Great pizzas and great wine selection - you can't ask for more. We got the fig and prosciutto pizza with a started of bread and olive oil (YES we were carb loading judge us). Both were fantastic. They let us try a couple different wines in our preferences, and we each found new favorites.

We try to come down to the Georgetown Square anytime we can make time for it. Kork is slightly off the square but it's got a great inside and a decent patio. The wine list is extensive, there's just enough food to add a little flavor to an evening, and it's easy to get to, and from the rest of the square and the hustle and bustle of the square traffic. Kork has what's probably the best wine list on the Square. Lots of choice and variety including flights so you can sample several different grapes at once. It's easy for an evening out and a great place to avoid the crowds.

So convenient, so classy, so good. Have a glass of wine before a gathering, or an appetizer before dinner. How about a pizza and a beer or wine, or a drink after dinner to close the night. This place has a little bit of everything for a nice date night. It's actually so nice to be at this place, you just don't want to leave. Oh and by the way, for those who care for clean and private restrooms, this is your place. I love their ricotta and honey appetizer, it's just delicious. I've tried the pizza and it's awesome! At the bar or at a table, the service is formidable. One of those places you want to stop by before, during, or at the end of your visit to the square for sure.

I am so feckin glad we stopped at this fabulous little place! We had a difficult go of it trying to find a place shielded from the cold breeze where we could sit with my dog. Kork's outdoor seating was protected from the wind and they had powerful heaters that they were more than happy to turn on for us. Christopher was our waiter and he was by far one of the best ones we've ever had. EVER! We bonded on where we all previously lived among other things but even without that, he was fantastic; so knowledgeable and so fun. I love the tasting sizes so you can sample a few before deciding on a full glass, which I did with the Sancerre because it's just so phenomenally delicious. Paired with the Funghi and Brie pizza, it was orgasmic. Christopher sold us on the pizza and I'm so glad he did. It was absolutely scrumptious and very light! Delightfully un-American. We snacked on the heavenly popcorn too. Totally took our time, fully enjoying every bite, sip and bit of conversation. When I went inside to use the loo, I saw how cosy and adorable it was and immediately was already looking forward to going back. Bonus points on the loo rooms by the way - gender neutral! Thank you for a marvelous time, Kork. We'll be back!

Beautiful environment. Plenty of space to spread out. It lives up to it's promise of being vino-centric for sure. Great and varying wine list. Good list of things to nauch on as well. I'm the crowded parking areas around the square, it seems there's always a sweet spot on Church Street between square and tax office for parking. Never had to park far yet.

Nice wine bar with appetizers and pizzas. The hostess was very sweet and welcoming when we arrived. They have high and low table seating. The salads are massive and the pizzas can definitely be shared by two people. Nice place for a glass of wine and some snacks. :)

Always reliable with great bites and wine on the Square. The honey ricotta appetizer is amazingly good and the charcuterie board is a lovely pairing with a glass of wine. If the weather is nice, try sitting outside. Service is knowledgeable about the menu and wine offerings. We've never had a problem getting a table. If you're looking for a spot to sit down on the Square and enjoy some lovely food and wine, Kork is a great option. Cheers!

Great selection of wine with beautiful indoor and outdoor space. We stumbled upon this place while walking the square on a beautiful day. They give you wine in a plastic cup to enjoy outside and to walk the square if that is your preference. We didn't try the menu this time but will be back for it. Charcuterie, neopolitan pizza, salad and desserts are offered. Service was good too. It's located right off the square behind Sweet Lemon kitchen.

Caesar salad, they nicely split a single for two.

I have always loved this place for it's food. The margherita pizza is done perfectly at least for us, no tomato slices to make it soggy, just the right amount of sauce on top, plus the dough is chewy and not crispy for how thin it is. They also kindly split a single caesar salad into two portions and I thought it was two separate orders until we had received the check. They also have a great selection of wine, we ordered 4x glasses and enjoyed each of them.

Tonight my husband surprised me with an anniversary dinner from Kork Wine Bar and it was phenomenal! We had cheese, meat, olives, veggies, hummus, cheesy bread, caprese salad and wine. The owner delivered the food to our car (curbside only because of the Pandemic) and he was super kind. They just opened up before everything had to shut down. If you want to support local right now and have a special night with good food and wine, check them out. We cannot wait to visit their location once everything opens up again. read more

What a gem of a place! Josh the manager came over at the end of our visit to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. We shared the dry Rose Gold rose along with the ricotta with honey, dried figs and rosemary which you can find on their small plates. So simple but yet so delicious. Put this on your list of places to check out!! read more

