Daughter in town from Denver. Went yo this establishment on the recommendation of my nail technician. My husband and daughter did sushi, which was average tasting. I ordered the beef pho. Very disappointing. The bone broth was SWEET! (Never experienced this before!) It was not served with fresh basil or anything. The noodle was incorrect. Best item on the menu was the tempura shrimp. I have been craving Pho for a couple weeks now. I called and ordered it and spoke to the kindest person who was super helpful and very sweet. My husband picked up the Pho and I heated it up and it was pretty bad. The broth didn't have much flavor and the meatballs and beef were so tough that I could barely eat them. I threw them out and ate the vegetables and the noodles. Pretty disappointing for my first time here. But once again, whoever took my order was super super nice. read more

I came here with two coworkers for an early dinner - we all enjoyed our food very much! We split steamed gyoza, the nem nuong cuon, and the shaking beef. I hadn't had shaking beef in so long and it was very tasty. We also each got sushi. I ordered the Lotus Roll and the Crunchy Roll. You probably won't be surprised to hear that the Lotus Roll was falling apart... cucumber is slippery with chopsticks! Both had a good flavor though, and I'd definitely order the Crunchy Roll again. I really enjoyed the lunch here with my 2 cousins and 5 nephews. We ordered a variety of Vietnamese dishes, as well as sushi rolls. Ordered online at 7:31p. Confirmed and stated order would be ready by 8:11p. It is 8:42p and ordered still not ready. Saying sushi part of the order is not done. There are only two tables with customers in the restaurant. A 2 top and a 4 top. Two other people waiting for orders.......... Finally at 8:54p order was ready. Got home. The pad Thai was hot, my wife said the vegetables were fresh and it tasted good. The sushi rolls....ugh. the rice was undercooked.l, not seasoned ( supposed to be a vinegar/sugar seasoning to the rice, if they put any on it was minimal, could not taste it) the pictures on the online ordering do not match up to what you get. Since the order had taken so long to put together, my pho was cold and stuck together. Had to boil water and heat it and the soup up. But once I heated it up, it tasted good. Not overly salty . What a hidden gem! I always drove past this place on the way to work and it looks very unassuming from the outside (just an Asian restaurant in a strip mall). When we walked inside for lunch we were amazed how beautiful it was decorated inside! Very spacious too. This restaurant seems to have an Asian fusion mix but primarily serves Vietnamese and Japanese food. It was also a good sign that there was a huge table of Asians eating there (I am also Asian so when I see other Asians I'm like yes! This place must be legit/authentic...we are very picky when it comes to Asian food!). My friends and I sat down and ordered a bunch of different things. My two vegan friends had no issue trying to order food and they ended ordering a bunch and splitting it. I decided to get 2 Japanese skewers (pork belly and shrimp), broken rice platter which comes with 2 pork chops, salad, rice and pickled radishes AND the fiery shrimp roll. The pork belly was alittle overdone but had good flavors. My shrimp was grilled really good delicious. My broken rice platter came out and it was huge! Delicious grilled and seasoned pork chops. Yum! My sushi roll was also very good. Overall I'm impressed with the food. Maybe I'll try the pho in the future but wanted to stick with some dishes I don't usually get. Been here a few times. Like that there's a vegetarian section of the menu; I've had their vegetarian tofu lemongrass vermicelli and their vegetarian banh xeo. The vermicelli was good, decent amount and flavor (sorry I was so hungry at the time and didn't take a picture). Banh xeo crepe was nice and crispy but unhappy with a few things: 1. Not enough fresh lettuce/perilla to wrap it (you get two pieces of lettuce and a few small perilla) 2. It's difficult to wrap hard vegetables, e.g. carrots cut in the transverse plane that they put in the crepe. 3. My mom got the shrimp/pork one and said there were 2 small pieces of pork, 1 shrimp cut sagitally and too much bean sprouts with no onions. My other party member had the vermicelli with pork and spring roll. Decent amount of meat but you get one lonely spring roll which wasn't that great nor crispy. Atmosphere-wise, it looks pretty nice inside. Service-wise is hit or miss. My first time there was great (dinner on a weekend). My second time, not so much (late lunch around 2pm ish on a weekday); the waiter barely said a word to us even when we left. Had to go up to the register directly to pay a few times because it was impossible to get attention of someone. read more

I loved the food here!! I got the bonito tataki as an appetizer and it was delicious with great-quality fish and a yummy sauce. It was very light with the greens and veggies beneath the fish. I also got the red Phoenix roll which was excellent. Both dishes were served beautifully even though I got takeout, and they looked super appetizing. This is our go to restaurant for a healthy meal at any time of week. We go here at least once a week or get take out from here. The staff is kind. My son is special needs, so they always look out for us. The sushi is fresh and they have impressive specials like monk fish liver (Ankimo) and live Uni. The pho noodles (never too soft) and broth are on point. I always save the side dish of Asian veggies they give with the pho to prepare another meal at home. They give plenty. The charbroiled pork and BBQ pork chop are other go to favorites of our's. The decor is modern and there is outdoor seating on nice days. I would recommend this restaurant 100%! read more

