I want to shoutout the service at this place! We came in on a Sunday brunch with our dog since we saw outdoor seating in the photos - however upon arriving, we were told they only do outdoor seating on Saturdays starting in September (?) Bummer because we were excited for this place and came a long way for it. We then ordered a couple things to go and while waiting outside, the owner comes out with a table and allowed us to dine outdoors. They even brought out a bowl of water for our dog! A wonderful gesture and I don't know how often they do this but we really appreciated it. The tortilla soup was so amazing - they nailed both the savory and sourness of it and even the soggy tortillas in the soup were really good! I had the steak breakfast burrito which was incredibly filling and the chorizo and avocado eggs Benedict were fantastic! We don't come down to Park Slope that much but I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for specifically a Mexican brunch spot! read more

We were so excited to try this spot bc what's better than a diner? A Mexican diner!!!! The food blew me away honestly. I don't love chorizo that much but I got the chorizo Benedict and this is definitely the best chorizo I've ever had. The tortilla soup was also so good. The flavor was perfect--perfect balance of spicy, savory, and sour. I got the greenwood smoothie and it was very refreshing. This is a family owned business and we really felt taken care of here. Let me just start by saying this is the best mole I have had in a long time -- perhaps ever. Sublime! After telling the waiter how much I enjoyed it told me that the chef brings it up from Puebla every couple weeks. Clearly it shows. We also had the Terrace salad as well as chips and salsa. However, the enchiladas de mole poblano were the best -- the reason why I hope to bring other friends back to try. The restaurant itself was a fun place to come with friends, and we could see a number of people there on a Friday night enjoying themselves. Wow went for brunch and it was so good. The prices are fair and the portion you get is actually pretty worthwhile. Waitress was super friendly and everybody was attentive, filling water, cleaning empty plates, etc. the restaurant itself is very spacious which is a big contrast of the neighborhood which I appreciate as it can be overwhelming to have to sit literally on top of another customer. I've never actually been to the restaurant in person, but I've ordered delivery a few times. They have some of the most delicious, filling, and affordable Mexican breakfasts here- my go to is the Pier #3 breakfast burrito, which comes with eggs, rice, beans, jalapeños, onions, and tomatoes. I've gotten the huevos a la Mexicana before as well, which is also delicious. For a drink, I usually end up getting the unsweetened iced tea with lemon. I've also had their lemonade, which they make on-site- you can definitely taste the difference, since it's so much better than powdered lemonade or those from a bottle. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're around and looking for some good food! One day, I'll go visit in person, but I am happy delivery is an option. read more

I can't get enough of this place. My family and I came here twice within 2 weeks. You know what to expect; the amazing food, the delicious drinks, the fantastic quick service is always consistent. We love their food, although they have an extensive menu, we now have our favorites! I love the Windsor Benedict, it's so delectable. The crab cake as the base is the best, it's so flavorful and gives this dish the best textures. I really like this paired with their home fries vs. their hash brown patties. Their Huevos Rancheros is one of the best. My niece devours it every time. The Disco fries are a great appetizer to share. Crispy fries loaded with cheese and gravy really hits the spot. They're so good! The classic nachos is everything you would want in a plate of nachos. It's a great portion for a meal and super delicious. The Cantarrito has become one of our favorite tequila drinks here. It's refreshing and a very well balanced cocktail. I really like their Michelada too, it was perfectly made with the perfect spice and flavors. This has become a family go to for brunch, we really love coming here. The vibe is lively and it's such a fun environment, they're always playing good music. It's moody with fun neon lights. It gets busy, but we've never had to wait for a table. We made a small trek down to Terrace the other day and the tldr is that this is a good place overall. It's a diner with a Mexican food theme. We went there for Sunday brunch and it was pretty good. One of us did most of the breakfast-type foods and the other did more Mexican stuff. More on that in a second. First of all, one thing I noticed is that when we sat down at what, 12pm, inside the decor of this place made it feel like it was a vibing evening. I think they're definitely going for that party atmosphere and had done an amazing job at giving the place that look and feel. I dodged that and didn't order tequila shots, even though they gave us cocktail menus and all. I can't think of another place that has this effect. So interesting. So the breakfast-y foods. The walnut topped waffle was good. They just give you the pre-packaged syrup, but anyway, overall it was tasty. I also did a toasted bagel with plain cream cheese and I wouldn't say it was a NY bagel. More of just a normal bagel that I might get in a diner, even in Chicago. So that was kind of meh. Lastly, I ordered hash-browns, extra crispy, and they brought out 3 McDonald's style potato patties. Quite greasy and all. You know it's interesting, when I was a kid, I used to think THAT is what a hash brown is, but over the years and having better breakfast experiences, I know different. All that being said, the cheese enchiladas were not so great. The cheese didn't have that melty gooey goodness. I'm not a fan of the verde sauce, although that is what was ordered at our table. That's about on that. Oh, the side of rice and beans was OK. Of course, the menu at this place is massive and you can order almost anything under the sun. I'm sure there are a TON of awesome things to have here. Today, I think the waffle was the only thing that impressed and the rest just happened to be fine. Our friends took us here after a night out for brunch and I was blown away. Seemed like a unique spot but wow. The menu was awesome and the food was off the charts I will never , ever forget the way they served my muffin to me. Sounds silly but they cut it in half and grilled it on each side with butter ..... I've never thought to do that and it actually changed my life haha. SO SO GOOD and yummy My croissant sandwich was delicious. I finished the entire thing. It had black beans and egg and chorizo and more and it was heaven for me. My fiance loved his meal too, he got a breakfast burrito - but my order was 1000000x better. Hands down. Online delivery is always ridiculously fast and the order is consistently correct. In person, this restaurant knows what they are doing. All the severs are accommodating and prompt, and they never make us feel bad for annoying modifications. Even on busy weekends the staff is quick to get you a table. The food quality is definitely much better than diner food. Portion sizes are just right and prices are fair for the area. If this place ever goes out of business, I'm leaving Park Slope. read more

