I had never heard of this place, and then in 1 week, I got to try it twice! Once for my birthday last week, where I specifically said "NO CAKE". I came rushing in at about 5:15 p.m. to buy a birthday cake for my dad. They didn't have a huge selection since it was the end of the day, but the cakes were absolutely gorgeous!!! I got a cake with chocolate frosting, embellished with a wide band of red ribbon, and tuxedo dipped strawberries surrounding a pile of shaven dark and milk chocolate atop the cake. Divine. They used a piece of white fondant (looked almost like a scroll of paper) and wrote Happy Birthday on it for me. They had a huge variety of 2 bite cakes and pastries in addition to their regular cakes. The staff was pleasant and assisted me the minute I walked in the door. I even got a little sqaure of carrot cake to go at no charge! My only beef was that I was told that I was getting a chocolate cake, but once we got to cutting it was a mocha-ish white cake. That was a disappointment, but it was still pretty good. For $25, I can't believe I got a cake as elaborate as I did. It was a fantastic price. The cake I purchased could serve 8-10. Had a tasting for my wedding here yesterday, I really don't understand the hype with this place. The cake was bland and really lacking any flavor, the cakes that were brushed w liquors tasted overwhelmingly like alcohol and not in a good way. They also were not willing to work with in preferences at all, the cream cheese frosting tasted like plain cream cheese so I asked if we could substitute the butter cream for the carrot cake and were told no! LIKE WHAT? You can't use a frosting you already make on a cake you already make?!?! They also "couldn't" make it any sweeter. All of this lead me to believe it is in fact a cake factory, that you are just a $$ to them and they don't care about their customers wants or needs. We got to the digital picture they came up with and it wasn't really what I asked for, it was close but when I told her what I wanted she was more focused on her opinion. When my cousin first bought a cake from here I was so in love with the strawberries dipped in chocolate because it was so sweet and the strawberries were a good size but when I go to eating the cake it was way too sweet for me. Cakes are very nice looking but it was just too much frosting. I've gotten several birthday cakes from Konditor Meister. In my family, it's not a party without one so when it came to my wedding cake there was really no competition. My fiancé and I came here for the tasting. We brought our mothers and my grandmother. The front of the store is visually appealing with many of their unique and incredible wedding cakes on display. To the right is the pastry section and to the left is the cake order/pickup. We were led out back to a was a clean, cute room with soft lighting and about a dozen wedding cakes on display. We were quickly shown to a table and asked if we wanted tea, coffee, or water. Then they set down two trays of cakes and gave us time to taste them all. I highly recommend the chocolate peanut butter cake for a heavier more rich cake and the raspberry lemon for a lighter cake. The woman helping create our dream cake was extremely patient and very helpful. She knew we wanted to save money where we could so she suggested we do a four layer cake with a sheet cake or two in the back and no one would know the difference besides the venue. We were given an adequate amount of time to taste and to create our dream cake on paper. We also ordered custom cookies as favors for our guests. When we were done we were surprised with a half dozen complementary pastries, which were absolutely amazing! The second time around, we had cut it too close making an appointment to finalize our cake and cookie order and they were incredibly accommodating fitting my fiancé and me in on his day off. Even though they were insanely busy and we were fit in the consultant again was patient, friendly, and didn't rush us. This is usually my go to place for cakes and never had a problem with them until covid! Whoever answered the phone was quite rude when I was trying to place an order for a cake. I understand that they are very limited on what they can do but someone told me that they would be able to do it with one of the cakes they already have. But this lady wouldn't let me get a word out to explain that a previous person had told me she could do it with cake that they already had. When I finally got a word out to explain to her, she finally did it. And when finalizing the cake she repeated very thing back to me and it sounded as she got everything right. Used them for my wedding. When I think konditor Meister, I think cake and chocolate covered strawberries. The first time I had their cake was at my 8th grade graduation. The school had a mini party and bought us this cake! It was amazing. Then came my high school graduation and I wanted their cake but was afraid of the cost... However the cakes are very budget friendly! So when it came time for my wedding I had always imagined using konditor Meister. I was a little detailed for a bit thinking montilios would do the job, but they were over priced (charging almost double the konditor mister price) and the cake at their show is moister than the cakes at the tastings. Konditor miester was amazing. Every time I went in for a tasting they were so nice, and the have an amazing cake tasting room! So beautiful and so many displays, it almost makes you want to change you cake Idea when you see them! All of their cakes were amazing, but we picked the lemon and raspberry filling, teirmasue, and the strawberry granmonier (their most popular wedding