I had been wanting to come here for awhile now and I finally got to eat here last night. It was really good, albeit service is somewhat slow and relaxed. It was a Saturday night, so to be fair, it was very busy in there. We felt lucky to get a table without a wait. Our food was quite tasty. I had the fish tacos and others in my party also tried the pretzel sticks, the wood-fired pizza, and a burger. The blue cheese burger was soooo good and I wish I had ordered that too. We had a small bit of space left for dessert, so we tried the peach cobbler. Definitely shareable and I couldn't have eaten it on my own. The old Fashioneds were different for each round. The first round was weak and their wasn't much to it- there didn't seem to be very much liquid in there period, alcohol-aside. The second round was a more generous pour and there was more content in each glass. The seasonal caramel apple old fashioned was a reasonable price, but we found the original/traditional old fashioned to be better tasting. The ambiance is quite lovely with exposed brick walls and a warm, cozy pub-like interior. Our server was very nice. He remembered my son's name and it was a nice touch for him to address him by his name. When my son showed him what he drew/colored, our server said "you did a great job!" My son beamed. I had lunch at Kozmo's recently and it was delicious. The restaurant has a cozy, local feel and is easy to walk to from anywhere downtown in Massillon. I ordered the chicken parm and it was excellent and just the right portion for a cold winter day's lunch. My partner ordered salmon and the lobster bisque and enjoyed both, especially the soup. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Definitely recommend! And visit the nearby Massillon Museum sometime if you haven't already. read more

They executed everything cleanly. Meaning there were no weak spots in the meal. Amazing warm, crusty bread to start. Entree of grilled cod, cooked perfectly and tender with a Jamaican rub. Sides: Nobody goes crazy over brocolli but you have to try it here. The rice complemented the fish just fine. And a craft IPA beer was very good to top it off. Ordered French Onion Soup and Tuscan Pizza. Both were excellent. Buyer beware! The prices list here are incorrect. I order the soup listed at $4.99 and the Pizza listed at $14.99. When I arrived to pickup the items for carry out my bill was $28.92. They charged me $6.99 for the soup and $18.99 for the pizza. For this reason I gave only 3 stars. Management needs to correct their pricing, and train their staff on how to respond when this is brought to their attention. read more

First time at Kozmo's today (around 3:45) Overall give it a 2.5/5. The food took a while honestly. It wasn't busy at all at this time on a Tuesday and it took longer than I would expect. Once the food came I was a bit...underwhelmed. My chicken caesar salad with grilled chicken was a bit underwhelming in chicken volume and lettuce quality. Another person at the table ordered Steak Medium Well and it was a bit over cooked (she made herself enjoy it but was dissatisfied). The pizza and fish tacos were good though. Sweet potato fries were underwhelming as well (lack of volume and taste) And to top it off the pricing was EXPENSIVE for the food quality, location, and ambiance. Like $9:50 for a tall blue moon?? Very pricey. Our waitress was very kind and considerate though. Good employees! Fix the prices and quality of food :) Unfortunately will not be going back soon. read more

Nice restaurant in downtown Massillon and would definitely go back. I ordered the crab cakes and a cup of lobster bisque. The bisque was amazing and very meaty, it had a lot more actual lobster in it than most bisques I've had. The crab cakes were tasty, but honestly I've had better but they were still good and worth a re-order next time I'm in. My wife ordered the Chicken Piccata and not sure what the dish she actually got was but it wasn't a Piccata. Service was terrible seated quickly in a corner and forgotten about , maybe fifteen minutes later got our drink order for our table of 5 , and we waited and waited came back took our order then brought soup , french onion was good and bread quite awhile later the kids drank all their drink as we waited for at least 25 minutes for food I wish I would have taken a picture of my daughters little $22 pork chop it wasn't seasoned at all and she couldn't even eat it all with A1sauce she asked for to give it some flavor. My beer battered fish looked like no beer batter I'd seen or tasted before it was a a flat seasoning with a dill sauce that over powered the fish so I asked for tarter and was told the dill is the only sauce they have for the fish. The fries with it were greasy and tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile. The kids pizza and wings they said were ok and they drank plenty of soda since the food took so long . I've only been here a few times over the years. This time yesterday I had something excellent! Forgot to get a picture. I ordered chicken Parmesan. Simple dish to prepare at home. The breading was divine. It wasn't too thin or too thick. It wasn't processed tasting at all. The marinara sauce I loved. There were finely diced up tomatoes and onions with a depth of flavor. Then it had a thick layer of mozzarella melted over the chicken. Wow! This is something I would go out of my way to come back for. Great dish! read more

My husband and I went to Kozmo's for the second time since we moved to Massillon almost a year ago. The Great White Pizza we had the first visit was amazing! We decided to visit again tonight and it wasn't great. The service was excellent but I ordered what was supposed to be Cajun Chicken Pasta and was very disappointed in the dish. It's not a cheap meal either $21.99! The flavor was ok but I could barely find any chicken in it. I searched and came across a few TINY little pieces and that was it. The server talked to the chef who was adamant that there was 4 oz of chicken in it but there clearly wasn't. I know what 4 oz of chicken looks like and if I have to dig around in pasta to try to find the chicken then it's clearly lacking. The manager took 5 dollars off my meal but never came to talk to me about there being a problem with it. Very poor customer service in my opinion and I highly doubt we'll return there anytime soon. My husband's pizza was ok as well as the French Onion soup I had but the Cajun Pasta with itty bitty chicken pieces was not. This picture is what it looks like and in the top portion of the container are the chicken pieces I was able to find. First time here with a party of 8! First regardless! We were here about 12:20 or so. It was a bit busy, but developed into a very busy place! That was likely due to slow kitchen staff! However, it was Valentines Day! I am getting a head of the story! There is an open parking lot next door that can handle a city business lot! No fee first come first park for the local businesses! Seating was immediately (who would turn away 8?). The drinks was a little slow but reasonable! The food was a different experience! Meal to table took about 45 minutes! I ordered their fish and fries with coleslaw! Fish was small, but cooked fair! One was too over cooked! Coleslaw was tiny paper cup size and was basic water over not the dressing I had requested! The staff was friendly and filled our our glasses ( we can only nurse the drinks so long)! Restrooms were fairly clean as well as the restaurant! The lady cooking pizzas and some other foods is a hard working lady! They had her right next to a front door and looks like pizzas to go is a major business there. I may eat here again to see if the have better service, but will be unlikely! Try it yourself the prices are reasonable! read more

