sweet and creamy with a little bite of pepper on the back end. Think Vietnamese coffee with a little kick.
