Extremely pleasant service and awesome food. However l don't like that I need to have a certain amount of words to describe my experience.

The restaurant is really cute with a casual seafood vibe. It wasn't crowded at all when we went, which I actually liked. We could sit, eat, have drinks and actually talk without yelling over music or a bunch of people. I really wanted to try the spinach chargrilled oysters, but they were out, so I had the regular chargrilled oysters instead and they were really good. The mountain trout was delicious! I wasn't a fan of the rice that came with it, but everything else on the plate was yummy. We also had the chicken and waffles, which were great. The Adluh Mills grits were tasty too. They were different from regular grits, but it was a nice spin and I liked them. We wanted the mac and cheese, but unfortunately that was sold out too. The Buoy Bites were delicious and I had the Riptide Rita, which was also really good. Our waitstaff was great and took good care of us. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would come back. I just wish they had more of the menu available, especially on a Sunday evening. Flying in from NY and having this on my list of places I wanted to try, it was disappointing not being able to order several of the things I came for. But what we did have was good and there are definitely a few things I would order again.

You can see in the picture that they have standing options for times when you simply want to stand and catch up with friends. Yet, you also have patio seating for eating outside on nice days. Sadly, it was too hot to enjoy doing anything outside. Luckily, the inside was just as nicely decorated. You can see in the picture the cozy bar seating in the center of the space. They have a variety of small and large tables for different parties. The waitress was friendly and quickly served us drinks. She also answered our questions. My friend, who recommended this place, ordered the fish and chips as that is always his go-to. He received a nice size piece of fish and thick cut chips (fries). My other friend ordered the shepherd's pie. As you can see, the presentation was great. He said the mash potatoes were good, yet the gravy was bland. I ordered the ostrich meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables because where else can you get ostrich meatloaf?! I enjoyed the meatloaf as it had a unique spiced taste that I assume was the ostrich. It was slightly heartier than turkey meatloaf but lighter than typically beef meatloaf. Similar to my friend who ordered the shepherd's pie, the gravy topping was the weak link. While it was different from the shepherd's pie, it still lacked true flavor. I would recommend it if you want a unique dish in an Irish pub, yet I'd ask the waitress to hold the gravy.

Some of the best neighborhood bars are the ones you'd never stumble upon unless someone brought you…read morethere... and this is one of them. Tucked away in the back of a strip mall off Park Road next to the Shitty Kitty (IYKYK), this place has all the ingredients for becoming your new local favorite. It's low-lit, clean, has a cool mural inside, plenty of parking, and the A/C was working overtime on a 95-degree day--which honestly deserves its own five-star review. The staff was phenomenal. We came with friends who stop in every Saturday, and the bartender essentially already had their drinks in mind before they even sat down. I love seeing that kind of neighborhood feel where regulars are treated like family, but newcomers are welcomed just the same. The pours were generous (which is always appreciated), and the burgers were banging. The fries were solid too... personally, I like mine a little thinner, but that's purely preference, not a complaint, and I ordered them extra crispy... they delivered! Everything came out hot and exactly as ordered. My only "complaint" (and it's more of a funny observation than anything) came courtesy of the men's room. Apparently they're very serious about conserving toilet paper or the men's bathroom wanting to be used in that capacity because, according to my boyfriend and our friend (who went to investigate after we couldn't stop laughing), you would definitely have to lift from the toilet seat to reach the roll. We got a good laugh out of that one. All good from the women's room tho! Haha! This is the kind of place you stop into once and find yourself wanting to come back. Great people, great vibes, cold A/C (on the HOTTEST DAYS), heavy pours, and burgers worth the trip. I'll definitely be back!

I love looking at the meat counter and all the prepared meals/food they have available. We started off with the burnt ends which were pretty good, only complaint was the brisket was a little dry, must not have used the fattier cut. But overall a good dish. One cut was filet, one was teres major, but I cannot remember the other cut. All had excellent toppings and were cooked to a great medium rare. Wife got the burger which was on sale this day of the week for $7! It was excellent, you can't find a better burger in charlotte at that price. The atmosphere is always very personal and cozy, it is a bar with table seating but just be aware it's not your typical dining room.

I love the chicken sandwich as well the slaw really brightens up the chicken and the sauce also sets it off! We also got a house made juice it was green and the name is escaping me-- either way don't forget yours! The dragonfruit one is also delicious and very refreshing! I've had many yucca fries and these are the best. They're crispy and the sauce it comes with is perfection. I prefer the bowls over the sandwiches to minimize carbs. You can't go wrong with any of them. Key lime pie: I'm ordering this again. This Keylime pie beats any Keylime pie in the Key West. I like that the custard has some lime shavings for texture. I also appreciate that they use meringue instead of whipped cream. The dessert is perfectly tangy. Chocolate cake: it's a really good chocolate cake. It's such a simple dessert yet not everyone gets it right. I personally prefer the Keylime pie, but for the chocolate lovers, this might be the best chocolate cake. Santiago cake: a high protein cake with almond and eggs. I actually make this at home often but I wanted to compare mine with the restaurants. The texture was good, but it had a refrigerator taste to it which I didn't like.
