In 2025 took it in to have some warranty work done on the rear window because of bubbling. Johnny scraped off enough of the rear defrost lines rendering the defroster useless. And still charged me $100. I had to pay $650 for a whole new back window! When I called him he said he told me that there was a possibility that the defroster wouldn't work after. Certainly there is a way of removing tint without the use of a scraper with a razor blade. He then told me that this is Hawai'i and no one uses there rear defroster anyway! Unbelievable! We had agreed on him paying for half the price of the window and he still couldn't honor that agreement. Coming up short. And when asked about the charge for warranty work that the manufacturer pays him to do he couldn't come up with a decent answer. Even though he posts videos on social media saying that there is no charge to the customer for warranty work! I have talked to people saying that Lacy would have done right and took care of this entirely. So to everyone that has gone here and had good things to say just know that you better be ready to pay for warranty work that Llumar pays him to do and there is a high potential that your rear defroster won't work if you have the back tint replaced here. It's a shame that this guy is ruining his dads business. He also told me after putting the tint on to tell all my boys about him. I did. They also began taking things off my car before even asking if I'd authorize repairs. They tried to charge came out to $1,600 for a brake job--I was able to only spend a few hundred for a friend to do some of it and wait another year on the rest. Definitely a scam and some trigger-happy mechanics who won't do you any favors.