Me and my friends decided to come here for a quick bite for our girls night. We ran across it as we are strolling down Franklin Avenue. I will say the establishment was really unique in itself. It was like almost similar to a diner. The service in there was great our waitress was extremely nice and friendly. We decided to get a margarita to which did not disappoint. Come here all the time. Food is reliably good but what sets it apart is the service. Andres, the owner, cares deeply about quality and focuses a lot of his efforts on training his staff. They are almost military in their precision - they are easy to get a hold of and bring what is requested quickly. Sometimes I think I go there just to soak in an environment of competence. Just to mention it - this is one restaurant that was unfortunately negatively affected by the city's new regulations on dining sheds. Its shed had been just a joy - it was clean, freshly painted every season, cheery, festive, and made you feel like you were walking through a colorful small town in Mexico. It made this neighborhood. It is a true shame that the city is punishing entire communities by ripping out these cultural sites (obviously talking the well-maintained ones here). read more

We came here for a family brunch. It was myself, my husband, and his family (parents & siblings & any sibling significant others). They were coming into the city for something, which I don't remember...oh wait. They were dropping stuff off fro out wedding. My husband got a wrap, my brother-in-law got a sandwich, his boyfriend got pancakes, my father-in-law got an omelet, my mother-in-law got a burger, my sister-in-law and I split an eggs benedict (which I don't have a picture of). Wish i could give this place more than 5 stars!!! Best breakfast I've had in ages. The food is incredible - we loved the chorizo and avocado Benedict, the blueberry pancakes and the bagel platter. The kids waffle combo was a huge hit with our toddler son. But the real standout here is the service. Several places have come and gone in the spot now occupied by Terrace. I can't say I miss any of them. Now, with Terrace, I can say I would. The neighborhood has needed a diner in the vicinity and they are filling the void nicely. The "regular" diner breakfast food is really good (I love a hash brown that is solid and crispy) but their Mexican diner menu has me coming back weekly. My personal favorite is the chilaquiles (with salsa rioja) but their huevos rancheros or huevos Mexicana are both stellar choices that go down nicely with a piña colada. read more

I found my new breakfast nook! Their menu is so extensive--you can get everything from grilled cheese to huevos rancheros to waffles! Definitely trying to eat my way through their menu. Their outdoor dining is really cute and cozy, and the interior has major diner vibes. Super cute. So far, I've gotten the burrito bowl and the California omelette. Both dishes were fantastic. The first time I dined here, I had been craving Chipotle for some reason, so of course I had to try their burrito bowl. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. It was so robust and the ingredients were extremely fresh. The bowl was so filling but I literally couldn't stop myself from consuming the entire thing in one sitting. The California omelette was also fantastic! So many fresh ingredients just blending together in a magical way. I got the beans as my side, and they were super yummy as well. ZERO STARS. My first time eating here yesterday, and I got food poisoning. I ordered the chipotle fried fish sandwich, and got so sick that night when I got home. I threw up twice on my bed, in my hallway, the couch, on my toilet, and had the worst diarrhea. This morning I had to rush to the hospital, because I couldn't even keep down water. On top of all this, I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I stayed up crying all night, because I was afraid of how this would affect my unborn child, which thankfully, was okay. Came here for breakfast. They have an extensive menu, it's hard to pick what you want to eat! It's in a trendy area right on 5th avenue. The prices are pretty outrageous to me! The breakfast was filling but I couldn't believe how much everything was. I think all of the breakfast items should come with a juice, tea, or coffee, especially for the price point of all the breakfast items. Only certain breakfast items come with that and those breakfast items are very carby. I had the healthy croissant and my husband had the terrace wrap with home fries and sausage links. The sausage links you see in the picture were $6.25 and they were cut in half! Home fries were an additional $3.75! Inflation sucks! Inside was a nice ambience with a true diner feel. read more
