Had a Hispanic employee recommend her stylist to me, so I booked a hair color appointment. I guess Cindy didn't feel like working that day as she didn't show up for my afternoon appointment! No apologies were made by the salon, nor did the receptionist try to contact Cindy. As a "gringa" from out of state, I felt totally unwelcomed, but maybe I am just being overly sensitive. When I went, their water heater was broken so my feet were soaked in freezing water for a pedi. Also, the girl that did my toes was not experienced at all. I was really nervous when I came her today with my friend. We did not have an appointment and can an hour before closing time. The place was crowded and after signing in I was completely lost. They did not instruct me where to go or sit because of how packed it was. I stood next to my friend who was already being taken care of which was quick considering we just walked in. 10 minutes pass and the only thing I was asked was what I was in for. Finally they get the water started for my pedicure and manicure. I went with the basic shellac for both mani and pedi. I absolutely love them. The lady even had great suggestions since I was being indecisive about the color. I've had shellac done before and this was by far the best experience I've had. Usually the heat is really hot and I feel like I would burn myself but these machines were great. After the shellac dried, the lady would make sure the edges weren't stuck together and would refile and polish the edges. The only downside is I wish they would've listed the price somewhere so I knew how much I would be spending. Honestly $70 is a lot but I wish I knew how much it was for each treatment. read more

I've gotten my hair cut twice, by different stylists, and loooooved both! The only issue I have is the smell of the nail salon, it just gives me a headache. Aside from that, it's a great place if you want the full works. I'm not big on my nails getting done, and the smell alone will probably keep me away...but if that's not an issue for you, try them out!! read more

I wanted to love this place--the woman that did my nails was sooo very sweet (wish I could remember her name). But they're kind of crappy... Both toe nail polish and shellac came off in a few days...uhhh usually toe nail polish lasts much longer and shellac should . Also, what really pissed me off is BOTH restroom doors are teeny tiny, definitely not handicap accessible and the manager that showed them to me just walked off when I told her that I could not use them. read more

Still no issues. Each technician I have encountered have been absolutely wonderful Hair- Christopher is just fabulous! I love the work he did w/ my extensions and the cut he gave me.. Perfect Nails- Joanne was nice...quiet, but that isn't a big deal to me because my nails are great Eyelashes- Felicia Still does my eyelashes and she does them perfect every time! When I care for my eyelashes they last me about 3 weeks before they start falling out and then i just go for a refill. Waxing- idk the girls name but they were super friendly and fun to talk to takes my mind off the pain when getting my lip waxed. read more

Love this place!! it was my first time coming here and everything was great. me and a friend had called ahead of time to get a mani and pedi. when I got there I decided to change the treatment I had originally chosen for sns. they were very understanding and didn't mind at all. my fingers (sns) turned out great and so did my toes (regular). my only complaint was that the sns didn't last a full 4 weeks at about two and a half they started flaking and lifting from the nail. but they didn't come off for about three weeks. pretty disappointing especially since this place was not cheap! all in all I would. one here agin only because of the great service and the regular polish lasted me 4 weeks on my toes. but I wouldn't recommend the sns! read more

Two months ago I went to get a haircut and instead got Belittled. Chris was recommended to me so I figured it would be a rather good haircut. Instead I was belittled for wanting my hair cut above my shoulders but not wanting a bob. News flash, not every short haircut is a bob. I was told I was wrong in what I wanted bc my hair was too thick and would flip out and instead he thinned out (not by request) and guess what my hair did after. Flipped out :) I was also made fun of for parting my hair in the middle (a look that is very on trend) and called a grandma for it. I was to the point of holding back tears bc I felt so attacked. I went in to have a pretty haircut in a nice welcoming environment and neither of those things happened. read more

