    before and after cleaning concrete

Koolcote of Texas was amazing. I had them resurface my pool deck and I was blown away by the results. They totally exceeded my expectations. The professionalism of this operation is top notch. I received an email every day telling me what time the crew should arrive and what they were going to accomplish that day. And they were always right on time and finished what they started with a good clean up afterwards. They had a crew leader that came by to inspect the detail repeatedly throughout the week and even made a few changes that enhanced the appearance of the deck. My pool was left clean with no issues from all the dust and cement. I highly recommend them!

Did an amazing job in the garage. I had a tough time deciding on a good look that will be durable and aesthetically pleasing. I met with a consultant, Hunter. Over a couple of weeks he showed me a lot of different examples, answered all of my questions., and was never pushy. He let me take my time and made sure i was comfortable with the final decision. I went with the marble epoxy, and it is gorgeous! We will be putting video arcade games and will have high foot traffic. I couldn't be happier. The price was reasonable and the crew was professional. Highly recommend!!

What a real mess. They paid to clean it up.

We hired these guys to re-do our pool deck. We met the salesman and picked out the design and planned the date. The work crew came across as a bit sketchy and unprofessional. When they blasted the old deck to remove the outer layer, even though they had covered our pool, all that cement dust went into the pool. The company did pay my pool cleaning bill so that was cool. Without hassle at that. My biggest complaint is about the work crew. They never seemed to have a consistent schedule which drove me up the wall. There were days they wouldn't show up until after 2pm and then they would still be in my yard working until dusk. I didn't like that as my evening time is my home time. I don't want to be bothered with contractors when I'm at home trying to have family time and unwind from being at work all day. Another big concern was one Saturday the crew showed up to work, now mind you this is during the blistering summer heat, and they were drinking beer. I wouldn't have minded had they asked if it were ok to throw back a cold one or two, but, they didn't and what's worse is they didn't even try to conceal it. They just threw their empty cans in a pile in the back yard. They picked them up when they left, but, still it was unprofessional. When these guys finally did finish there were some problems that we addressed with the company and they immediately fixed them. Over all we are very pleased with the outcome. Our pool deck looks so much better and everyone that sees it just raves about it. I would use these guys again and I definitely recommend them.

We just had a slab poured for our back patio - Does anyone have pride in their work anymore? Our Subcontractor KoolCote of Texas are not taking care of the issue. The staining job for a small area was over $2000 and the owner has yet to contact us despite the GC's requests. They keep sending out other people who are not addressing the issue. I have been on various forums and people say they have dogs and stained concrete and their floors are never scratched. especially by 50 lb a dog who gets regular grooming just by walking on it to go potty out back. I let the staining sit for the time they told me too. I brought up that where the dogs walked there was dust coming up from the scratches. When you mop it, it disappears. The subs came out again. Then, patio floor was sealed and stained again 3 days ago. More scratches and seal coming up. The contractor said these scratches are normal. When I mop over them, they buff out. I am not going to be moping but once a week. He said they could charge me more for another extra thick coat that will possibly then chip. I think I need a new contractor.

I had a wood plank overlay system installed in the spring of 2021. I noticed the following crack 6 months later. After ignoring me for several weeks, I was informed that cracking isn't covered by warranty. If something like this isn't covered by warranty, I'm not sure what would be. Please avoid this company.

After ~1 year - crack also creates "their material to crack and chip off". Be aware costs more to fix later.

Our driveway was concrete and had a few cracks so we wanted to fix it up nice for our beautiful neighborhood. A friend recommended KoolCote. KoolCote people were professional and the end result looked very nice. The driveway continued cracking and it just gets worse and worse. This effort did not assist like our previous effort at another house did when we did a stone coating instead. Photos attached. You can see the caulking is pulling away and it also apparently pulls the driveway material causing the materials used to also crack up and come apart. To remedy, we learn it needs to be grind down and smoothed and re-caulked and re-painted but this will cost you a few hundred more. The initial work cost several thousand dollars only about 2 years back. :( Folks: Be sure if you get this done you are aware of the following: - Consider that if any cracking happens now this effort won't halt it or remedy whatsoever - You need to fix it yourself or pay a lot more to fix within a short time frame and repeatedly - Materials cracking aren't warrantied - Become aware what type of material to buy to fix it yourself over time to hopefully save money - Be aware of the type of chemicals needed to power wash it down and how to power wash so you won't destroy the material - Be sure they give you some paint or the color they used before they leave - Don't pick the light colors because after a few times with your tires running over it, it just marks it black in a bad, ugly way. Honestly, I wish we never used this stuff! Not worth how it looks now or the maintenance/cost.

KoolCote provided an estimate for re-texturing my pool deck, which needed work following the replacement of the pool skimmer.

During the quoting process, tasks that appeared to require only 15 minutes were routinely estimated and billed at 30 minutes. Several very simple tasks were quoted at around $300 for 30 minutes of labor, which equates to approximately $600 per hour. Concerned by the pricing, I called the owner for clarification (Anthony Hunter). He stated their rate was $275 per hour, but also explained that they bill using detailed line items. Based on the estimate we received, the effective hourly cost was significantly higher than what we consider reasonable or competitive for this type of work. My issue is not with Nick personally, he was professional, but with the pricing model and the way the estimate was structured. The quote we received was dramatically higher than market and left me with little confidence that the billing practices are transparent or customer-focused. I would encourage anyone considering this company to obtain multiple quotes and carefully review all line items before proceeding. Similar companies charge $100-$200/hour - this pricing model is egregious. These are not lawyers, this is run of the mill handy-man work.

The team (Carl, William, Artie, Julio and the team...) have been overall very helpful - responsive, attentive, reasonable, and flexible...and the projects have all turned out very nice! Carl is the numbers guy, William is the PM/building guy and together they make a good team. We had to work through a lot of details especially with the addition (permitting, pouring foundation, etc.) and the team was helpful and patient throughout. When we encountered some challenging issues with the siding project (demo from the siding caused minor interior damage and an exterior hose spigot was accidentally cut), the team resolved the issues appropriately. The workers try to be careful but unexpected things happen and the team/William were quick to fix things! I highly recommend this company to use for projects like custom sheds but also larger projects like patios, additions and even exterior projects like siding!

What surprised me most is I was able to customize many aspects of the build, as opposed to it being predetermined design and construction. I definitely plan to go to them for the next project.
