I've only done grub hub delivery and not dined in however the food has always been very tasty and the portions well let's just say you can definitely share! Great Thai - Chinese Restaurant! We really enjoyed the unique dishes and flavors they offer. They have the normal Chinese favorites plus some unique culinary Dishes. We enjoyed the Thai Chicken and The Thai Mango Shrimp. We enjoyed them both. The mango was lightly sweet and the chicken was smooth and flavorful. We had the egg drop and wonton soups which were rich and good. Definitely want to try some of the other unique dishes like the walnut shrimp. read more

After my initial visit a couple of weeks ago I returned twice and both times the food was very good so I thought it best to bump up a star. The Singapore mei fun (thin noodles in a very light curry sauce) was the primary test item as very few restaurants serve it and it was delicious to boot. A little on the spicy side and the curry is distinct so if you like a little kick I would recommend you give it a try. We had several lunch specials which are a good value for $6.50 or so. We actually had enough for lunch and a light dinner. The key for me is light on the sauce. Most Chinese restaurants ladle on the sauce to appease the American palate but you'll find a lighter hand here. read more

So sad that this once wonderful restaurant has incompetent and snarky servers these days. In addition to the server issue, their dishes such as inedible fried rice and alleged chicken pad Thai dish (which did NOT have peanut sauce as the server stated the dish had) were awful. We were never offered an alternative replacement for these dishes even though we identified the issues with the servers. I was on spring break with my Mama in March and she always wants to go out for Chinese since Step Dad is not a fan. Naturally, I turned to yelp to see pictures and reviews. I knew Koyame was that place. You can get there by car of golf cart and it's so worth it. We walked in at 2:25 on a week day and the place was packed accept for 3 booths. Their food is very good quality like PF Changs quality for a greasy spoon price. The service is very good and the portions are very nice for the price. We had chicken friend rice a lil spicy and Thai chicken. The fried rice was a huge portion. My picture does not do it justice. It was in a mound on the plate formed by a sauce pan. Both were very tasty not greasy and great quality ingredients. The fried dumplings were some of the best I've ever had, maybe the best. Very very happy and will return. read more

Best Chinese in The Villages we have found. Others recommended Bamboo Bistro, but their hot and sour soup was terrible! Koyame has excellent hot and sour soup! They offer brown rice, and all the stir-fried dishes we have tried are excellent. Got Carryout once and noticed you get a lot more food than eating in at lunch, but there's enough on the pretty square white plate when you eat in. What a great bargain for such quality! read more

Have eaten here 3 times in past 10 days- first time for dinner, ordered from regular menu, second time lunch with really good pricing and 3rd time off of early bird where the combo dinners can't be beat. First of all it's spotless, second the service is exceptionally good and last but not least the food is excellent. Don't miss this wonderful Chinese and Thai food. My parents are becoming regulars here and I just went tonight with them. Nice presentation on the combo meals, good service, great fresh veggies in the Thai dishes, and good flavor across everything. A little noisy, and nothing fancy, but a welcome relief from the nearby chains. If you want to try something new and reasonably spicy, try the lemongrass soup with shrimp or chicken. Currently set up for takeout only, the way Koyame is handling pick-up and walk-up orders is fairly good except for the condiments, plastic ware and napkins all being exposed to whatever viruses customers may shed while they're there. There is no sneeze shield over any of these. So we didn't use them. Our entrees seemed freshly made and very hot. Flavor was moderately spicy on the spicy entree and too sweet on the non-spicy selection. We were glad the breaded entree wasn't too thickly breaded, nor was it dried out. In other words, it was breaded just right. Veggies were freshly steamed, which was nice. The spring rolls were tough outside and mushy inside, so they may have been refried. And the rice was at room temperature and stuck together in thick clumps. So it was a mixed experience. Generally, Koyame has better than average Asian fare for this area. Prices seemed a bit high, but portion size made up for that as each entree will provide a future meal for us. The biggest downside was that they use styrofoam containers for takeout orders and those melted on contact with the hot entrees. Had to take away a star for that. But we will try this place again in the future for different meals. read more

The first time that we ate at Koyame my wife and I each ordered meals that tasted okay other than being too spicy for our tastes, and they were reasonably priced. We decided to give it another try tonight. Bad choice. This time we each ordered Chicken Cow Mein because we never had Chicken Chow Mein that we didn't like, until now. It was tasteless even with soy sauce. Many people must like this restaurant as it was busy both times that we ate there. It is too noisy with the noise coming from the open kitchen. The food is fine, but there was a major Yelp fail.... I asked for sushi but this is a fairly standard Chinese restaurant. No sushi. I had Kung pow chicken, medium and there is very little spice.
