My first cocktail was perfect or shall we say a "Pear-Fect Manhattan". This play on the Manhattan had a hint of pear and was spirit forward. We continued the evening with two sharable plates, the first was the Tenderloin Steak Bites served with a perfect Wasabi Kimchi Sauce. As tender as it was, the steak could have used more seasoning or being marinated in that delicious sauce. The second sharable was the Chile Seared Shrimp, placed atop delicious Cheesy Grits, very yummy. The evening ended with the most amazing dessert and paired cocktail. By all means, do yourself a favor and indulge in the most decadent Butter Cake drizzled in a Bourbon Caramel Sauce paired with a Amaretto Sour cocktail. You wouldn't necessarily know it, but the White Rabbit nestled in this strip mall sets itself up with the ambiance as a high end establishment.

We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which we had no issue with. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes because there was a table available on the patio. The weather was beautiful, and with summer being so short in Minnesota, we like to take advantage of it whenever we can. Our server came to our table shortly after we were seated, but it was long enough that we both had time to decide what we wanted before she arrived. I ordered the Texas Philly, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. We had to wait a while for our food, which we understood given how busy the restaurant was. Others around us were complaining about the wait, and those tables had a different server who was very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up. The hand-cut fries were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. It's so rare to go out to eat and get hot fries, let alone fries that are piping hot. That alone was worth the wait! My husband loved the brisket sandwich, and the Texas Philly was SO good--piled full of meat. We live in the south metro, but it was well worth the 30+ minute drive to get there. Everything looked so good, I truly had a hard time picking what I wanted. So I ended up getting 4 different items. Okay...so I ordered 2 of the signature items. First, I tried "The Sweet Chick" with a sweet potato waffle, fried chicken, maple glaze, with spices, topped with a few sliced jalapenos. Wow - heavenly! I also ordered the signature "SMACKaroni" mac & cheese creation with several cheeses including Gouda. Again, a home run. Both of these dishes were a smaller size so they came together in one clamshell box. The mac & cheese functioned more as a yummy savory side. It was perfect. I was so delighted with the flavors, I went back and I ordered 2 more foods to take home. I got the savory "Chicken Dumplin" waffle, topped off with diced scallions. It came with a side of fried rice. And last but not least, I went with a super sweet selection, "Nana's Puddin" waffle with sliced bananas, nilla wafer cookies, caramel, and whipped cream - Ya' Man! This time it was the Greenhorn food truck, based out of Anoka, frequently found at breweries and special events in the NW burbs. Today they had Banh Mi sandwiches (Vietnamese) and Chicken Katsu (Japanese). I ordered a Banh Mi and it was excellent. It was a lot like a Po Boy except with thin sliced veggies, sliced jalapenos, and sauce. For sides they had two American style options, Cheese Curds and Loaded Tots. I grabbed a side order of loaded tots. Again, they were great. Note: a fork is definitely needed for the loaded tots! I'd eat here again any time. Thumbs up! -Maxx

Each beer ticket costed $6 which was a little steep, but to be expected at an event like this. I was really hoping to see TotBoss show up at this fair, but I saw the list and knew they wouldn't be there.. (secretly hoping inside they would come!!- if you haven't tried them they are BOSS). It was a neat little set up, all the trucks arranged in a big loop. A few things that turned me off.. -Lack of tables. There were only a handful of picnic tables and taller standing tables, and the food was not always easy to tackle while walking. -Lack of shade on one of the hottest days yet this summer. There was one tent to get some relief from the sun. That was it. Would I go again, yes. But I think I'd rather do a different location. At least in uptown you can go into the nearby shops for some relief from the heat.

You can definitely mix and match. We ordered chocolate, s'mores, extreme peanut butter, raspberry cream cheese, Mexican hot chocolate, and slapshot. You can view your options on their website. There were no discrepancies on availability. It also made it easy if you want to ask family members on what they want before you go get purchase your brownies in-person. The food truck event in Blaine occurred between 12 - 5pm on Saturday. When I arrived at 1:00pm, the line was very long, but after 3pm when I returned, the line was shorter. We stored our pack of 6 in the fridge. I have only tried the chocolate brownie and in my opinion, it is sweet and even after refrigeration, it is soft.
