    S'mores brownie

The ladies running this food truck had their service down. The worst thing was trying to decide which brownie we wanted to try. We chose S'mores because it seemed perfect for summer even though it was a really warm day. The brownie was moist and the marshmallow topping was perfectly gooey. It was a great dessert.

Finally had a chance to try these brownies I've heard so much about! And oof, these take brownies to a whole new level. No wonder they're so popular! I tried the s'mores brownie and the strawberry cheesecake blondie. The two were $18 total which is pricey but mostly worth the cost. Obviously there's a bit of an up charge since they're a novelty and there's no competition. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out!

I got these as a gift delivered to my doorstep and I have to say that these are the best brownies I've ever had. I can't tell you how moist and perfectly chewy these brownies were ! You could literally see the oils/butter on the wrapper - but ignore that because it's just a testament to how delicious these were. Calories don't count when it comes to eating these bad boys. I'm not entirely sure what flavors we got since it was a gift but from the looks of it, I think we had 2 chocolate, 1 cookies and cream, and 1 salted caramel. Each one was as good as the one before it. These brownies are the best ones you'll ever have and you won't regret trying it ! They literally melt in your mouth. I can't even choose a favorite because they were all too perfect.

If you are looking to support local and enjoy the best ultimate brownie experience, this is where you want to get them! I have officially given up on making my own brownies because these are so good, there is no way I could ever compare in my own kitchen! I got a delivery order with the following: Extreme Peanut Butter, S'mores, Caramel Espresso, Salted Caramel, Apple Crisp, and Signing Bonus. All of the six that I ordered, never made it past day 3 of having them. Within the first day I had already devoured 2. They are addicting and the perfect treat! If you are a brownie lover, I highly suggest placing an order for brownies here. They deliver (check website for delivery days) as well as take pick up orders from their Warming House location. You can also follow their food truck on their Facebook and get your brownies that way as well! I will be ordering plenty more brownies from this place. My goal is to eventually order one of everything off their current menu. Plus, how can you not order from a place who names a brownie the Nut-Cup? ;)

Found the food truck in Eden Prairie today. Service was swift and efficient. There was a few interesting options for different types of flavors, with the base price starting at $5 and they get a dollar or two more expensive the more intricate the toppings. For me the brownie was just a brownie. Good. Moist. Chocolatey. But the buttercream swirl topping was the star in my opinion. They are also a little small for the price in my opinion.

Decadent, sweet, rich, and flavorful - yum! My latest eating adventure was the Hockey Mom Brownies food truck. I caught their truck when they were parked in Elk River. I tried 2 limited edition brownies off the "secret menu". And my friend got 2 brownies off the regular menu. All 4 flavors were incredibly good! My only bitch is the ridiculous pricing. My 2 brownies cost 17 bucks! Really, $8.50 each??? My friend's 2 brownies were 12 dollars. They were $6.00 each. From what I can tell, this works out to around $1 to $2 per ounce. Outrageous! If you get baked goods from Hans' Bakery in Anoka, your local bakery, or even your local grocery store, most baked goods in Minnesota are around 50 cents an ounce...give or take. I can see paying these prices if you're trapped inside a stadium and an event like a hockey game or a baseball game. You have no choice but to get ripped off and overpay for your beer and your hot dogs and your sweets because you're trapped, you can't leave. But a food truck? The food truck competes directly with your local bakery. Good brownies. I'm glad I tried them. But next time I'll just buy from my local bakery: Hans' Bakery or Truffles & Torts or Swedish Crown Bakery or Dunkin Donuts or even the Coborns Grocery Store bakery. -Daddy Maxx Retro P.S. For those of you that care, there were no face masks or gloves at the Hockey Mom Brownies food truck.

I've been seeing OHM Brownies all over Instagram. They have been on my mind. Whenever we leave Rosemount I wonder if I could coordinate a visit to the Grand Avenue location when they are open. TODAY WAS THE DAY! HOORAY! I called and spoke with the son of the hockey mom. He said the shop is open. I asked about a customer limit in the store and he asked that we just socially distance ourselves. Good enough. He also said that the hockey mom and other hockey player will be there. We were greeted by hockey mom and other hockey player when we arrived. Hockey mom gave us the run of the menu and what they have that's not on the menu, they can't fit everything on the screen. They have quite the variety of brownies! Seasonal, mainstays, gluten free, oh so many, it was hard to decide. I asked how the concept came about. Her splendid brownies were born from the necessity of feeding teenage hockey boys on a tight schedule while going to and from games throughout the metro area. It just grew exponentially from there. A true success story. From food truck to brick and mortar, the brownies and hospitality back it up. I had the salted caramel brookie dough. The pillow of buttery chocolate on the bottom, the silky caramel in the middle and the wonderful cookie on the top, a masterpiece for my tastebuds. AND you can order and they will deliver!

Caramel Espresso brownie... look at the moistness!

This is truly a Minnesota gem. All too often my husband and I get excited to try a new place here that everyone is raving about, only to be sorely disappointed. The Original Hockey Mom Brownie brownie was an absolute exception! Seriously... these people need a booth at the state fair! Our initial taste test took place over the summer when we ordered pick up from their food truck. I was grateful to not have to wait in the 20 deep line and walk immediately around back to pick up the 7-8 brownies my husband wanted to eat that night (not kidding...he has a HUGE sweet tooth) I'll be honest- when I paid I was taken aback at the $$ for said brownies...however, when I got home and saw how massive they were I felt a little better. After the first bite I was no longer worried about any cost incurred. Aside from the fact that they have a great variety of different flavor combinations, these brownies are truly delicious from first bite to last. They are so moist, all of the frosting and Ooey gooey good stuff they put in them is just right on! The balance, the flavor, the consistency, there is just nothing missing. There is nothing for me to critique. We have since been back maybe four times and have tried everything from the pumpkin chai cream cheese to the Mexican hot chocolate brownie. Our absolute favorite is the buzzer beater honey crisp, and the Hat-trick snickers.. but try them all!!!! They even offer gluten free brownies so nobody has to miss out on the gooey goodness. This is our go to place when we want a sweet treat and I think they're beating out all the bakeries/sweet shops here thus far. Keep this a Minnesota gem and please never change!

These brownies are delicious and we've had the pleasure of eating them at a few local events. Service has always been with a smile.

Tried at Taste of Minnesota and was way overpriced for what you got. $15 for a small 3" brownie that wasn't even 1" thick.

To run through the evening courses let's start with the opening app and cocktail. The Chips & Dip, house made seasoned chips with a perfect Blue Cheese dip with caramelized shallots, I suggest ordering an extra cup of the dip as there are an abundance of chips. My first cocktail was perfect or shall we say a "Pear-Fect Manhattan". This play on the Manhattan had a hint of pear and was spirit forward. We continued the evening with two sharable plates, the first was the Tenderloin Steak Bites served with a perfect Wasabi Kimchi Sauce. As tender as it was, the steak could have used more seasoning or being marinated in that delicious sauce. The second sharable was the Chile Seared Shrimp, placed atop delicious Cheesy Grits, very yummy. The evening ended with the most amazing dessert and paired cocktail. By all means, do yourself a favor and indulge in the most decadent Butter Cake drizzled in a Bourbon Caramel Sauce paired with a Amaretto Sour cocktail. You wouldn't necessarily know it, but the White Rabbit nestled in this strip mall sets itself up with the ambiance as a high end establishment.

I ordered the Rib Roast Dip. It was very good. I ate half there and boxed up the other half. the other half was actually better the next day! My friend got the Chimi-asada bowl and reported it was very good. Overall, my first visit was very good! We even made plans to return the following week.