Owners policy is to not allow a sample before committing to an overpriced pour by a 23 year old Som. I'm guessing it's because of the unremarkable bland selection. I'd probably stay longer and drink more glasses of wine if a tiny sample was made available. There are way better options just a block away and way nicer staff. The guy who greeted me at the bar just came off a bender the night before and the "Som" bartender made excuses for his piss poor attitude and energy. With staff all under 30 maybe you should have invested in a college bar. Your pizza is great though!! read more

We had not been to Kork for over a year because we felt like some of the previous staff was a little too pretentious. We decided to pop in on a whim and are so glad we did. There is a new manager that is always the kindest and most welcoming person. The staff were all excellent. The wine selection is fantastic. We've only had great experiences in this wine BAR meant for adults to enjoy! The ambience, food, delicious Italian wines, beautiful glassware & service with a smile..what's not to like? It's such a great place for adults to gather, sip wine and relax..whether on the patio with your pooch, or inside in the A/C keeping cool. One of our favorites is the strawberry white chocolate pizza! The fresh handmade pizzas are brick oven cooked to perfection. Last night I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had in Georgetown, Texas. I entered the wine bar 40 minutes before their closing time. I ordered a glass of wine and desert. It was very clear the bartender was not happy that I came in. Their were few people in the wine bar. She asked me if I wanted my order to go. Even though I said no, She still brought everything out in plastic and let me know Georgetown allowed me to walk and drink on the Square. I ordered the Malbec and Chocolate Gelato which tasted less appealing than the Blue Bell Ice cream that I buy. The wine was nice, aside from the feeling that I needed to gulp it down so the bartender could get all her side work done in order to leave early. Very disappointing experience. I still tipped her, she definitely deserve it. read more

Came in today and waited for 20 minutes. Servers ignored us basically. Lost patience and left. Bummer but the service is lacking here. I wanted to add the waitstaff seemed in general to hate their jobs. You know when you go somewhere and the staff just kinds of mopes around like they hate their job? That's the vibe I got. It was a Sunday afternoon I didn't want to spend it being aggravated with someone who obviously didn't want to be there. So I quietly left. I didn't complain or make a scene, I just grabbed my stuff and left. Don't recommend. read more

A legitimate wine program with great selections at many different price points. So happy to see Scarecrow on the menu! Lots of attention to detail such as polishing wine glass. I went here for the first time a week ago and have already been back! The atmosphere is amazing! The waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable, and doesn't rush you. The wine selection is amazing! And the food is so much better than I thought!! I have tried 2 of their different pizzas. The charcuterie boards are well worth the price! And if you go home without trying the gelato you have to go back! It is incredible! Go here with your friends and enjoy! read more

We love Kork Wine Bar for both the wine and beer selection but also the wonderful food. It's located in a great spot off the Georgetown square and has tables inside or out. We've sat at the bar and at a table. Our service as been excellent each visit. We've had the pepperoni pizza and charcuterie board. We have been pleased with our choices and can't wait to go back! This place is SUCH a cool date spot! Or just for dinner! Their wine list is long...like 7 pages long. If you are a wine snob then this place will definitely have something for you. If you are not a wine snob then this place will also definitely have something for you. :-) There is also some local beers on tap at the bar and they have some bubbles options too! The service here is great and they do have sommelier's that can help you with your selections, and not every bottle is going to break the bank. The build-your-own charcuterie board is awesome, but keep in mind it is more expensive. But we prefer to pick the things we like, you will have options that are *not* on the regular one, so there's that. The pizzas are delicious, they are more individual sized, so keep that in mind. Tuesday night's they have a special on wine, so if you wanna go somewhere nice on a Tuesday night in Georgetown, this is a good pick. But it would be a good pick on ANY night! read more

My boyfriend and I went here for a night out and they were amazing. With the wine recommendations, the food, and don't get me started on the s'mores pizza for dessert. The best part of the night though was the amazing service. Eddy was our waiter and he recommended the best wines and was so easy to talk to and just hands down amazing. He really made our first date night since having our daughter amazing. 10/10 and ask to be in eddys section! read more

Great wine selection - there are some unexpected gems here. The sommeliers are constantly upgrading their list. Pizzas are done very well. Even down to the perfect center. It is dog-friendly, especially well-behaved dogs. The service is top-notch. These servers are zipping along the entire time and you will be checked on very often. Oh - the cannolis... Yes, have one. And take one home for tomorrow. I don't need 10,000 words to say this place is worth the time. read more

