Since I was in the area, I decided to see what they had to offer. The trio of biscuits sounded intriguing, but I was looking for something different. I was surprised I could order the "lunch" items at 9:15 AM. The Pork Lunch Plate sounded perfect as I did want to try some of the meat and greens. It came with soft and moist rice, which was a nice surprise. The slow roasted pulled pork was seasoned well and tasty with the side of homemade guava bbq sauce. The wild greens salad came with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. The homemade papaya seed dressing was similar to a thin honey mustard vinaigrette to me. The foam box was placed in a very greasy paper bag.

    Coffee was awesome!

The staff greeted me right away and were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my visit, which made the experience even better. I had the opportunity to try a couple of their signature bowls. The Sweet & Spicy Shrimp Bowl was delicious and tasted very fresh, with a nice balance of flavors. My personal favorite, though, was the Sesame Ginger Chicken Bowl--I loved the crunch, the hint of ginger, and how everything came together. It was a really satisfying combination. I also tried their wonton soup with tofu, which was flavorful and comforting--definitely a solid option if you're looking for something warm to pair with your meal. The highlight of my visit was creating my own custom poke burrito, which was honestly a 10/10. Being able to customize everything and see it come together made the experience fun, and the final result was packed with flavor. Overall, everything tasted fresh, and the quality really stood out. I'll definitely be back again, and I highly recommend checking this spot out--whether you're already a fan of Hawaiian poke or trying it for the first time like I was.

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