cake) all were just to die for. I also ordered a special design grooms cake which was lungi and daisy theme (Mario game). It came out beautiful, and it was chocolate cake with Oreo filling, YUM!! When I told them I should be compensated for more because the cake was very amateur they told me there was nothing they could do about it the manager was not very sympathetic at all. Honestly my cake was one of the things I was a little disappointed in. The cake tasted absolutely delicious. The carrot cake is my favorite of the flavors. I also ordered a groom's cake which came out great but the colors on the wedding cake were a little off. I had wanted hot pink tulips on top and they weren't exactly the right color. Also I had an issue with the person who delivered the cake. When he was delivering it, my mom and other family members saw it and asked to look at it. He told me that he really didn't like the colors of the cake. My stepdad responded that's fine but it doesn't matter because it wasn't his wedding cake. As the delivery person walks away he proceeds to say "well, I have good taste" This interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. I will say when I called to complain they were very apologetic and did send me a gift certificate. However, it did dampen the day a little. read more

Went to a 1pm appt at Konditor Meister this Sunday. Thankfully I only took my fiance and not the 4 total that they let you bring for choosing a wedding cake. There is a back room with coffee and water stations and little tables for everyone to sit at and ponder about their new cakes. Pretty much every family had the "ITS YOUR DAY" look on their face - while trying to force their opinion on "loved ones". We were greeted by Jenn and sat at a table for two by the window. It's not super modern, but really who cares? You are there for baked goods. She brought us 5 slices of cake to get started, but let us know we could always come back another time and sample something different if it wasn't freshly made that day. There are also all different types of creams and frosting to try and those are always available and gave us the list. We ate our cakes, decided the chocolates were just to intense for a spring wedding with a heavy menu and ran her around a bit for water and different creams. Ended up deciding on 3 different kinds of cake for our 4 layer monstrosity. Tiers and flowers are additional, and all the package deal buttercream cakes are plentiful. I'll have to update after the actual wedding. Loved our rep Jenn though, so thoughtful and nice and gave us a 6 pack of free pastry to go! This German bakery does a great job following European tradition of cake making. My mom and I use to always stop by when we get the chance and get a little box of ready-to-go pastries and overindulge. The pastries are nicely decorated even though they are small and bite-sized. I normally get the cannolis(which are really good), but lately they haven't had them avaliable. Very sad. All of the cakes look so delicious and beautifully decorated. I tried the chocolate with strawberry cake before, which was pretty good. However, my friend bought a cake from here recently that was a bit dry on the inside and had an overload of cream (when she specifically asked for very little). We came here for a cake tasting after I had heard this had the best tasting cake around. I am obsessed not with the design of my wedding cake, but the flavor so I thought this place would be perfect. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed in the flavor. The cake tasting itself was spectacular. They gave us a slice of every flavor right away. My fiance' proceeded to eat almost every piece of cake whole until my sister snapped at him that he needed to save some for everyone else! We were all impressed with the strawberries and cream flavor. Another tip is that they don't do fondant which is great for flavor wise, but I also wanted a grooms cake with a particular shape and fondant just looks better. The cakes here are delicious and beautifully decorated . Only thing is if your religion or personal preference is to NOT HAVE ALCOHOL in your cake, make sure when placing your order to MENTION it. We wanted to get our son a cake for his 4th birthday that he would love, and Konditor Meister came through. The decorations put your average store-bought cake to shame. This is a 4.5 star, can't round up to 5 just because it isn't. My favorite is their strawberry grand marnier with chocolate dipped strawberries. Had ordered from them on multiple occasions. I tried their 8 inch all the way up to 12" cake. I would say that the taste of the cake varies but overall descent. Sometimes moist, sometimes too dry, but the experience was good. They have a lot of people working there on busy times, so order early and pick up during holidays! I like their cake designs though, definitely sometime pretty to look at. For the birthday cakes, the frosting is the right mix of sweetness without being too sweet, and you can get a photo on the cake and they put it on a big piece white chocolate (I think that's what it is). We stopped by here this past weekend to pick up a cheesecake (one of my favorite deserts). But I was sadly dissapointed in their version of it. We got the plain cheesecake with dipped strawberries on top. While it looked amazing, the taste was not. It ended up being an overdone (rather dry) and tasteless cake. There was not much flavor in there at all. Since this was our first time there, i can not speak on any of their other items. I will go back and try a few more things and hopefully have to change this review. But right now, i would avoid their cheesecake. read more
