I am so happy to have a dye free, healthier shaved ice option for my daughter. I wish they could be at every festival and location we go to. All the dye and junk in all the other local trucks drive me crazy. Not only is Kotei kids healthier but all their flavors are super unique and awesome. They even have sugar free flavors that have stevia and monkfruit, not sucrulose or any other the other supper unhealthy sugar free ingredient. We had them come for my daughter's bday party as well. Jackie was a pleasure to work with and her husband did an amazing job pulling the truck into my crazy steep court. They made an extra special large ice for my daughter and she was so happy. I would definitely book them again. read more

Kotei Ice is a must for all of your events whether its for kids or adults. We recently had them come out for our son's birthday party and it was the best idea we've ever had. Since we knew they were coming we actually got to enjoy our sons party and had much less stress than we typically would have when it came to planning the treats for the party. Our guests raved about the ice and since they're organic and vegan with no artificial dyes there was no guilt in what we were serving all of the kids! Our son has a severe egg allergy and this was a much better solution to hosting an allergen free party that everyone could enjoy. If you have an allergen kid or are inviting friends with allergies I cannot reccomend them enough as a delicious low stress choice. Kotei ice was easy to work with, quick to respond and they were so fast in serving our guests at the party! We will definitely have them at our future parties! Trust me, skip the artificial snow cone trucks. You want Kotei ice! read more

Kotei Kids Shaved Ice participated in a Spring Festival at our local elementary school. They were kind, on time, prepared and friendly. The community loved the shaved ice! They were a huge hit at the festival. We will 100% be requesting to partner with them in the future. read more

WOW I absolutely loved their shaved ice! I've never really been a fan of shaved ice before because it was always too sweet but the flavors and tastes of this were incredible. Great customer service too! read more

You will love our organic shaved ice! We bring you the best and most delicious shaved ice around. We love seeing the reaction of someone trying our shaved ice for the first time. With your first bite you will realize that not all shaved ice is created equal. As parents we know how important it is to make sure our three children have the very best so we wanted to provide shaved ice flavors that taste great and are free from junk. We wanted our kids to have cold treats that are without high fructose corn syrup, dyes, and artificial sweeteners because that is important to us. By using all-natural, and organic ingredients, we've accomplished the best of both worlds. We do our best to reduce waste, by using glass/metal/paper instead of plastic wherever we can, and serve our treats in only compostable products.

History

Established in 2022.

Kotei Kids Shaved Ice was initially started to show our children that you can turn something you love into a real business. As successful entrepreneurs in other industries, we wanted our children to learn entrepreneurship first-hand. With them still being so young, it's been amazing to watch them get involved in so many elements of the business and sometimes (when they're not in school) you can even find them helping serve shaved ice or "taste-testing" all the yummy flavors!

Meet the Business Owner: The Kotei Kids I.

First and foremost, this is how you pronounce Kotei (Koh-tay). Our father is from Ghana and our mom is African-American. We three kids love doing all types of fun things and are excited to have you try our shaved ice! We're not in it for the money, we thought this shaved ice business would be a good idea because now our parents let us have all the shaved ice we want lol. As a family we love traveling and have been to Ghana, Italy, Paris, Maui and several other states in the US. Most days during the warmer months, you can find us outside playing and exploring local kids activities.