Came here with a group of eight for a Valentine's Day lunch. The building was once a hardware store according to one man in our group. The wood floors and brick walls added to the ambiance. Although it was also quite noisy. Service was rather slow but the server was pleasant enough. A wide variety of items are available, but we got there at noon and by the time our order was taken they were already out of the open-face meatloaf sandwich, the days "special". Several had to rethink their choice. Items ordered were: chicken Marsala, shrimp plate, grilled chicken sandwich, chicken parmesan, a calzone,beer batter fish and I had the Cajun chicken pasta. My pasta was spicy but not clear you sinus hot, with plenty of chicken and lots of sauce. (Glad I had the lunch size!). My hubby wasn't too impressed with his fish. One calzone was almost burned on the bottom which made it had to cut and eat. Others enjoyed their lunches. With the mixed level of happiness with the food and the slow service. (1/2 hour to take orders/ 45 min till food arrived) I'm giving Kozmo's only 3 stars, but I wouldn't mind trying them again on a less busy day and with out the group. To Kosmos some credit, they may have been trying to cater to their "regulars" and their business crowd, figuring that a group of seniors would be chatting and would enjoy a slower pace. read more

I wanted to love this place.. I really did..I have a soft spot for local businesses and I thought this restaurant was going to be a winner. Located in a historical downtown Massillon it's quaint, pub like atmosphere invites you in with its warm ambiance and nostalgic decor. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the food as I was the building. I decided to try one of their pizzas as the server said that's what they were known for. I ordered the Fire Roasted Tomato Basil - which was supposed to be fire roasted tomatoes with garlic and fresh basil. What I received was a pizza with sliced tomatoes and pieces of dried basil - the basil had no taste and the crust was chewy. My fiancé had the chicken sandwich which he said was "okay" - but not worth going back for. The service was excellent even for a super busy day - but I don't believe we would make the drive to go back. read more

We chose to try a local place one night during the pandemic and a Kozmo's was offered on the Uber Eats app. I had heard good things about this restaurant from local people and the food that was pictured looked wonderful. We chose to try quite a few items and share with each other. We tried the BBQ Chicken pizza which my tween son absolutely loved. He's a big BBQ sauce fan, and he said that the pizza tasted really good in general. We also tried the wings. The wings that they had came unsauced which my family loved because everyone could add their own sauces to their wings and everyone did choose something different. The wings were well done and had some crisp to them. We also tried a dinner salad with their house vinegarette which was very good and a Rubin sandwich. The Rubin was well done and not to greasy. I enjoyed their onion rings as well because they were done the way I like which is battered. I would definitely get Kozmos again, and would love to actually eat at the restaurant once we are allowed to again. read more

Surprisingly good fare! I honestly wasn't expecting much in the small town of Massillon, but this was a pleasant find. The hotel receptionist recommended it - 2nd choice was a rather run-down-looking and dubious Tex-Mex joint, so we were at the mercy of the receptionist. Kosmo's takes its namesake from the very same Kozmo Cramer - and touts on their menu other Seinfeld references such as the Soup Nazi for their - what else? - soup selections, and a Newman steak (hope this place didn't violate any copyright laws ... ). I started off with their french onion soup ("No soup for you!") which had a very good beefy broth, not salty at all, just enough bread to satisfy without soaking up the soup, and nicely gratineed cheesea which was browned using their brick oven pizza. Nice touch. We also shared some cajun-style chicken wings as an appetizer which were crispy and not oily at all. I had a beer-battered fish - also light and crispy - accompanied by fresh-cut french fries. A nice selection of local brews available too. Our waitress was friendly and on the ball. read more

Neat building...exposed brick decor. The stone-fired pizzas are delicious and it's fun to sit around the pizza bar. The Brie appetizer is to die for and the menu is diverse, with everything from tacos to grilled meats to burgers and pasta. The draft beer selection is excellent but the wine selection is just okay. This place gets unbelievably packed on weekend nights so get there early or go during non-peak times. I don't think they take reservations either. The last time I ate there, I had the shrimp tacos. A couple of the shrimps were a tad undercooked and the taco seemed a little plain and uninspired. The spicy pasta is good though, and so are the burgers. They haven't changed their menu in a while. I'd like to see them do an etouffee or a jambalaya or something. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I was really pleasantly surprised. I got their grilled chicken avocado sandwich and picked a local beer from their can list. On it's own the food is pretty decent, but for the price it's an excellent deal. I could see this being an excellent spot to grab a casual dinner with a group. Best of all, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very cozy and charming. On top of all that their Covid safety practices were very tight, which was reassuring. We used to eat here a lot and came back today after about 6 months away. Their battered fish used to be the best in town. When we ordered it tonite it was literally fish sticks like you get in the frozen food section at the store. The French fries were soggy and lukewarm. They need to step up their game. .
