    Asian international market
    Abbie S.

First time ever shopping at CAM, and it was a lot to take in. I'm not super familiar with Asian foods and how to make them, but there was a lot of cool stuff there! I went there to get sweet potato noodles, rice paper and some sauces. I'd have to go a few more times to figure out where everything is and to try some new things! They had a lot of fresh produced as well, which was nice considering you can't find some of that produce at Kroger. Service was fine, I wasn't greeted by anyone and there was no one around to ask questions. I would go back again and find some new things to try out!

    Durian snacks. Mmm. And pee-yew.

I knew they had moved but don't get over this way often. Saw it, stopped in when I could. It's huge, and clean, and new. Smells nice, looks nice. Big selection in every area- produce, frozen food, refrigerated, dry goods, etc. There's a little cafe up front, with some prepared foods too, and a small seating area. Friendly service all around. Good prices. It's handy off the highway. Quick all around. Great selection. I'll keep it in mind; as much as I like the smaller markets this is useful and fun.

Thank you CAM for finally opening your doors! I have been waiting months since you closed your Bethel Road location to return. Mostly for some items I cannot get in the regular grocery store. I think I like this set-up more than the last location. Everything is neat and in plain site for you to see what is in each aisle. Plus I think the selection is better now. I buy specialty Asian items I cannot locate in the typical grocery store like Kroger or Meijer. Then of course I go to the European section, where I get all my Russian food for my husband. Seriously I think he cried when the Bethel Road location closed because we had to make a special trip to Cincinnati to get the European food that is sold in CAM. That is why I thank you for being open and close to home for me! So I thank you once again and you know I'll be here more often! Cannot disappoint my husband with both Asian and European food selection now available on the west side of Columbus in Hilliard.

Back for a visit after not visiting for a while, always a fresh selection of produce. Found Dong Gua (winter melon), the reason why I drove here - after striking out at two other Asian groceries closer to home. As far as markets go, CAM is one of the cleanest and well organized along with more than adequate SKU coverage from all parts of Asia. My only sadness is their meat/seafood selection is lacking compared to other groceries like Saraga, Sunrise and Park2Shop; and was hoping their Asian delicatessen would have been kick started by now. One of my favorite features when they were on Bethel Rd.

A lot of great Asian stuff. Not much Indonesian or Korean. Lots of Chinese, Japanese foods. Produce and frozen as well as cooking wares. Asian deli too w basic dishes and bubble tea. Decent prices. Lots of parking. Large grocery store size, smaller than Saraga though.

    Huge selection!

This place is well worth the stop just to look around if nothing else. The store is huge and well stocked with just about anything you could dream of. We had a bit of an issue in finding a certain item that we were looking for but the staff made sure to get someone right away to help us. Make sure you check out the seafood section and take a look at their live fish tank. Easy access from the freeway and a huge location make this a great place to shop.

The new Hilliard location of CAM is, as it turns out, exactly like their former location on Bethel Road, other than the location change. And I mean EXACTLY... if you walk into the new CAM, you'll be struck by deja vu. It's literally the same layout, the same stuff, the same paint scheme, and the same size. Kind of uncanny, really. It's nice to have CAM back. We're pretty spoiled for Asian groceries in Columbus, but CAM leads in having the widest variety of produce, and the produce has gotten increasingly fresh over the years. With CAM you won't generally discover that your bag of greens has wilted stuff hidden in the center (a sin often encountered at the now closed Crestview Market), and the fresh lychee really tastes like lychee (Saraga has been guilty of importing really bland lychee). Despite the moniker of International Market, CAM leans pretty heavily towards Chinese cooking; if you're looking for other Asian groceries, I suggest Arirang (Korean), Tensuke (Japanese), Westgate Thai (Thai) or Luc's (Vietnamese). But if you're looking for Chinese ingredients, CAM is probably still the best in town.

Finally got to check out the new location today: it's a cleaner, bigger, and more organized version of the old one. Most Asian markets are notorious for looking, feeling, and smelling dirty, but this one is one of the cleanest Asian markets I've been in recently...I hope it stays that way! Every aisle is organized in a logical way: produce, sauces/seasonings, snacks, drinks, refrigerated items, frozen food items, and even freshly baked items. There's even a whole aisle dedicated to ramen...yaaaaassss!!! Lastly, this location has a ready-made food area with several takeout options. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit to find unique items that are not found in typical grocery stores!

Yelp needs to merge this page with the Columbus Asian Market page; I originally created a "CAM International Market' page soon after CAM reopened since that's the actual name, but Yelp merged it with the misnamed "Columbus Asian Market." Now they've allowed a new "CAM International Market" page for some inexplicable reason. **heavy eyerolling** Anyway, CAM is back after a year+ hiatus, and it's bigger and still terrific. Much more room in the supermarket, not that the Bethel location was particularly cramped. There's a slightly bigger selection now with the new space, but the real benefits are for the meat/seafood section and the "Foodie Bowl" cafe. The Foodie Bowl carries over the crepe/boba drinks from the old Bethel store, but now adds the option of making made-to-order noodle and rice dishes. Speaking for the noodles--having got the beef noodle soup and the tonkotsu ramen--they're pretty mediocre. The biggest issue is that the broth is always reheated but not at a high temp, so when you eat it it's already lukewarm. The broth also seems to be a little watered down. Plus, there's enough dishes that the people behind the counter don't always remember the recipe; they had to do my ramen again because they didn't put some of the ingredients in the first time. The ramen itself is really an Chinese take on ramen that is different from the picture they show: the bamboo shoots and seaweed are both Chinese- rather than Japanese-style; a fried egg instead of an ajitama semi-soft-boiled egg; and chopped up roast pork rather than sliced pork chashu. It's $7.50, so it's cheap, and as long as you set your expectations by the price you're fine. So overall: 5 stars for the market, 3 stars for the Foodie Bowl.

Stopped in the new location on our way out of town for staples we have needed for quite some time. I will say this location is really large and clean however they still need to "get on their feet" There were many items that were not out but a sign stating what should be on the shelf, items with no description or price and the produce looked limp and wilted like it needed watered. I will return again and hopefully they have worked out all the kinks.

This place grew over time. Nice place. Reasonable prices. Friendly people. It's definitely the Asian market for that area.

Ask the Community - CAM International Market

Sadly a year back we whant to a taco place who didn't serve us because of our race (Caucasian) and was wanting to know if this happens at this place?

The staff is really nice here. There may be an idiomatic language barrier at times (depending on which staff member you speak with), but overall they are willing to have anyone shop that is equally polite and courteous.
