Stopped in for my first time, after seeing other good reviews here. Had a great experience from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by the owner and got immediate service! I had the Greek pizza which was light, easy to eat and made with fresh ingredients. I will be back very soon!

Nothing bad about it. The food is fine. It is standard diner fare. But my meat breakfast burrito itself was roughly $21. They charge $2 to put the scramble in a flour tortilla. The mimosa I had was of poor quality and was $11. My husband just did the breakfast tacos and a coffee. Our bill was over $60. Nothing was bad, but it's just far too expensive for the quality of the food. We can and have had the same meal of the same quality for $40 down the road at Stacks. It's a shame that some of the long term staples of the Portland area are pricing out the locals but until prices come down, can't really recommend it here

There was plenty of parking for us in the private lot to the right of the building. We were greeted and seated within seconds of walking through the door. There's a lot of sun exposure, for the window seats, choose wisely. LOL Our server Logan was great. He was friendly and personable. We asked him about the "weird" item on the menu and he agreed, he didn't understand it and has only seen one person order it. If you are curious about what I'm referring to, you will have to see for yourself. Unfortunately, no one in the restaurant had it, as I was curious to see what it looked like and why they ordered it. My friend ordered the classic eggs benedict that comes with homefries. I order THE Pancake with blueberries and a side of DELICIOUS bacon. Everything looked great and was presented nicely. My friend said her dish lacked some flavor, however, it was helped by the salt and pepper on the table. My pancake was gigantic - literally bigger than the plate it was served on. It was a heavy pancake - and it was thick. It was ok - definitely recommend the real maple syrup, even though it's an extra cost. I ate half of the pancake. I prefer fluffy buttermilk pancakes, this was more "bready". It was ok enough, where I wanted to bring the leftovers home. It's convenient, it's local, service is excellent! I would certainly return if I have time and am in the area in the future.

Did not try it during that due to it being later in the day and not needing caffeine later in the day. Then unfortunately due to their usual schedule being at the community center only Monday-Friday 6:30-11:30/12 has not worked out due to work. Finally a day off allowed my wife and I a chance to check it out. You'll spot the trailer as soon as you pull into the community center. They have a board with the daily breakfast sandwiches and the speciality lattes. All of them sound so good it was hard to pick! We each got a sausage egg and cheese on English muffin and they were tasty. Drink wise I got the Pumpkin Pie Guy and it was a fantastic pumpkin seasonal coffee! My wife got a wild cherry mocha they recently posted on their socials. She enjoyed it but did think the cherry flavor came through a little odd. Besides speciality lattes/coffees they also had normal coffees and some energy drinks with flavors available too. Overall very good coffee trailer, that is worth checking out! I wish my schedule could align with theirs better to allow me to grab a drink from them more often.

I parked behind Roots and realized it's a super cute place as I walked up. It shares the building with Green Tree Ministries. They might be one in the same? But they are definitely related. I walked in and saw all these books on shelves, and upon closer inspection, there was little cards in the shape of business cards that were for the taking. Each with a different Christian saying or a verse from the Bible. There was something for everyone. This wall of books goes between Roots Cafe and Green Tree Ministries... so I suspect. Well, I did grab a book ("Why Business Matters to God" by Jeff Van Duzer) and a iced Sugar Plum Latte (latte with a lovely purple blackberry vanilla foam). And I also got some chicken meatballs that were yummy and warm. The service was super nice. I thought the barista was so well hidden back there, though, I prefer when you can see the barista crafting beverages, I just find it neat. But that's okay, the ambiance of the place is warm. There is a huge meeting table, there is two different bar areas to sit, there's a couch corner, and tables. It's winter so I didn't see the outdoor seating, but I am sure it's neat. Food was good, coffee was great, service was kind, bathroom was super clean, parking was easy. I mean what's not to like? I LOVE that it's Christian. I felt so included and loved. I enjoyed the ambiance and the people around me. Some reading bibles and doing study, others just enjoying the good food. I also had a brownie that was quiet tasty.

The food was so flavorful, quickly prepared, and very creative with its presentation. Local sourcing and very high-quality ingredients. I wish I had taken pictures of the meal, but I was tired and hungry and just forgot. My burger and fries were spot on. The fries stayed crispy from the beginning to the end. The burger meat was fresh and very tasty. The dessert was next level, and I did get a picture before eating it, lol. My kids enjoy the things they get pretty much everywhere - pancakes, eggs, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, fries. Service is friendly and fairly quick. There are a couple things on the menu that I've been especially impressed with and they feel sort of hidden since pancakes are given such primacy on the menu and signage. The fried filet of sole is delicious. The fish is fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. Even my son loves it! The fried chicken is incredible - perhaps the best in the area. Perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. The coating is flavorful and crunchy without eclipsing the meat. I have had it a couple times as the chicken and waffle combo and it does not disappoint. However, today it was served with honey drizzled all over and I did not like that. It made it too sweet and too messy. Syrup would have been better, and I'd rather have dressed it myself. So I'd order it without the honey. I feel like it wasn't served to me like that previously. Weird. There are some good omelets on the menu but they're three egg omelets. My tummy just isn't big enough for three eggs, I'm afraid. So I tend to avoid getting the omelets.
