I had a delightful warming meal at Korean Garden. The environment is comforting and clean. The server was a sweet older korean lady. She was very attentive. The food was large in portions and flavorful. I had the spicy korean noodle soup. The broth was perfectly spicy and not overbearing or without a kick. The only downside was that there wasn't as much seafood as I would have liked but that is just because I am a carnivore. My boyfriend had the stirfried squid and pork and it was wonderous! The flavors were (as the kids say it now n days) on point. The pork belly was the star of the show as it really soaked in the wonderful sauce they cooked it in. My original review was 5 stars when this place was a buffet. Back then the place was almost always busy, sometimes packed. Now, they got rid of the buffet, raised prices, changed all of the employees, it might as well be a different restaurant. It's not about the buffet, it's about the quality of food and ability of the chefs. The buffet is what separated this place and made it a success. Why would they change it??? Only 2 possible reasons: 1) the owner is a dummy or 2) The chefs are inferior. The previous owner would often cook the food herself, and holy cow it was good! Now however this place is doomed. With Seoul Bistro right across the street, the far inferior Korean Garden will be gone in no time. It would be a laughing stock in LA. read more

Came in for lunch with a party of 15 and the REFUSED to serve us. They said they only have one chef and the food would come out slow. We were not in any rush to eat or had any concerns about getting our food right away, but apparently they made that decision for us. Rude, disrespectful, and would not recommend to anyone. read more

I have been going to the Korean Garden for several years. The owners change often, but the quality of food does not suffer (the service is a different story). The current staff seems to prefer for you to order from the buffet rather than the menu and that gets a little old...but the buffet is good and the items are always fresh. You get many choices that would be considered unusual to most Tulsa dwellers. I love visiting the Asian market next door after my meal. This is a great place to go every now and then. Three years ago it was my favorite, but with all the changes...it's been downgraded in my book to "decent". read more

What a treat "Korean Garden" was! Being half Korean, I am very picky on my Korean BBQ restaurants. I was in town to see a customer for lunch, who was nice enough to suggest "Korean Garden". I was blown away! We were welcomed upon entering and immediately your taste buds are going everywhere. We sat down immediately and I inquired if they had "Oi Sobagi (Cucumber Kimchi)". The gentleman said let me check in the back and he soon came out with a bowl of Oi Sobagi (Cucumber Kimchi) and said his mom had a secret place it was kept. That was amazing! I soon ordered the "Galbi" and it was the top five I have ever had in my life. This is eating in Korean Town in Los Angeles, San Fran., Seattle, NY and Dallas. They actually have the meat flown in from Korea! Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely cater my next business meeting there. I have traveled the world eating a variety of cuisines. My palette is especially drawn to Korean food for some reason. I have eaten at dozens of Korean restaurants over the last several years. I have to say that this particular location serves some of the best galbi ribs I have ever tasted. The side dishes are excellent and consistently prepared. By consistent I mean they taste good every time I go. The bulgogi is always on point and I have tried several other dishes and never been disappointed. I would highly recommend you visit this restaurant and enjoy the food. The service has always been considerate as well. My drink stays filled and they are perfectly fine with my custom food preparation request. No complaints whatsoever. I will be back many more times. read more