Last night my wife and I decided to check out Kork Wine Bar for the first time. We understood that only curb-delivery was available, so our expectations were lowered. The surprises began immediately when our order was right on time and delivered to our car by the owner. The photos of the inside show a warm comfortable place. If the owners' can create the same service inside as at the curb they are off to a great start. We unpacked our order consisting of a Spinach Salad, an Italian Salad, and a Pepperoni Pizza. We re-heated the Pizza according to the instructions provided and dined at home. The salads were large, clean and crispy, and full of flavor. The Pizza was perfect for the two of us. Great crust, excellent red sauce and just enough cheese and Pepperoni. Delicious!!! I often judge restaurant food based on a feast for the eyes; perfection on the palate; and a fond memory of the food, with no other effects an hour later. Thank you Kork Wine Bar you deserve every star. And thank you for coming to Georgetown. read more

This is a wonderful establishment! The interior is open, airy and very comfortable. The food (pizza) was delicious and what a great crust! I had a glass of a red wine and it was heavenly. The owners are some of the best people you'd ever meet. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! I was SO impressed with Kork Wine Bar! The assortment of cheese, meats, and their fig chutney was amazing. We ordered two charcuterie boards, and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. So sad this place was so promising but it took forever to get drinks and about 50 mins in we ended up canceling our food order. The disappointing thing was when we told our waitress she said "ok" and walked away. It would have went along way if she would have acknowledged the wait. read more

This place was amazing!! I was greeted by a host holding a menu immediately. We ate out side with our dog and another staff member brought us a treat from a local pet store. We had the meat and cheese board and wine. Very good. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are happy to share their enthusiasm for wine without any pretentious extras. Very clean. Food is great New pizzas on the menu are delicious! S'mores pizza is the perfect end to a meal. Would definitely recommend for casual evening out with friends or as a date night location. read more

My husband and I have been coming here on and off for the past few months. The wine selection (as you can see from other reviews as well) is untouchable! The atmosphere is so calm and comfortable. The service was always mediocre but wasn't necessarily a big issue. However, my last visit, is what prompted this review, since the service has finally made it worth bragging about. I would definitely recommend this place! I'm not sure what changed, but keep it up! read more

Seriously ... our favorite place on the square. The wine selection is great (our fav is Round Pond Kith & Kin Cabernet Sauvignon). The service is best of the best. The food...wow! The charcuterie board...to die for. The pizza ... the best I've ever had. The spinach salad...you HAVE to try. Give it a try. They will not disappoint. read more

The ambience inside is beautiful and inviting, and I almost always end up finding something extra to buy in the attached shop. It makes the whole experience feel even more fun and curated. The staff is consistently kind, and the food is always right on point. It is such a great place to grab a snack and a drink while catching up with friends. The backyard space is lovely as well, but during the Texas summer heat, sitting inside in the air conditioning is definitely the move. Highly recommend for a relaxed, elevated afternoon near the Square.

The second time we tried to come, we tried coming on a Sunday again. We called a day before so we could double check if they would be open. They told us on the phone that they would be open. Their hours on Sundays are from 10am-2pm. We show up around 12:30pm, but they were closed again even though their sign said they close at 2pm on Sundays. Needless to say this will be the last time we try to come here.

We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). We listened to the 3 person band, who sang music from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley and so many different genres in between. What a lovely evening...date night score!

This is a very scenic and modern upscale restaurant near the heart of downtown Georgetown. The interior is nicely appointed and understatedly elegant. The inside and outside restaurant and bar areas are expansive but easily outstrip the provided parking. There is also street parking nearby, but don't be surprised if you wind up walking from nearby public lots or garages. I can easily see this place being packed. We had a reservation and were promptly seated and offered water service. As with most Mexican restaurants, there's an expansive menu, so we ordered drinks while we perused the menu. I found the Encantada margarita to be quite tasty, but it was a bit expensive. At $11 for a single serving with house liquors, closer to what we've come to expect locally for a Mexican martini (theirs was $18 with house, $24 with call). That's a bit over-the-top IMHO. We were offered complimentary chips and salsa; I remember the chips to be excellent, and the red salsa just right for my taste, but others remarked that it was too spicy. Our waitress (Paulina) joked that the only thing less spicy was their ketchup. They also have a green salsa, which is even spicier, but that we all skipped. The food menu has a lot of chef-inspired offerings. I tried the Grilled Chicken Tacos (Grilled Chicken, Cilantro, Onion, Fresco Cheese) at $16. I had one on flour and one on corn to taste the difference in tortillas with the same ingredients, along with a side bowl of black beans. I found them flavorful but also on the small side for the price. Additional tacos are $5 each. No rice was offered. This was one of their least expensive plates. We had a great time and our drink and food service was nothing less than excellent, but I couldn't help but come away feeling that, for a check that tabbed in just under $100 (with tip) we should have had a fuller tummy. Would we come back? Maybe. We'll have to explore their other options and perhaps graze more off the appetizer menu; however, less than $5 separate most of their appetizers from their plate dinners. This is a place to go for a culinary and visual experience, not an everyday meal.
