Kosher Bagel Hole is simply the best bagel store in the Midwood / Flatbush area. Their breakfast specials are really good and the best part is that they are not cheap. They have always given me a very good amount of food whether I order from the specials menu or not. The food is always fresh, the workers are fast and always remember what I order. Not that I expect any store I walk into to remember anything about me but It really is a plus since I actually do eat by them every day I go to work. This shows that the workers do make an effort to remember people's orders and which customer doesn't like that? The store has many more things besides bagels such as salads, wraps, blintzes etc and of course they do not let you down on the coffee. They have different options to choose from like French vanilla, hazelnut, decaf and also dairy and non dairy creamers.

The bowl was packed with flavor and made with some of the best, freshest ingredients. And the mac & cheese? Creamy, delicious, and completely vegan. It lacked absolutely nothing except, you know, the animal products.

A strong 9.5/10, and I don't hand those out casually. The peanut butter cauliflower was a close second--absolutely delicious, just a little pricey for the portion. The lasagna was a solid 8/10. Flavorful and hefty despite its lighter ingredients. Unless you're skipping appetizers, prepare for leftovers. Fair warning: it's saucy and doesn't travel particularly well. I also noticed an aftertaste I couldn't quite identify, but nothing that ruined the dish. The mac and cheese? A 6/10 for me. The flavor fell flat, though my dinner companions thought it was decent for vegan food. They also loved their burger and the gorgeous steak-style sandwich with chimichurri and avocado. The sandwich looked delicious, but the portion didn't quite justify the price for me. Now, the sorrel cocktail? A 9/10. Easily. What would make it a 10? A bit more alcohol. I couldn't really taste any. It gave mocktail. My girls did enjoy their wine, though! Service was very warm and friendly, although the packed crowd meant extended waits once we placed our orders. The space is beautiful, cozy, and elevated, but cramped in many areas. Between counter ordering and table service, expect people moving around you. Some patrons could use a gentle reminder that their behinds are not a complimentary side dish. The aesthetics are beautiful, the bathroom was cute and clean, and there's a small outdoor patio out front. They even had a DJ bringing block-party energy during our visit! I could easily see myself returning for breakfast, brunch, or a little café workday. What I love most, though, is the community-centered spirit and how the owners' partnership and love story are woven into the space. My final word: I judge vegan food by the same standards as everything else. No participation trophies just because it's plant-based. My ultimate test? Would I order it again, and would I return to the restaurant? Aunts et Uncles didn't need a vegan consolation prize or watered-down standards. Some dishes could use tweaking, and the portions don't always match the prices, but the standouts absolutely hold their own against non-vegan food. I'm already plotting my return. That loaded potato and I have unfinished business.

I ordered an avocado bagel on seven grain. It was all delicious. There was lettuce and cucumber that was not listed on the menu, but that's ok. The whole thing had a lemony flavor that normally I don't like, but it went well with the other flavors. The egg was over medium, which they didn't ask me how I wanted, but I'm sure they'd change it if you asked. They were very responsive, polite, and quick.

The setup is a little different from a full-service restaurant. You order at the counter, let the staff know if you're dining in or getting your order to go. If dining in, then find a table and wait for your name to be called. If you're seated farther away, they'll usually bring your food to you. For drinks, it's best to stay near the baristas towards the front of the store since those are typically called out separately. I ordered the Madeline omelette without the jalapeños. It was good overall but it could have used a little more salt. I also tried the matcha latte (which tasted a bit too milky) and I had to add extra sweetener, so I'd probably try a different drink next time. The pastries, especially the apple strudel and Boston cream donut, were both really good. Highly recommend the apple strudel.
