Service was awesome. Our guy was Keith (?) and he was soooo helpful and knowledgeable and his suggestions were perfect! The food was amazing and super filling. The vibe totally cute. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can't wait to go back and try more delicious things.

Ramen gets an upgrade at Komugi Ramen. Nover the center piece ramen is usually a subcagtegory of the asian menu in Nashville. You can finally enjoy the full range of ramen. Our favorite dish was the teriyaki tofu. The crunch on the tofu was perfect. The flavors of the food stand out because of their freshness, very enjoyable ramen although the broth wasn't very strong. Quick and responsive staff. Very helpful when we needed to take the meal to go. Just love the to go bag, totally reusable/sustainable. Already had comments at the grocery store.

An AWESOME find! 11/10 Delicious food, incredible service! We got the tonkatsu broth build-your-own ramen. (I added gluten free noodles and beef, bamboo shoots, green onion, ramen eggs which they NAILED, and seaweed) The broth alone was insane. I could eat this literally every single day. The staff is all so friendly and welcoming. For a fun conversation, ask for Keith!!! (-:

Heck yes! Ramen in the burbs! Really impressed with the whole experience here. This place has the BEST to-go set up. Their special bag kept my food warm my whole 30 min drive home! The Tonkotsu Ramen had great flavor. The meat cuts were a little thin but tender. The noodles didn't seem freshly made but were good. The chicken potstickers were steamed, appropriated cooked while not being super rubbery, even after the ride time. Online ordering through Toast was super easy, food was up before promised, and the pickup area is at the front, clearly labeled. Was even greeted for my pick up & departure which was super nice. The restaurant setting was super cool, and i definitely want to dine in another time!

Custom vegan ramen! 10/10 and the containers prevent soggy noodles!!

The BEST Vegan ramen I've had in... ever? The restaurant is not only vegan, but my family (picky kids included) is so in love with the vegetarian ramen that just happens to also be fully plant based! Everything is so fresh and their to-go packing is 10/10! The container is two layered with the liquid on the bottom alone, which prevents the toppings from getting soggy and also maintains the temperature. Also, Keith in the front is so knowledgeable and welcoming. We'll be back!

Things I like about Komugi: Its fast, its nearby, the staff are friendly, & its RAMEN. Things I dislike: Underwhelming flavor with some options. Was super excited to see Komugi open nearby & have an option that is closer than Otaku & others near Nashville. My first visit I got the Tonkatsu which is one of the standard common versions of Ramen & I was underwhelmed greatly by the flavor. It was super bland! Maybe some addition of chili oil or something would help but it was just not great for some reason. My wife got a chicken broth based ramen & It was also very bland with an odd flavor to the chicken chasu that would make a picky eater (my wife) not finish it. Second time I went with the cheese ramen which is creamy pork broth (same as tonkatsu) & some American cheese on the pork belly & it was much better flavor wise. It did not taste like watered down broth like my first one did. Noodles are good & chewy, Ratio of broth to noodles & toppings is balanced. Some things are being done right here & it's a welcome addition. I would just not recommend the chicken broth based ramen dishes if you are a purist or like bold flavor options.

    Tonkotsu Ramen to-go

Ordered 2 Tonkotsu Ramen to-go. Aaron helped me on the phone and was absolutely wonderful. Not your typical phone order where they rush you - great for those of us with anxiety lmao. Was quoted 15min but he gave me a call less than 10min later, as I was pulling into the lot. Walked in, picked up my order and was on my way. It was so fast and efficient! I'll be honest, I thought there wasn't going to be enough broth but it was just perfect and so flavorful. The pork belly was tender and it came loaded with all the toppings, mushroom, corn, bamboo, nori. The soft boiled soy sauce egg was my favorite for sure! Thought Komugi was excellent- for food and service and value. Can't wait to dine-in soon!

Komugi Ramen is exactly what Hendersonville needed in terms of a variety of restaurants. A ramen place, although niche, may seem out of place but it's a welcome addition (just like J Street Korean BBQ). Yes we have Sapporo, Maru Iyagi, etc to get our ramen but those are sushi places. Their selection is extremely limited. Otherwise, you'd have to go all the way to Nashville just to have their ramen. I've been to Komugi three times now. Once around the time when they first opened, once after work for dinner, and then another time after my hockey game. Each time I went there was a wait, roughly about 15-20 minutes. The waitresses didn't speak very fluent English but the service has always been great. I'm a low key guy and they made sure my drink was topped up every couple minutes. The food was fantastic. I really liked the dumplings. They were steamed with with a savory meaty filling. The cilantro and green onions added a nice refreshing characteristic and the chili oil had a nice moderate salty kick to it. I opted for the Spicy Miso Ramen. It wasn't really spicy, but I can handle my spice. The miso soup base was rich, salty, and creamy. The pork belly was seared and very tender. I honestly don't care for corn in my ramen because it makes it a little sweet but all-in-all, this was a very good, hearty ramen. My all time favorite however is the Tonkotsu ramen. There's just something about a good ramen in a bone broth base. I highly recommend Komugi and can't wait to try it again.

