My husband went here for my birthday spring fling cake.... I must admit it was okay and I ate it- mainly because I know how much my husband put into surprising me with this cake. My issues- upon hearing how my husband was treated, that was enough to piss me off and bring the cake back.... We didn't, but trust and believe I would have I got a personalized cake (6in?) idk enough to cut 4 normal slices- it came in this giant box and upon transporting it, it tipped over. I know this isn't really their fault, but had it been packaged correctly I feel it wouldn't have tipped as hard as it did. The taste was okay, a little to gritty for me. Definitely not the Market's spring fling. The cream cheese was meh, it tasted like a mix of cream cheese and that whipped cool whip icing... if you know, you know. And it was missing the most important part! ALL THE FRUIT?!? That's what makes the cake the cake. I got 3 layers of cake, 3 layers of icing and specs of fruit. I was not impressed. Utterly disappointing not being able to enjoy the strawberries, kiwis, peaches, and other berries in the layers. read more

About a month ago, the hubs and I were given alfajores from here and I knew we'd have to go back. Today was that day to come back. I came around lunch and was so hungry. Along with the incredible alfajores, I picked up spinach, chicken and ham/cheese empanadas. Although I could have, I did not eat them all and stuck with the spinach. They come with a little container of mild green hot sauce. It was a tasty blend that had cilantro as the dominant flavor. I was so hungry that I ate one empanada cold in the car and barely managed to make it home to eat the other one warmed they were so good. The staff was really nice and this is a local business we definitely want to keep supporting. read more

The Empanadas were generously sized and perfect to share. The dough was tender and fillings were savory or sweet and moist. Delivery was prompt and the pies were warm when they arrived. I love this little locally own spot. A friend and I were starving in route to a dinner party and we knew that we were going to have to wait so we popped into Piero's to see if they had anything small we could eat. We both got an empanada and not only was the empanada delicious but the sauces they gave us were phenomenal. We left with the largest slice of flan I've ever had. This place is amazing! All of the bakeries near me were closed due to the snow storm so we tried out Pieros. Their Peruvian alfajores are sooooo good. It's a cookie the woman had us sample & we ended up buying 12. The chicken empanada was delicious as well. The chicken has a wonderful flavor & they were large and filling. While my piece did come looking like a homeless person nabbed it first I honestly do not blame them. Being the reviewer I am online I HAD TO try THIS. I can make this amazing cake quite well. It's my fav. Ever since The Market At Larimer closed I've been dying for another persons version. I must admit the visual appeal may have had me off a bit I nutted up and erased me previous rude reviews to tell you ALL even though I got a mangled piece. I hot a piece that tasted like hope. The zucchini bread had a density that's almost good enough to stack but definitely good enough to eat. The sugar content is A1. When it came to the fruit and cream content I was a little let down by amount or lack there of and canned peaches. I use real ones I cook down. I got 3 layers of bread with cream and fruit in between. The outside is just the stacks. The cream was a perfect mix of cream cheese. I honestly just wish they would hire me. Thanks for the cake. Can I get a better slice next time? There will be a next. Probably many. read more
