Lamb Gyro
Lyn H.

A solid little snack from a solid little place in a older looking strip mall. Seemed clean enough, staff wasn't rude, they weren't weak with the sauce ... which I appreciate. It must be popular with the neighborhood? ...I had to been there no more than 20 ish minutes and there must have been at least five doordash orders. Try them out if you're nearby.

Ordered: Family pack Gyros Included: 1 lbs meat, 6 pitas, tomatoes & onions Side order: regular size seasoned fries Food was nice & fresh including vegetables. Freshly cut & delivered. I thought I've ordered chicken but I guess I didn't. Lots of serving, one gyro was more than enough for me. Looks small but very fulfilling! I'll come back again and try chicken&baklava!

Large fry good but a tad salty

The service was fast and employees were pleasant and helpful. Gyros were tasty and filling. The place was clean with a hand full of tables. It appears most people are getting their food to go. Forgot to take pictures before ww ate.

Original with fries

Located in between a liquor store and Little Caesar's Pizza, this hole in the wall place is pretty good. When you come in they have a decent amount of chairs and tables to accommodate you for dine in. You order at the counter and then they call you to pick up your food. Their menu is pretty simple. They have wraps, salads, and their namesake, gyros. I went with their Original Gyro ($6.99) and made it a combo with fries ($9.39). You can choose onion rings as well ($10.29). Their original has onions, tomatoes, and Kosta's Gyros sauce on a fresh pita bread. They give a generous portion of fries and from the appearance of it, it looked like they overcooked it a bit but once yo start eating it, it's not overcooked at all. In fact it seemed a bit soft instead of crispy which was a bit of a head scratcher. As for the Gyro it self, it was decent. The meat was a bit more salty than I liked but the sauce sort of compensated for it. In closing, I will try the chicken gyro next time and make it a combo with onion rings. Hopefully those will be better than the fries. Yelp 2022 Review #2 853 overall

Original Gyro with Onion Rings and a side of extra Tzatziki sauce

Best Gryos in the Twin Ports Area! What more can be said about Kosta's Gyros! Its fantastic Mediterranean and Greek food! Service was prompt and friendly! Food came out very fast too! I frequent the location over in Superior but have not been here before. I ordered the original gyro with onion rings and a side of tzatziki. Tremendously great! Tomatoes were fresh and crisp, meat was seasoned perfectly, feta was chunky and savory! The interior was clean and new, as the man behind the counter said this location was opened a little over a year ago. I work at The Wade this summer and will be swinging by here for lunch on several occasions!

Amazing!! We stop at the drive thru in the Menards parking lot! A little hole-in-the-wall spot but did not disappoint! So good!

Their original gyros is excellent - it's flavorful, the meat is tender and the pita is soft and fresh.

First and foremost, I'd like to say what an amazing establishment. There is nothing like this that…read moreI know of in the Duluth area. Moreover, I hope the denizens of the Duluth area support this establishment because, as much as I enjoy OMC, Grandma's Canal Park Brewing, this kind of restaurant is needed here. The impetus for the above statement revolves around the absence of chef-driven and curated menus that capitalize on locality, creativity, and seasonality. This restaurant is located just on the other side of I-35. Smack-dab on Superior Street, next to North Shore Tattoo. Entering the establishment, you will see a simple and modestly adorned restaurant that is warm, inviting, and adequately lit. The menu is seasonal and robust with wonderful creations. Think of this as a Mediterranean tapas restaurant with a couple of larger entree-sized sharables. Everything we had was an incredible experience of contrasting flavours and textures. Here is what we had 1. Trio of Dips: You should get this so you don't miss out on the experience of each of these. It is hard to pick a favorite, but the Red Pepper Walnut was incredible. The citrus compote livened up this. The Labneh was quite lovely. More moisture should have been removed, but the selection of herbs atop of the labneh made this pop. The hummus was enjoyable, and had a thicker consistency than I usually have, but it was pretty good. 2. Seared Halloumi - Who doesn't like fried cheese?? The ouzo onions were a terrific addition. Get this one for sure. The hummus was enjoyable, and had a thicker consistency than I usually have, but it was pretty good. 3. Pickled and Stuffed Chard - This was a fun twist on dolmades, and I enjoyed this one. I considered this my salad/vegetable intake for the day :) 4. Braised Rabbit - This was the only disappointment of the whole evening. The leg was flavorful, but it was sooo dry, and I regret not getting the pork. The table next to us got the port, and I was jealous. 5. (Desert )Olive Oil Cake - I was full at this point, but ordered it anyway. It was awesome. You've come this far, order it and thank me later. I really hope the folks of Duluth appreciate this gem in your city, and please support this restaurant.