I have been to this restaurant three times so far. The first two times I bought my food to go, this time I sat down inside the restaurant with my friend. The food I ordered was the gimbap, mandu, and bulgogi cooked with japchae. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with explaining the items listed and giving recommendations when my friend couldn't decide what she wanted. The waitress brought us drinks and edamame to munch on while we waited. The mandu was the first item we received, it was incredibly crispy on the outside, but not oily and the filing was juicy and tender. The gimbap was as delicious as the previous times I have purchased it, each ingredient from the tender egg omelet to the fresh vegetables inside was tasty. This was the first time I have eaten their bulgogi and japchae. I have had these previously in California so I missed having them. The meat was tender and flavorful, the japchae wasn't overcooked or oily, it was savory with nicely grilled onions and carrots inside. I was so impressed and happy with my experience I wiggled in my seat. The waitress was very pleasant the entire time and consistently checked to make sure if we needed anything and not in a way I felt she was hovering. This restaurant was amazing. We got there about 4 pm on a Sunday and there were a few other tables. After checking out the buffet offerings, we opted to order off the menu. We ordered mandu (dumplings) as an appitizer, and they were crispy and flavorful. They brought out the banchan (side dishes) as well. There were 6-kimchi, some sort of pickled radish, spicy cucumber, potatoes, fish cake, and some sort of egg pancake. They were all good-I could have eaten the cucumbers and potatoes all day. The service was excellent-they kept offering to refill our drinks and banchan. For main dishes, I ordered pajeon-seafood pancake. It was DELICIOUS!!!! And I don't like seafood! My husband got the budae jjigae, which was too spicy for me but he liked it. My mother in law got the bulgogi and she liked it as well. If you are looking for good korean in Tulsa, I highly recommend this place. Can't beat good food and good service. read more

Very rare to find a Korean Rest. in Tulsa. Where I live, SF, there are plenty. This place cannot be compared to any of the Korean rest. i've experienced in SF. The only good thing about this place is the buffet they serve. I believe on weekdays buffet is about $8. On weekends its about $13. Who's the owner of this store? My first time at the restaurant with my two friends. Told us to sit in the dark. We moved to another big table since smaller tables were uncleaned. As soon as the waitress saw us sitting at the big table, she expresses madness on her face and told us to move. We asked to clean the table that is uncleaned so we can move. Other customers who were eating all looking us. I lost my appetite. If Seoul Bistro was opened today, we would not have been here at Korea Garden. It's not often busy, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming - like a family. I love going there for the chicken bulgogi, kimbap, and of course, the bibimbap. Great food! I got the stir-fried squid and a California roll and couldn't put down my chopsticks. The owners are very friendly and our waiter was super attentive. We went in as a family of four two adults and two children. I was a little worried after reading some reviews of how other families with children were supposedly treated. My son knocked over his drink with in five minutes of being there. The older lady was very accommodating and jus simply moved us to another table without batting an eye. While exploring other asian restaurants in the area for some time, I have come to the conclusion that the Koean Garden is the place for me. Why? For a few really good reasons. Upon entering the restaurant you are welcomed in a courteous friendly manner and then are allowed to sit where ever you would like. The place is clean and well kept. While you are there, you are made to feel at home. Now that I have been a few times and have tried multiple items from the extensive menu, I can say I have been extremely impressed with not only the quality of the food but also the manner of presentation. The flavors that dance on your taste buds while enjoying your order will also later make your mouth water as you remember how wonderfully delicious it was! Great Korean restaurant! The menu that someone posted up on here is deceiving because they don't have Kamjatong. They honestly didn't even know what it was which made me a little suspicious. They do have budaejigae though!!! I'd recommend getting the large of it with 2 people. It is Korean family style. The dumpling large bowl is also good. The broth isn't as good as the budaejigae but that is because I like it spicy. Mandu is good and their sides are great. Also my wife had the bibimbap, and it was great as well. They give you the red paste which is standard in Korea but not as standard in Tulsa. One thing I wouldn't recommend here is their bulgogi. I'm not a big fan of it in the first place but my mother in law doesn't like spicy dishes or being adventurous so I thought I'd get her the dish that screams I'm an American (bulgogi). It was a lot sweeter than it should have been but still as good as bulgogi usually is. Great place to go though if you crave Korean food like I do. Sorry to say though there is no Naeng Myeong or ja ja myeong but ja ja Myeong is always a stretch since it is originally Chinese I'm pretty sure. But if you want those go to Seoul bistro. read more

Unbelievably rude service.. The lady who served us was extremely rude, unpleasant and the food was unhygienic. We ordered sangyupsal and raw meat was touching the lettuce when she brought it to us. The customers that were in there were very creepy. The men were staring at our breasts non stop and looked dangerous. Food was just okay.
