Salmon sushi was surprisingly very good! Definitely would recommend for the taste, but not for the ridiculous tiny amount that you get for your $$. When they say, "two rolls" it is only (6) tiny pieces (as pictured). That was so disappointing! The shrimp egg foo young is worth trying. It reminds me of an omelette. Great local sushi/Chinese food place! The new girl at the front desk is so friendly and helpful! I accidentally ordered some sashimi instead of the sushi pieces, they fixed it for me no problem! My order was ready within 10 minutes and the online ordering was super easy. I do wish the Kani Salad had more kani than cucumbers. read more

The front portion is used for storage, leaving lots of boxes and junk piled up. Not a clean nor inviting feeling as you walk in. I came in with my two year old and while waiting for food, I was looking around a little bit. She dropped something on the floor and when I leaned over to pick it up I caught a glimpse of a disturbing amount of mice droppings in the front corner by the window...A LOT! I wish I caught their health inspection score but I did not. Based on this alone, I assume they are set to fail their next inspection. Service: standard. My roommates ordered Chinese food while I ordered Japanese. I had ordered from here last week and shared myegg roll. mein with my one roommate and he has been craving it ever since. So he ordered that along with pork dumplings and an egg roll. He mentioned that although he loved the lo mein he was not a fan of the dumplings. My other roommate ordered veggie lo main and an egg roll... she said it was all good. She really liked the eggroll. I was starving, so I ordered scallion pancakes( I ate the whole thing before I remembered to take a pic, lol) you get 4 triangles, which for what was charged seemed a little pricey but they did not disappoint. They were tasty and crispy but with a chewiness in the center. I also got a sushi lunch special. That comes with a side salad and miso soup. I also ordered a Kani salad(shredded cucumber, imitation crab and tobiko tossed in a mayo based dressing) it's the 2nd time I've ordered it from here. Giving two stars because food and sushi were good, don't recommend the fried rice tho. Went there since were on vacation and we go back to our home state and realize they put a 10$ tip on my card without my permission and when I called he walked around giving me my money back but didn't actually offer it. Total was 50$ but my card was charged 60$ even though I put no tip on the receipt in-house. When I checked my bank account I realized they wrote in their own tip. I recently stopped in New Aston Palace for lunch. Chinese and Japanese food is served here, and the food is pretty good. I stopped in mainly for their sushi lunch. The interior won't overwhelm you, and I'd personally don't think that anyone is coming here to dine in unless they're having lunch while working. Even under those conditions I'd say order your food to go. It was down right cold inside when I decided to eat in. There are only a few small two seat tables there, which would be more convenient for the workers there than the customers... On to the food. The spicy salmon roll was good as well as he sashimi lunch that I ordered. The sashimi was sliced on the thin side if you ask me, but it satisfied my craving. This was the first time I'm ordering from New Aston Palace I must say they are very polite however not worth the money. The miso soup was very bland, just absolutely tasteless. The salad was drenched with ginger dressing, it would have been great if the ginger dressing was automatically put on the side. I will admit that I haven't tried any other dishes here however all in all, this isn't the best place to get sushi from. Will not order again. Meh on the food... The Chinese food here is not good. The rice is always hard and non flavorful. The food is super greasy and always seems old and not fresh. The food here is good on the Chinese side (especially the appetizers) and I have been getting their sushi for years without gastronomic complaint, EVER. The sushi is made to order fresh and beautiful. I especially love the veggie combo. True the decor is ridiculously casual but it is hardly the first Chinese place to have a "dining room" that looks like this. The workers are so friendly me and my husband used to actually joke about it, for each item ordered the take-out guy would say, "Sure and why not?" to acknowledge it. I like this place for two reasons- delivery and sushi. We just ordered dinner for cheat day and although I'm about to go on a sodium overload I think I may have had the best supreme spicy tuna roll in my life- spicy tuna on the outside, California on the inside. I've ordered and eaten in here and the place is drab and loud and dark but sterile in appearance (if that combination is possible.) The only downside about this place- everyone else knows it's good- so we waited for an hour and some change for delivery...but that's what we get for being lazy, I suppose. Wonton soup noodles were mushy, the meat (I had beef and hubby had chicken) were slimy, not sure if it was from the sauce used even though they were diff type of meals, but we couldn't trust eating it. This is your typical place to get take out Chinese food. They have the usual deals for combinations platters, which are pretty good, I haven't had one bad experience yet. The real gem here is the sushi. Something you wouldn't expect from a little "strip mall" esque eatery. They make everything fresh once you order it and are extremely quick with making it. Also I would like to make a note on how friendly the staff is there, they great you with a smile and if by some chance they were in the back and come to the front room and see you, they apologize for not greeting you. Great sushi in a town otherwise devoid of ethnic restaurants. A ton of different sushi rolls made fresh to order and the prices are not bad at all. This little gem is hard to find on Google Maps, but once you've been there, you'll def add it to your list of go-to restaurants. Clean bathroom, so I'm not afraid of the seafood. In the Media/Aston area, this place is a treasure! When you have 3 small kids and just got here from 2 years in Okinawa Japan, sushi delivery is what it takes to make it through the week. Temaki in Media has better sushi. Margaret Kuo's (Granite Run or Media) have some better, some not and are a much more expensive but better eat-in option but - and this is key - NO ONE ELSE DELIVERS. The Chinese food at New Aston Palace is very good as is the sushi. The house specials are excellent. Special dietary requirements? They have no trouble turning any dish into vegetarian by substituting tofu for the meat. NONE of their food has ANY MSG (and they will be slightly offended if you ask them about this - AS IF)! And their Bento Boxes!!!! Yum!!! And soooo easy on the budget. If you don't know about the Bento menu, just ask. I noticed their website is not working properly. As I am from Connecticut, I am used to the amazing sushi around there. It is hard to come by a good sushi place in PA. With that being said, the spicy salmon rolls here are alright. The Alaska roll was not good at all. Typically an Alaska roll has raw tuna and avocado, but this roll had cooked tuna. The tuna seemed as though it was from a can.
