let's get that bulgogi cooking!
Brian H.

My favorite Korean restaurant! Korean BBQ restaurants have been popping up all over the Indianapolis area lately and frankly, that's great! But this is one that does more than just BBQ with many traditional Korean soups, stews, and entrees also on offer. And you'll get a great selection of banchan with your meal! BBQ is on electric grills. There is no AYCE option, but the portions are good and the prices reasonable. Meat quality is excellent and the marinated options are always flavorful. Their other meals are also delicious. If KBBQ is the only Korean food you've had, don't sleep on their other cuisine. There's a lot of other things to love on the menu. Many are even available on their lunch menu at an excellent value. Location is small and cozy. It can get a bit crowded when busy, but they happily accept reservations. Service is always friendly.

One of the best places to eat authentic Korean food! They have a decent selection of entrees and Korean BBQ. I highly recommend the tteokpoki, kimbap, and soon dubu. Their banchan (side dishes) are so good and different than all the other Korean restaurants in town. Everyone should go support this small business. It's a really small place, so you might have to wait for a table but it's worth it. There's free parking in the front and the back. Be prepared to smell like Korean BBQ when you leave.

My all time favorite place! If you are looking for the best authentic Korean food around then this place is the spot! Every dish is fantastic and the food is so fresh. :) The service is great as well. The folks that own this place are the sweetest.

Small family run business that serves authentic Korean food. We followed them all the way from back when they were at Bando's to now in Westfield! And I have to say years later it's still my favorite Korean restaurant here in Indiana. Nothing tops the hot stone kimchi dolsot on a cold wintry day. Or the classic bbq with your choice of meat. Nothings beats that sizzling sound of juicy tender meat on the grill and then dipped in sesame oil! Absolutely worth it. So happy they are back after being temporarily closed for a year!

This place is so cozy! The workers are nice and polite. The food was rich in flavor! Would definitely come here more often.

A wonderful little Korean restaurant. All the tables have grills, but we had food off of the lunch menu. I was excited to have Kimchee Jigae that I didn't make. I was not disappointed. Super hot and pleasantly spicy. My friends had bugglogi and a squid dish both of which were delicious. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Pay at the register. The lunch crowd was decent. This will soon be a favorite lunch spot. I am looking forward to trying the fried chicken!

yay they're open again after a long closure. They have the best ban chan and the best kimchi I've had in a long time. I look forward to many more meals here, thank you

Wonderful excellent home made meals we will definitely be back! Staff was so nice the service was awesome.

I love seeing a more diverse array of dining options opening in the suburbs. This new Korean BBQ spot just opened in a small strip center in Westfield a few months ago. It's steps away from downtown Westfield and has a few free parking spots out front. The outside is very basic looking, but you'll immediately fall in love with the smell when you walk in. Note on the smell: there isn't much ventilation in here, so you will smell like Korean BBQ when you leave. *Maybe leave your winter coat in the car.* I'd recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if you are going during dinner time, especially on a weekend. When you call, you can reserve either a Korean BBQ table (where you cook the meat at your own table) or a normal table where you can order food that they cook for you. We ordered the BBQ Combo 3, which came with shrimp, bulgogi, and pork belly, as well as banchan, aka, all of the small side dishes they serve with white rice and the raw meat that you will cook on the tabletop grill. These sides vary from seaweed to kimchi, and bean sprouts to spicy zucchini, and more. Our pork belly came frozen, which I thought was strange, but everything tasted good. We also got an order of Jap Chae, a transparent noodle dish with vegetables that we all shared. All of this was a good amount of food for three people. Everything was good and the owners were impressive -- very attentive and kind. We will definitely come back, most likely for their lunch specials or to try more dinner entrees that they cook for you, as I'm excited to see what they can cook up too!

It's located in a strip mall. Parking is limited but we were able to park front of the store on Wednesday afternoon. We were seated right away when we walked in at noon. We ordered fried chicken, seafood soup and black bean noodle dish. For lunch, I was surprised by how much side dishes were served with. Overall, everything tasted great and we enjoyed our lunch. Restaurant is pretty small so one waitress was working on all our tables. She was still attentive. It got pretty busy by the time we finished our lunch. So we helped ourselves and went up to the cash register to pay. Other than that service was great. I would like to go back for BBQ one day for dinner to experience the Korean bbq and their meat.

So many sides!

I almost always get sushi, the steamed buns, the seaweed salad, and the miso soup. But truly, any dish on the menu is just so good. There are always some type of special on drinks and food. My absolute favorite part about Chiba is the wonderful service I get particularly from the owner. I dine here a lot so I've gotten to know the owner and sitting in the bar area while he is bartending is probably one of my favorite experiences. Not only does he makes some good drinks, but he is also super personable and carries a great conversation! Since this is one of my favorite restaurants, I am super biased in telling you all to come here and eat. You won't be disappointed !

Can't seem to get away from all the construction nowadays everywhere. Couldn't tell if the place was open but apparently it was at 1pm on a Tuesday. We get up the ramp and the place is dead but a server comes out pretty quickly. I see a sign that states its kids eat free on Tuesday. I get told by the server that it only is for dinner (even though there's no mention of that on the sign). I figured, oh well, lunch menus are typically cheaper. It's fine. EXCEPT ITS NOT - it's like $25 is the average lunch option on the paper menu within the menu - the cheapest option would have been a "light green salad" for $16. On the kids menu itself, it ALSO states kids eat free with adult menu purchase of $20+. I ask the server again and she says "this is just what the owners told me." So word of advice to the owners - don't be advertising something and not holding up your end of the bargain. I don't have a "customer is always right" mentality, I have a "keep your word & don't false advertise" mentality. Pros: Food was good. Service was fine. Ambience was nice sans the bugs. Cons: obviously the price. Obviously the false advertising. Bugs were nonstop in our faces and food but we dealt. It was hot out so to be expected. Drinks were served in alcoholic beverage cups for the kiddos which was weird.

This place is great for groups. We were seated in a booth and we were greeted by our server right away. He did a great job of explaining the different options of what to order. The food was excellent! The hot bar & vegetable/salad bar were excellent! They had of bunch of different "appetizer" type options on the hot bar. However there was so much food with the KBbq that we were actually disappointed that we wasted stomach space on the hot bar (eventhough the food was good!). The hot pot was great & the broth had such great flavor. The KBbq was amazing! We really loved all the different cuts of meat for the grill! The short ribs were a fav & there's more than enough food for the table so everyone leaves more than full! It's also great that eventhough this place is busy & set up well for groups, it's not overly loud so you can still carry on a normal volume level conversation with others at your table! The menu is straightforward and easy to choose your option. The whole table has to choose the same option (BBQ or hot pot) so discussion might be helpful before the waiter arrives. Then you choose your meat and broth type and head to the never ending salad and veggie area. It has veggies, noodles, sauces, toppings and more! The waiter tells you em several times it is all you can eat, thus the higher price point. Make sure to note too though that if you order a lot more than you eat you will get charged a few for leftovers. They want to curb food waste which is commendable. I suggest starting small and then building as for sure you get full rather quickly! My favorite aspect was the sauce area where they listed sauce combos the recommend. It helped me a lot to have some guidance and I liked the sauce I chose from their list. A fun interactive experience and good for groups. It is loud and smelly as you are basically sitting inside a large kitchen. But a fun experience and yummy food so worth a visit!

The meal is accompanied by all the essentials: kimchi, seaweed salad, and a variety of pickled vegetables that complete the experience and make it feel like a proper Korean table.
