They have some of the unusual and delicious flavors when it comes to icecream. I have tried the Key lime pie and it was so smooth and flavorful that i cant forget the taste. There aren't many places to park if you happen to come here while the beach is booming. Prices are very reasonable and we love the fact they offer a "mini scoop" on the ice cream as it's just right for the kiddos where very little to none goes to the garbage, best of all is it's only $1.87! While there are only 5 tables inside with seating, outside you will find an abundance of seating/tables w/umbrellas. My only wish would be that they're open later because during our two separate visits here they experience quite a boom in business around a half hour prior to closing. read more

Cute little spot to get some ice cream right on the beach. But honestly I have to say the place smelled unpleasant and felt dirty. They soft serve ice cream machine was broken as well. They do have a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from. I wanted to get a cone but they did not look fresh at all so I opted for a cup instead. The ice cream was good, but nothing really amazing. We had the rocky road ice cream in a cup. Some of our ice cream bites had ice crystals in them, which is so disappointing when you are expecting smooth ice cream. For the price, my boyfriend and I got enough to last us two days and we loved the leftovers! I would highly recommend the Tampa Cuban. This place has been around awhile and is old but charming. Ordered their Monday specials which were 2 tacos and chips as well as a cuban and chips. Bother were just under $6 each. Tacos were stuffed with meat and the chips and salsa were ok but not fresh/homemade. The cuban was perfectly grilled and great. Menu is pretty expansive for such a tiny place. Dine inside or outside or take it to go. Staff was friendly. Ice cream choices were great but we were too full to indulge. Definitely worth a stop. The food was good. But I have such a sour taste in my mouth. We ordered food at the counter and I took a bottle of beer out of the cooler. I'm a 61 year old woman. Twist off caps don't twist off for me. I asked the pipsqueak behind the counter to open it for me and he told me to walk outside and find the opener mounted on the wall. Go outside??? Are you kidding me??? My husband intervened and opened it before I told the kid off. I was going to forget the poor service and the attitude. I ordered a sandwich. They come with a bag of chips. I said I wanted rice INSTEAD and that I understood it was $2.59. So they called us to come get our food. Not sure why they couldn't bring it to the table, we were the only customers at the time. And there were TWO containers of rice on the tray, one big and one small. I said I wanted only one. They said the small container was INSTEAD of the chips and that I also ordered the $2.59 bigger size. I said I only wanted one serving. They said, "Merry Christmas." I gave up. I hope they take the evening's profits and buy a bottle opener. The crab cake sandwich and salted caramel ice cream cone rate 5 stars. Kooky Coconut is 500 ft to the pristine beach. They have indoor AC dining and lots of outdoor dining. They practice social distancing and wearing of masks. Great beer selection. Kooky's is a cute little shop filled with a variety of yummy ice cream flavors, sandwiches, and drinks as well as a few beach gifts. there's outdoor seating or you can just walk to the beach to enjoy your treats. parking is limited and for customers only while you're *at Kooky's* so keep an eye on the spaces near the beach access entry for optimal beach time. Kooky's has a great location & lovely staff, so its definitely worth the extra few minutes to travel a bit further south where it's less crowded.
