They have a self-serve water station with cups, bowls, and other utensils for you to freely grab. I also love how much seating there is inside. Perfect place to yap away with friends :)) The food does not disappoint. It's very homey and just consistent, which I love. The staff here are so sweet and kind. I wanted to order a porridge and a bingsoo at the same time, but she told me I shouldn't and that she'd have the bingsoo ready for when we finished the warm porridge. I'm so glad I listened because it would've been weird eating hot, steamy porridge and an iced dessert at the same time, especially with the dessert melting. Right when we finished our porridge, I walked over to ask her to prep the bingsoo, but she already had it finished because she noticed we were done eating. So attentive!!! Also, if you're allergic to sesame seeds, I'd advise telling them beforehand. Most of these dishes involve a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top. My friend is allergic and we forgot to tell them, so we tried to spoon them out, but it's hard to get everything.

When we were told that it'd take 15 minutes to wait for the correct dish, we declined. We wanted to eat together. There wasn't an offer to refund it. It would've been fine if the wrong one tasted great. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was weirdly full of iceberg lettuce. I'm taking away one star for the error. We tried the Matcha Bingsoo for dessert this time. It was pretty good. I'll include the photos of the meals. 3/10/26 I can't believe my family and I hadn't eaten here until now. The entrees were delicious. And, the rice cakes for desserts! The name of the restaurant, "juk," made me think they only make porridge. We're definitely returning.

Their 3D mousse desserts are some of the best I have ever had, and the loaded bingsu makes Shilla a must-visit in Annandale. Shilla has been a neighborhood staple for years, offering everything from cakes and breads to bing-su and beverages. I have had many of their cakes for celebrations and birthdays, they always hit. While they nail the classics, they also continue to impress with creative desserts that feel fresh and refined. The interior has plenty of seating, clean, and cute paintings on the walls to set the mood. Despite the busy crowds, service was quick and welcoming. We came specifically for the 3D mousse desserts, and they exceeded expectations. My favorites were the Sleeping Bear, Avocado, and Banana. The avocado mousse was surprisingly nutty and paired perfectly with the banana jam filling, creating a balanced dessert that wasn't overly sweet. The Chocolate Bear was equally smooth and creamy, and even the buttery cookie base was delicious. The strawberry bingsu was generously topped with condensed milk and large, chewy pieces of rice cake, making it the perfect dessert to share. Shilla remains Annandale's staple bakery and a gem.

I don't like what they call banana mousse, to me it tastes a bit like alcoholic sour banana ish? The avocado shape is super cute though. All the dye and junk in all the other local trucks drive me crazy. Not only is Kotei kids healthier but all their flavors are super unique and awesome. They even have sugar free flavors that have stevia and monkfruit, not sucrulose or any other the other supper unhealthy sugar free ingredient. We had them come for my daughter's bday party as well. Jackie was a pleasure to work with and her husband did an amazing job pulling the truck into my crazy steep court. They made an extra special large ice for my daughter and she was so happy. I would definitely book them again.

Since we knew they were coming we actually got to enjoy our sons party and had much less stress than we typically would have when it came to planning the treats for the party. Our guests raved about the ice and since they're organic and vegan with no artificial dyes there was no guilt in what we were serving all of the kids! Our son has a severe egg allergy and this was a much better solution to hosting an allergen free party that everyone could enjoy. If you have an allergen kid or are inviting friends with allergies I cannot reccomend them enough as a delicious low stress choice. Kotei ice was easy to work with, quick to respond and they were so fast in serving our guests at the party! We will definitely have them at our future parties! Trust me, skip the artificial snow cone trucks. You want Kotei ice!

It might have just been because I was visiting during COVID times, but the actual Snow Show counter was closed and we had to order from the neighboring boba shop...the signage wasn't particularly clear, and there weren't any staff members on that side of the restaurant, so we ended up thinking that it was just closed for a bit. Aside from that, though, absolutely loved the place! The decor and ambiance were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. They really made the entire restaurant feel like a winter wonderland, with snowflakes, string lights, and fake icicles. The seating was in the shape of mini igloos and absolutely adorable. If nothing else, I would highly recommend just coming here to take a bunch of cute photos. The bingsoo itself is...solid but nothing particularly special. The ice is yummy, and I loved the mini mango mochi and popping pearls. I did thing that there were a bit too many popping pearls compared to the amount of ice -- I felt like the last 30% of the bowl was just popping pearls. The mango was clearly frozen, so it was a bit tough to bite through without my teeth getting a bit too cold, but it was still pretty tasty! Some of the miniature mochi balls had a great, chewy texture, while others seemed to still be frozen. All around, a pretty solid spot, but there's definitely some room for improvement...even so, I'll probably still find myself here again since I'm a bit of a bingsoo addict.

Yummy new spot for desserts in Eden Center!…read more Tried the bubble tea bingsu, the signature taro ball dessert, and the caramel boba pudding. The bingsu was good - the texture was a nice balance of ice and cream. And the boba was able to maintain it's soft and chewy texture despite being at the bottom of the cold dessert. The caramel pudding was quite good. The sauce was more like a brown sugar syrup, but it complemented the milder flavor of the pudding well. The taro ball dessert was a little underwhelming. The taro balls themselves did not have a strong taro flavor. Most of the flavor was in the caramel syrup that came with the dish. And there was a lot of syrup on this one. There was a real chunk of in the dessert as well, which is where most of the actual flavor came from. But this dessert was more about the texture than the flavor tbh. The inside is set up in a pretty cute way though. Wish it wasn't a pandemic so more people could sit down and enjoy the atmosphere but hopefully this place will stick around long enough for that opportunity.
