Very nice little Japanese supermarket. Has everything you need to make a good meal at home. Plenty of snacks and noodles options. And of course they have premade meal like bento boxes and sushi. Premade food are from Sushi Ten nextdoor I believe. Maybe they been sitting in the cooler for too long, the quality is not as good as new orders. The fish texture was a little rubbery. Super cute market and ramen spot! Tonkatsu ramen was tasty. The market itself was a little small and I went on a Sunday around lunch time and it was super crowded. My favorite grocery store for all the Japanese essentials! They always have a great selection of bento boxes--definitely go early because the best ones sell out fast. There's also fresh sushi and sashimi available, and the staff can even cut it for you. The store itself is on the smaller side and usually pretty busy, but it's always clean and the staff are super friendly. Pro tip: grab a basket instead of a cart since the aisles can get tight on weekends. If you're driving in from out of town, you can even ask for a bag of ice to keep your cooler bag fresh. I love this market. It's very cute and has a lot food and ingredient options available that you can't find in other stores. I usually go to purchase miso paste and to try some of their prepackaged tea latte items. These past two times I tried their sushi and ate the jumbo spicy shrimp and salmon sushi to go platter. The sushi roles are huge and although pricey, the quality and amount of fish they include is worth the price. Though the roll tastes great, there's a problem. I'm not sure if it's just me, but unfortunately I got sick both times after I ate this roll. I purchased the rolls during lunch time and immediately ate them in the car. The rolls tasted fresh, so I'm not sure why I got sick. I'm wondering if I'm sensitive to one of the ingredients they use. Because I got sick twice I unfortunately will not be buying the sushi again. Best place to get great premade to go sushi I have found. It is restocked throughout the day but selection thins noticeably after 6 as they close at 8 and I don't think they restock after 6. Great futomaki. If you like sashimi you can pick out tuna, hamachi, salmon and they will slice it for you. They also have octopus, salmon roe, sometimes uni, and bonito. Quality is high and portions are better than supermarket portions and even better than a number restaurants. Great if you just want to get a super quick high quality sushi fix. read more

Couldn't find the bathroom here, unable to comment. However the market itself is pretty cool. I haven't visited Japan before but the vibe here is very different from more western markets. The staff ar elovely and environment is very celan and organized. The first aisle near the entrance housed many take-home/to-go meals like sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken/beef, yakisoba, onigiri, etc. that come at a very competitive price. This is probably one of their more popular products since it was nearly out of stock when I came in. But don't fret, you can still get your sushi next door or just keep walking through to the back of the store and you'll see a order kiosk to Sushi Ten where you can place an order and get sushi inside the supermarket, pretty dope! In terms of getting groceries there are a variety of snacks, produce, desserts, frozen meats/seafood/veggies, and fresh cuts of meats/fish. I personally went in to get some dark soy sauce and mirin and was not disappointed. The price can be a bit on the high side, and not as affordable as items from Sunrise Asian Supermarket but it's still good. Been coming here nearly once a week for years. Takes some time to get the timing right to have the broadest selection of premade food/bentos to choose from--they sell out very quickly! Sushi is always fresh. They are very adamant about quality, so discounts are sometimes added for "ugly" food or stuff from earlier in the day. They have a broad selection of groceries to choose from, including a fair number of frozen meats for hotpot/bbq. They also normally carry my favorite brand of kimchi, which I appreciate. read more

What a gem of a market in Columbus! There are fruits and veggies here that I have looked everywhere for. This is the largest Asian market in Ohio (according to their TV on the wall). The Tensuke Market offers authentic Japanese groceries and products some of which can not be found anywhere else in Ohio. Bento boxes are made daily, as well as, sushi and sui sashimi-grade fish. Good carry out sushi good nut cheap. You can have fish up by checkout sliced for sashimi. Sometimes they have trays of uni if that appeals to you. Sushi selection is pretty thin by 6:00 so don't expect to pop in just before closing and grab some fast sushi to go. Very good and compact selection of sake and various condiments as well as miso frozen noodles dumplings etc. Some Japanese veggies and fish and meat prepared for Japanese cooking. This was my second time here! I came after stopping at Belle's bread. Most times, I see the same folks hopping around in between here, Belle's, Tensuke Express, and Kung Fu Tea. I came during the day, but it was still a bit busy for a weekday! The kids must be on spring break since I saw young people with their parents. They have fresh sushi, lunch food, snacks, seafood, rice, sauces, teas, etc. All kinds of things to help you cook the best kind of Asian meal. It's a wonderful grocery store. Tensuke Market is smaller than most Asian grocery stores around Columbus, but it's definitely worth it! They specialize in mainly Japanese food, but have other countries' brands and even House made kimchi. YUM! It is attached to Sushi Ten, but you can also get sushi in Tensuke Market. It is slightly cheaper in the market because it is refrigerated so the rice is not as soft as it would be freshly made. I still buy it though! They have a wide range of sake, Japanese snacks, produce, meats, ramen, fish, and house made meals. I try to avoid the snack aisle or else I'd buy everything. Their produce is limited, but always super fresh! You can even buy slices of salmon, octopus, and other fish. Crazy! My favorite is the meals they have ready for you. It's about $7-$8, but it's really not badly priced for the fresh food they give you and it's all Japanese based meals. The employees are so kind!
