Glad to see this part of Georgetown getting more local places. It's been badly needed! Lots of good beers on tap, more in bottles and cans, and some limited canned cocktail options. Ample bar space, tables, tv's for sports and weeknight events like trivia Wednesdays. Bahler St. Pizza in the back if you need food.

Tried out this new place tonight! Loved it. Enjoyed a Blackberry Mead & my husband had a couple of beers. Loved the drinks. We also shared the Major Winters pizza. Pizza had brisket and some BBQ sauce and was amazing. Service was friendly & good. Looking forward to becoming a regular!

What a cool spot! Brand new, first day open! I tried the Fur Missile (blonde ale), Ide Di Marzo Montepulciano, Bourbon & Coke, and the Blackberry Mead. The blonde was my least favorite tbh as it was pretty bitter imo. I really liked the blackberry Mead and wine, though idk if I'd really consider that mead, especially at 5%; it seemed more like a cider. The bourbon and coke was really surprising as it didn't have bourbon in it, but rather a bourbon alternative made from an agave wine and surprisingly tasted very similar to a bourbon and coke. Definitely give this place a try and grab some amazing pizzas inside from Bahler Street Pizza while you're at it; you won't regret it.

Inside - bar area. Lots of TVs!

We arrived early on a Sunday morning and there was only 1 table left right next to the host stand (ew). The host was quick to offer a small wait for an upstairs table at more servers would be on soon and it would open up more tables. We opted to wait the 20mins or so and we're so glad we did! The upstairs really is the best space. Our server was top notch and he put up with our requests and banter with a smile. I requested a carafe of coffee as my friend and I can really go through coffee... he obliged my request! Like I said, top notch. For came out quickly and beautiful plated! I ordered the shrimps and grit cake and yaasssssss!! I was worried it would be dry but it was fabulous! I usually feel guilty eating shrimp and grits but this was so good and filling and not at all greasy! Friend ordered a basket of waffles to share. OMG GET THEM! They have a fantastic texture with a little bit of sugar crusted on them. Very surprising and now a necessity when we visit.

Clearly, not at all, because the place was packed. Either at capacity or about to go over. We secured a little standing spot at the bar and enjoyed our little brews. As we looked up at the TV, the original Leprechaun movie was playing. The staff were very friendly and moving around at the speed of light to get everyone their green dyed beers. There was over an hour wait for food due to how obviously busy a bar is on International Wear Green and Drink Beer Day, which didn't concern us because we had already eaten. For everyone else, sucks to be them. Our Guinnesses were good, and I really have no complaints. The location is quite narrow, but they make the most of it. There is a ton of beers to choose from, but I only had the Guinness because, well, celebrating a commercialization of Irish culture. Overall it does seem like a cool little spot and I could see myself coming back for a beer in the future. The Leprechaun movie was lit too. I'M SO GREEN RIYL: Brass on tap? idk

I went to the bar and ordered (no wait staff at the tables). I ordered the Fish-n-Chips w/ a Pearl Snap, my date had the Biggy BBQ Mac Burger with a Dragon Fruit Daiquiri. For the positives: our drinks were very good, hard to mess up a draught beer, but it was not flat & just cold enough. She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better. Overall I would not recommend and I will not be going back but in a pinch it won't make you sick.

Unfortunately, we missed meeting up however my friend and I did get to check out the venue, listen to a couple of the bands and try a light dinner. The bands that we heard were Lew Apollo and Brother Thunder. The ambiance was great - the place is open to the sky and the benefit of great weather made it a fantastic day to be there. At our arrival, the crowd was minimal. We were able to sit near the stage and enjoy the music vibes. After reviewing the menu, we went to the bar to place the order. I decided to go with 2 chili dogs, and my friend ordered the steak sliders with waffle fries. They give you a number and when the board lights up with your number, then you go to the pick-up window to get your food. There was maybe a 10-12-minute wait. I thought that prices were very reasonable and the taste was good enough. We learned that the Rustic Tap is an LSU bar and they host a lot of the game watches. We used a rideshare, so I don't know how convenient or easy parking is in this area. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would consider coming back for future events.