This place is delicious and just what the area needed!! I did not even get a photo of my food because I was too excited to try it. I got the seafood Ramen as well as the Tonkostu ramen. I ordered carry out and it was done around 15 minutes after ordering. My carryout order came in this cool reusable bag which I have personally never experienced at a restaurant before. I am excited to try the edamame next. Cannot wait to return here!

Absolutely the best dining experience we have had in years. The food was fresh and made in house - it was simply amazing. The prices were very affordable for the large portions. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve and the ingredients in it. We will certainly be back. We highly recommend this restaurant if you like Ramen and if you're not sure about- it is a MUST try!!

Seafood Ramen was really good once I added the powdered chilies and sweet and spicy sauce. The service was excellent! Makyai was really on her game.

It was a good ramen shop for the area. I had the tonkotsu ramen. The pork belly chashu was nicely prepared. The boiled egg was medium in the middle and marinaded well. The broth could use a little more work, and I wished that there were more options on the noodles (maybe a thicker option). I felt the noodles were not handmade and were lacking in texture.

The fish is consistently exceptionally fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the restaurant is spotless every time. The staff is warm, attentive, and efficient -- food comes out quickly whether you're enjoying a sit-down dinner or stopping in on a tight schedule. Must-tries: * Avocado Bomb -- unique, stunning, and packed with flavor. * Tuna Lover Roll -- pro tip: ask for the crispy fried scallions (not listed anymore, but they'll add them if you ask -- and it takes the roll to the next level!). * Yellowtail Hamachi -- fresh, clean, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. They also have fantastic lunch bento boxes -- ideal if you want a little bit of everything. Options like bulgogi, katsu, and chicken teriyaki make it easy to get a balanced, filling lunch on the go without sacrificing quality or flavor. Pricing is very fair for the quality -- not the cheapest spot in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for: premium ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a consistently great dining experience. He was really excited to go so we made a 30 minute drive to load up on some dumplings. My first impression was that the place was clean and bright with lots of seating. We were greeted nicely and we sat down to discuss what we wanted before ordering at the register. Disney music played on the speakers the entire time and even me, a Disney-adult, I was over it after having to hear Let it Go twice in a row. We ordered quite the spread: one beef gua bao, one order of chicken & cabbage handcrafted dumplings, one pork belly rice, one chicken gua bao, one zha jiang noodles, soup dumplings, and Thai iced tea, and one jasmine milk tea. In total, with tax and tip, we spent nearly $75. Now, we wouldn't stick our nose up to spending our hard-earned money to get our grub on, however, we felt like we didn't get our money's worth here. The food was just okay. My favorite thing was the beef gua bao and I would absolutely get that one again. The Thai tea was delicious, and the chicken and cabbage dumplings were decent. My husband surprisingly loved the chicken gua bao the most and I really enjoyed it, too. But for the more expensive items like the noodles and rice bowl, they were *fine.* My rice barely had any sauce on them and minimal pieces of pork belly. The soup dumplings, though prepared nicely, were not very flavorful at all. The jasmine milk tea? Probably the worst I've ever had. My husband liked his noodles but I was not crazy about them, they had a very greasy texture to them and the mouth feel was like I was so thirsty at the mechanic that I took a swig of their synthetic motor oil. Now I will say that the employees here are very nice and they bring the food out to you as the dishes are made. Overall, I wasn't impressed with Steamboys except for their beef gua bao and Thai tea. The price didn't match the flavor for the entire meal, so we won't be going back. Service: 10/10 Food: 5/10 (the gua baos and Thai tea are the best) Drinks: 7/10

We were told over the phone that the ramen was gluten-free as long as it was made with the rice noodles. Based on that information, we drove over with our family, including a very hungry child. After we were seated, I told our waitress that I was gluten-free and that we had called ahead about the menu. Instead of letting us know right away that there was an issue, she went to speak with the manager, and we spent about 10 minutes looking over the menu and deciding what to order. When the manager finally came to our table, she told us they actually did not have any gluten-free options. I explained that we had specifically called ahead and were told the ramen was gluten-free with rice noodles. She clarified that only the plain rice noodles themselves were gluten-free--not the ramen or broth. That is very different from what we were told over the phone. I then asked whether I could order a poke bowl with white or brown rice. She said the rice was not gluten-free because it was prepared with sugar and vinegar. Since sugar and vinegar are typically gluten-free ingredients, I asked for clarification, but she simply repeated that she does not make any of the rice gluten-free and was unwilling to help identify anything on the menu that I could safely eat. I do appreciate that she refused to serve me something if she believed it wasn't safe. As someone with a gluten allergy, I'd much rather be told "no" than end up having an allergic reaction. However, the entire situation could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information over the phone or if we had been informed immediately after being seated instead of waiting while we looked through the menu. The biggest frustration was the wasted trip and wasted time. We drove over specifically because we were told there were gluten-free options, only to leave hungry with our family after sitting there with a hungry child. Better staff training and clearer communication about gluten-free options would go a long way in preventing this from happening to someone else.
