First times for us here at this place. VERY VERY pleasantly surprised. Walked in on a Saturday night. Metallica was playing in town, so at the time 6pm (ish). Daniel (owner) came up immediately and showed us the ropes. He took the time to explain a few favorites on the menu, shared a little bit about the place, and convinced us that we were where we should be. My wife and split the house salad and the fish sandwich. Both were excellent. The wine was good. Heavy pours which we enjoyed. The wife loved it. Cameron even gave my wife a free sample of the Collard Greens. We would highly recommend this local place to out of towners (which we are). Daniel and Cameron, thank you for being great hosts. We popped in the LoSo Tavern today after our flight into Charlotte. The restaurant was a quick walk from our hotel. The service was EXCELLENT! The waitresses were very attentive which I appreciated. We ordered the Redneck Egg Rolls which were delicious. The collard greens were seasoned nicely. We ordered the Friday Blue Plate Lunch Special: Fish Fry Friday. The description said Flounder but I don't believe it was flounder based on the texture of the meat. The food was seasoned but my only complaint is I don't believe it was flounder we were given to eat. We would return but I won't order the seafood. read more

This was a fun casual spot to check out! We got burger and fries with pimento cheese which is my favorite! We had friendly and attentive waiters. This was a good spot and there were some locals hanging out at the bar. I was thinking it was in Pineville due to the name, but it was not actually in Pineville. They had a good location and were close to get to, but off on a side road making it easy for parking. I started hanging out here when my friend's band plays live music. Its a chill, little sports bar with cheap beer and pretty good pub food! The waitstaff is nice and helpful. This is a chill place with alright food and service. I ordered the fish taco and the boom boom shrimp taco, but they were watery and everything inside the tacos kept coming out. Great bar just opened up in 2023! The service was super friendly and the food came hot and fast! The sliders had a really nice flavor and we enjoyed the fries. The chicken wings were very crispy and we appreciated how the skin didn't lose crunch once they were sauced but the only flavor we really liked the dry rub, the other two sauces felt one note. Came here on a whim with my boyfriend and had the best experience. It's not your average bar food. The menu has a lot of variety so there's something for everyone here. We got Mozz Sticks and bang bang shrimp for apps and they were delicious! The burger was cooked perfectly and the wings were extra crispy and packed with flavor. 7/10/22 Met a couple buddies here on Sunday for lunch & drinks while we watched the final few holes of PGA Scottish Open. Great staff, friendly and engaging. Great beer selection (drafts, bottles & cans). Plenty to choose from on the menu. I ordered a burger with cheese & bacon and a side of fries. Now known as LoSo Tavern Stopped here for a quick dinner, ended up getting the Buffalo chicken dip and a Buffalo chicken sandwich on a pita bread. The dip was good, could have been a little more seasoned. Chicken was kind of bland and the Buffalo flavor wasn't super strong. The chicken was fried well, and had great flavor. The blue cheese mayo really made the whole sandwich. We got ranch with and fries, both were very good. My husband got the Cuban sandwich and it was really good as well. They only had one front of house staff member and even though there was only one other table seated she still refused to provide proper service. - shouting from across the room if we needed anything and walked away before we could finish responding. Walked past numerous time without any comment or inquiry. Whispered and kept walking when asked questions. - front house of restaurant was empty for the majority of time we were present, no staff. To reiterate THERE WAS A SINGLE OTHER CUSTOMER IN THE RESTAURANT. Can't imagine how this place would be full packed when it like this with barely anyone here. I will start with the complaint, there was only one server working the bar and tables so we waited a bit but we'll worth it as far as I'm concerned! I appreciate restaurant's and chefs who are not afraid to be bold with their flavors. This spot did not disappoint. I got chops, collard greens and Mac and cheese. All of them tasted like someone cared about what each component tasted like. As in this was more than a mere s&p seasoning situation and I am forever grateful. Now that my daughter has decided to become a boxer I will continue my journey in #fatandgreedy chronicles because this will be my hangout while she's at practice. I had passed this place before and I have also heard about it from Charlotte locals who have told me it is a staple and a great neighborhood bar. Sounded like my kind of place so we decided to give it a shot and it was pretty much exactly what I expected. Just a good old fashioned watering whole. Diverse age groups and backgrounds all posting up to have some drinks and a bite to eat. We had already ate so we decided to stick with drinks. The service was great and the bartenders were very friendly. When we got our tab at the end of the night we were both impressed. It's rare to find cheap drinks anymore. This is a nice bar/restaurant that I located on Yelp. I was looking for a place to get some good eats, drinks, and watch football on a Sunday afternoon. I walked in and felt the positive vibes of the place. One of today's specials was $3 Mimosas, yes please, cranberry for me. I ordered "The LoSo", pork sliders that really hit the spot as I had not eaten breakfast that morning. They included pulled pork, tomato-bacon chutney, pickled slaw & chipotle mayo. The sliders were served with fries or chips. I selected fries and was not disappointed (I never order fries) as they were piping hot! I was in seventh heaven this Sunday afternoon. I only wish I could have stayed much longer and had more food and drinks. Service was great and 99% of the fans were well behaved (there was one exception, as always). I enjoyed my spontaneous visit to this Pub and will definitely be back for more good eats, drinks, and football! read more

I agree it doesn't really qualify as a neighborhood pub; however, folks were hanging with their friends, making new ones, while a trio of 60+ year olds flirted with the bartender (like they stood a chance). McCoy's is 100 yards away and they manage the same flux of hungry souls, too, so apparently not a big deal. I ordered the Cialis Burger because I wanted a juicy hunk of meat with an egg running all over my plate (and not because I need help getting it up. Hey, that's what it says on the menu--just need to vanquish any doubts!). Both the burger and egg were cooked perfectly. I added salt, however. The shoestring fries were a surprise. Gone. This is a great place to eat if you want to feel what it's like to sit at the "whites only" counter in Woolworth's in 1968. I hate to confirm what other black folks have said in the reviews of this bar but I find it to be true. This bar completely ignored my wife and I when we came in for an afternoon snack during college football season. The restaurant was empty except for a few people who were sitting at the bar. After standing by the door waiting to be seated about 5 minutes a waitress finally addressed us. She didn't get up from her seat at the bar where she was drinking. She just turned around and said "Seat yourselves. Anywhere you want." We sat down. We sat there for 10 minutes while every employee in the business ignored us. Some even made eye contact with us via the mirror behind the bar but then they would quickly look away. No one ever brought over menus, took our drink order or even greeted us. I am beyond disgusted. At a time when we should be unifying behind our similarities I feel that I was judged by the color of my skin. This bar has other reviews from black people who also felt un-welcomed in recent months. I've been here before and I wasn't treated like this. I tipped well and I was very friendly. I don't know what could've changed. We ended up leaving without being served or addressed by the waitstaff other than when they told us to seat ourselves. We were there for a total of 15 minutes before giving up on being treated with dignity. If they don't want my money I'm not going to give it to them and I'll never return to this bar again. So I guess they get what they want. And I got what I want too, by going to their competitor McCoy Smokehouse and Saloon which was bustling on a Saturday afternoon with a lively atmosphere, friendly customer service and great value on their menu. If you're reading this and don't want to support a business that might be racist (at worst) or has a supremely lazy staff (at best) then head over to McCoys up the street. You won't regret it and they have some of the best wings in Charlotte. read more
