Really gave this a 4 star because I wasn't a fan of the noodles- kind of tasted like instant & not hand pulled which I know are two different type of ramen. Pricey yes but the food is always good. I tried the location on division street for the first time and same quality as I have gotten at the Charlotte location as well as the east nashville location. My coworker and I got to have lunch after deciding on Ramen and he picked Otaku Ramen at the Gulch. It had been more than 10yrs since i ate at this specfic location due to a food poisoning situation that made me avoid coming here.... I ordered the No 2 but substituted the Miso Chicken instead of the pork and added fish cake slices. I needed some heat but there is no chili powder so I took out my Buldak hot sauce that I travel with and added some to my noodles. Our server was attentive and obliged my request for hot water with lemons to soothe my sore throat. I completely finished my entire bowl which was absolutely delicious! I ordered the shio tonkotsu ramen and the broth was creamy and flavorful, the noodles had a decent bite and weren't too soggy, and the pork was fatty and delicious. I like this place overall. Came in about 6pm on a Tuesday night and it was almost empty so no need for reso. Parking was free the first hour. Was greeted and seated at the bar right away. A girl got me a water and took my order, as well as letting me know the HH specials. The HH specials aren't impressive by any means, and she let me know ahead of time absolutely no substituting or mixing any items on any ramens. Only adding on for charge. It was good to know, but I do think the policy of the restaurant could be rethought for those who can't eat certain items. Sapporo on tap and spicy chicken ramen was great. The service was fast and friendly. The server was present for refills but not intrusive which was a great balance. My wife ordered the Shoyu ramen (#2). It was really good. A little spicy, but not too much. And it was hot which made it taste better when the weather is chilly. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken domburi. It looked good, but when I took a bite of the rice it was cold. Domburi should be served over warm, fresh rice. Mine was ice cold. A BIG disappointment. When I went up to complain I was told that the rice is supposed to be cold. Also the cucumber was ice cold. The chicken was ok. I wish I had ordered ramen. The man I spoke to didn't offer an apology or offer to do anything for me. The restroom was pretty clean. And the eating area which is long table tops and stools was very clean. If you're needing a quick ramen fix, I guess this will do. But, if you're craving authentic Japanese ramen, this is not it. I was charged $3 extra for the ground pork, but they didn't include it. I was charged 5.5% for to go packaging, etc. I got to my hotel and there were no utensils...not even a napkin. No gender neutral bathrooms though, one bathroom for both genders and other one for family. The service was amazing! They greet you right away & got a table immediately, despite them opening at 12pm (M-F hours) & it was around 1pm when we reached there. No physical menus, there's a QR code, but I've attached the menus! My friends & I came to Nashville to celebrate my birthday. I've lived in Nashville for years now and still hadn't tried Otaku Ramen. That finally changed recently when my sister and I were on the hunt for some good, warm food! We came on an early Saturday evening and was immediately seated. There weren't many people there around 5pm, but when we left the place was starting to fill up. I ordered the vegetable gyoza to share, and the Tonkotsu for my ramen. We both loved the gyoza because it was so flavorful. The Tonkotsu was good, and was just what I needed on a cold day. I also ordered a seasons cocktail which had pomegranate in it. It was a bit too sweet, but still good. Overall, it was a good first impression to Otaku! Cute place in the Gulch, parking garage nearby. It is a low visibility street so didn't have trouble getting a table. The ramen is okay. We requested to add in some items (you pay extra & they are listed on the menu) but like its 1 teaspoon worth of stuff and is not worth it. I'm not even fully convinced they added all the items we requested. The ramen also came without items (menu says it came with pork belly but did not come with any). We ordered from Otaku on uber eats tonight, as they looked like a quick option listing ~20 min delivery. Our time kept being pushed back on the app so I got in touch with the driver, who had waited 20 minutes at the store by this point. Otaku kept saying 5 minutes to him until finally, at 40 mins past our original "delivery" time he had to cancel. Our second driver then shows up and they start telling him 5 mins as well... at this point it's too late to order anywhere else similar, and we decide to ride it out. At an hour+, delivery is finally en route. It arrives and we open it to find HALF of our order.... dumplings are ice cold, and they've only put on ramen in. Half the broth for that one ramen had spilled leaving a pretty measly bowl for one of us to eat. No way to get in touch with the restaurant as their phone goes straight to voicemail. 0/10 experience. read more

What's better than bellying up to the bar for a bowl full of pork belly broth! I love ramen and Otaku has been on my list for a while now, just based on their IG. I ordered the New Wave ramen, veggie gyoza, and the Nashville hot chicken bao bun. The new wave ramen has slight smokey flavor which normally I'm not into, but it all seem to work. This massive bowl came loaded with Korean BBQ pork loin, burnt miso sauce, smoked chili oil, onion parsley, a ramen egg, with a pork broth base. This was delicious!, as if you couldn't tell from that long list of tasty items. I loved how the noodles were just slightly undercooked which added a pleasant chewy texture. The gyoza were good, nothing super special, but the hot chicken bao buns were another highlight. Crunchy, spicy, on a light and airy bun. It was all things!