Happy to see this place opening. Interior is gorgeous though we opted for takeout. Vietnamese summer rolls were fresh and tasty. Sushi was well-liked by the kids but a tad pricy considering we got what would usually be cheaper cooked maki items (shrimp tempura and eel rolls). Wife got rice noodles with lemongrass beef and I got ginger chicken stir fry with rice. We were both happy with portion size and flavor. Also got a mango smoothie and a soda chanh (lemonade soda) which were both big hits. Grandma got shrimp fried rice and was happy with the amount of shrimp (see pic). Service was really friendly. We'll definitely return again! Update: Came back to try the pho. It was fabulous and very, very well packed up for takeout. The sushi was not fresh. When we told the waiter that the fish had a smell, the waiter can only defend that they had a whole house last night and the fish is consumed within 2 days. Very beautiful restaurant. It's pretty much an upscale pho restaurant. The pho was actually pretty good for a suburban area. A great place to get pho if you don't want to drive to Philly and deal with the vaccine mandate or just don't want to go to Philly in general. Probably the best authentic pho I had outside of Philly. They're generous with their meats and noodles. The broth was a little lacking to me but nothing a little bit of fish sauce and hoisin/sriracha couldn't fix. I would also recommend their summer rolls. It was so fresh and now those were the best summer rolls I've ever had. I would definitely come back for them! I didn't try their Japanese cuisine but it was pretty much just sushi. This is our second time eating here. And it is as good as I remembered. The vietnamese food is very flavorful and cooked well. We started off with the papaya salad which is a bit sweeter than normal Thai salads. But very fresh and crunchy with peanuts. I got the bo lu lac (beef) which is stir fry beef on top of watercress. It was delicious. I only wished for more lime because one sliver of lime wasn't enough for dipping sauce. My husband got the deluxe pho the one that has the beef and tendon etc. It was okay he said but just a bit too salty for him. We also got the pan friend noodles with seafood also delicious and lots of seafood and fish balls. Lastly they are kid friendly, which is a plus because we haven't found that many kid friendly restaurants lately. read more

We ordered take out on a Wednesday afternoon around 6 PM, so I cannot comment as to the restaurant itself. As for the food, we had quite the order: Volcano Roll, Spicy Scallops Roll, Takoyaki, Coconut Shrimp, Tiger Roll, and Crunchy Roll. I am not familiar with Takoyaki. Essentially they're round balls of fluffy dough that are smothered with a savory takoyaki sauce and have a tasty piece of octopus meat at the center. They were cooked to perfection and were my favorite dish. Out of the sushi rolls, I preferred the spicy scallops roll, but they were all delicious. Overall, I was impressed by the quality of sushi and ingredients. Although it's a little pricey, it's worth it. read more

KOY became our go to favorite sushi restaurant when we moved to Media 3 years ago. The chef is very creative, the sushi is always fantastic, and the menu has many other dishes. The service and staff are exceptional and they always remember us (and many other customers) whether we're dining in or taking out. Updated Review: After my previous review, it appears that the restaraunt and the staff cares about the customer experience; they seem to strive for excellent, if not the "gold standard" of service. If any reason on this list does not convince you to come, the service and the friendliness of the staff should; they really care about their customers. In terms of the interior, the walls, tables, and overall ambiance is very modern yet cozy; it is very reminiscent of the color and vibrancy of Singapore, yet the coziness you would still expect from a good-quality restaraunt. The flavor of the food is amazing quality, and is probably one of the best phos that I have ever had (in my lifetime), and believe me, I have had a lot of pho (as I have traveled to Houston and San Francisco just for pho). The freshness of the meat is uncomparable. In addition, the pho is very clean-tasting; it is not as greasy as some of the other phos I have had. If you are near Garnet Valley/Glen Mills, you should definitely visit this place if you are feeling adventurous for Asian cuisine, or if you just love pho as much as I do. For beginners, who have never had pho before, I would recommend getting the "Pho Tai". Squirt some lime in there, and you're good to go! Very mixed review here: -food: good meal if you get chirashi sushi or pho. Bun dai and shrimp tempura were fine but nothing to write home about. Red Phoenix roll was pretty good -service: sorry to say but the service was nonexistent. The orders were mixed up and spaced too far apart. Our youngest son (5 yrs old and was hangry) got her meal 30 minutes after the first person in our group got their main meal. And the appetizer came after some people got their main meal. A couple of us didn't get water until we asked several times. We nearly canceled the last order we were waiting for because most of our party was finished already. It must have been an off day for them because it seems lots of reviews here say the service was good for them. We might try again but maybe takeout instead of sitting and eating. read more

I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Wow. It was SO good. Clean place, fresh sushi, awesome and quick service. We got miso soup and ginger salad to start. Best miso I've had in awhile! And the ginger dressing was so good, not like anything I've ever had before. Also got the fried dumplings that were SO good. I don't know anywhere that fries them like that and they were to die for, I wanted to order more lol. For sushi we got the flaming crab roll (I think? It was a special), sweet potato, crazy roll and Philly roll. The flaming crab roll was piled with crab and spicy sauce it was my favorite one, so good, I hope they add that on their everyday menu! We also got the spicy tuna and another special that had lobster ontop, very good as well. Everything was excellent here, the place was very clean too which made us feel very comfortable during this time. The waitress was so kind and very attentive too! Koy used to be our/my favorite Vietnamese restaurant because the dishes there USED to taste like in the old country, what with the herbs and other condiments. We used to eat in, take our friends there, and order every week even after the steep price hikes. But lately? We noticed a deterioration in quality for in-house dishes (the small pancakes, mushy, mushy; the phở bouillon not strongly phở) and for take-outs. The last straw? Today, we ordered no. 131 (Udon with pork feet). Once picked up, verified, we noticed the pig feet disappeared, nowhere to be found. Not first time. When calling, a gravely voice upon listening to my English-spoken remarks, turned me over to another person, commenting that "some Vietnamese woman is complaining about an order." What? Did I complain in Vietnamese and he did not understand? Or the fact that I was an Asian/VN did not merit his attention. Short story? I was promised that it would not happen again, that next time we order, they would do better, blabla. No refund (at $17.00!), no "we will cook it again and you can pick it up, etc." NEVER AGAIN. So for those of you addicted to VN Beef soup (phở), I can say, one can find better deals (prices and quality) elsewhere with friendlier service over the phone (VPho?) . ND read more