I just moved to Corpus a month ago and I'm picky about my haircuts so finding a stylist was difficult. It seems as though this place has not changed, I don't like doing this but if their was only one business I could give a bad review for , it would be this place. They hire people who don't know what their doing with hair, their slow as hell, and have no understanding of why you go to a salon in the first place. The owner is one of the rudest persons I have meet. I went in for ombre purple, I waited about 30 min. she bleached it incorrectly, and little of the purple color caught. I payed her anyways bc she assured me she didn't have the right die in stock. Blah blah blah. So I take time out of my day a second time to have her do it right again, mind u she bleached it again, and still no vivid purple color, just dull lavender. I made a 3rd apt for her to fix it, and couldn't make it so i cancelled that one till another few days. When I went to my 3rd reseduled apt, to fix what mess she made, the owner then told me oh by the way we have to charge more bc it had been over a week since she last bleached it so she had to bleach more of it now, so that would be more $$$ I know bleaching that many times bc you screwed up isn't right and it aint gunna fade in a week either. lmao I could not get her to see that I was the one screwed from the begging like my time wasn't shhh, and she wanted to charge me more lol. I left w jacked up unfinished hair and they got paid to get this bad review. Don't go here they will try to burn you, and ruin your hair doing it. read more

I had a mani/ pedi. My pedi was decent. However, the girl who did my nails, Amy, was very unprofessional. ALL of the sides of my fingers were cut using the electric file which can be very painful. She was not even paying attention to what she was doing because she was too busy talking to her coworkers. All of my nail sizes came out different compared to the other hand. That would be the last time I go because of her. When I was talking about it to my family, my boyfriend's grandmother told me she had Amy before and said she had the same experience. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!!! I got my hair straightened there and they totally FRIED my hair. Then they redid it and fried it even more. I had to go to a different salon and get my hair completely cut off. Then they told me that the Chi straightening system reacts badly to other straighteners. I had my hair straightened a year prior at a different place, but she never asked what kind of chemicals had been used before. The new salon said that they definitely would have asked because it does react to other chemicals. Then she almost fell over when i told her that they tried to re-straighten it 6 weeks later. She said you NEVER do that! I wish I would have never gone to this salon. Now 3 months later, my hair still looks extremely fried and damaged. DO NOT go to this salon. I'm a cosmetologist and have been getting my nails done & I could obviously tell she did NOT want to do my nails. She didn't know how to ombré and blend my nails when I asked for a color on my refill. She stated she would only fill in the small gap, but if we were to do the "whole nail" it's a front and back refill or some made up crap. Which is fine. I've always done my hair myself, first time putting all my trust in a salon for hair color nonetheless in corpus period. Saw reviews and thought highly and booked an appointment. My hair turned out nothing as I imagined or wanted. I was so upset and in tears. Not to be dramatic but I tend to be a non emotional and reserved person. They didn't offer to fix nor try to take responsibility. I was blamed for their work. They don't tell you pricing, so I ended up paying $200 worth of hair color for absolutely unsatisfactory work. I was completely embarrassed for crying about trusting a stylist/salon with my hair and losing that much money over it. Only when I tried to talk to the manager and stylist and tried to get my money's worth was when they agreed to "fix" my hair of no charge. Sad that it was only agreed when I mentioned it. I used to be a regular here until I came in contact with the owner. She is probably one of the rudest people I have ever met. The last time I went in, I asked for a solar full set and prayed I wouldn't get my nails done by her. Just my luck--she was the next available tech and I was the next person on the waiting list. So I tell her I want a solar full set thinking everything is good to go. She pulls out white tips. I didn't want to be rude so I didn't say anything. I thought maybe she was going charge me for an acrylic set instead of solar since she was doing acrylic. Boy was I wrong. She tells me that solar is the same process as acrylic just a different powder, blah blah blah. I ain't buying it honey. I have had solar sets done many, many times. I am not an idiot. So she ends up charging me for a solar full set and I decide to keep my mouth shut to avoid a complete uproar from her because she has gotten defensive with me before. That was the last shot I am giving Kosmo Salon. I will not be returning. Customer service here has really gone down hill in the last couple of years. When they first opened, everyone who worked there was happy and they were a great team. Now, it seems like they are just there to make money and that's it. I really liked this place at first--like it was my go-to for nails. I'm not sure where Nancy went but she was awesome and so friendly. I asked for her every time I went. Now, I will take my money elsewhere and I will stop recommending this place to others. read more
