Don't tell a waiting group of 5 you will have a table for them in 20 minutes, then after 40 minutes have gone by, say there won't be a table. Be honest up front. We won't be back. This place has always had its favorite people, and if you don't happen to be in that group, they lie to your face. We waited 40 minutes only to be told it would be at least another hour. First visit here and from the rating I wasn't to confident. The wait was about 30 minutes and the service was impeccable the only thing if you don't like a red sauce on the sweet side it's probably not for you but other than that I thought everything was very good. Stopped in for dinner recently and had a really enjoyable experience. The food was fresh, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The standout for me was definitely the crab cakes they were flavorful, and some of the best I've had in a long time. The Wedding soup was amazing as well! I'll start off with the positive. The scrod fish was amazing. I couldn't understand why anyone would put imitation crab strands in soup. It was texturally off putting. Could understand what Parkay was on every table. The bread was absent of salt. It would have been okay if I was in Italy. Chicken Parm was super dry due to being over cooked. The picture doesn't lie. I got the calimari con peperone. It's fried calimari with diced peppers, sliced onions, banana peppers, and black olives swimming in olive oil. I have no idea how they thought this worked together. However, the bourbon prices were shockingly high far beyond what you'd expect even at a nicer higher end restaurant. If you're going for the food, you'll enjoy it. Went to go eat with my fiancé. We decided we wanted to eat somewhere else but I already ordered a drink. Told the waitress she gave us attitude and then continued to ignore our table after I told her. I ended up walking up to the bar where I was greeted by the sweetest bartender I believe her name is Amanda, she was the best! Next time I'll be sure to sit in her section. If you work in the customer service industry then you have to be able to handle anything, even if it's a customer changing their mind. That makes me not want to come back. Have heard amazing things about this place and finally tried it. The parking lot on a Thursday night was packed, like only 1 or 2 spots available at 5:30 pm. Place was packed, but we were seated quickly. We did wait a bit to get drinks, even longer to order and even more for our food. The bread didn't make it out until we were almost done with our salads. It was good though. I tried the pasta sampler and husband got the scrod. Dish prices are on par with Olive Garden, about $18-20. However, portions are much smaller. The piece of fish was about half a palm size. With my pasta, it was literally one shell, 1/2 inch size of lasagna and one canneloni. I ended up giving half to my husband because he was still hungry, partially his fault because he got a side of veggies. The food itself was very delicious. Could tell sauces had been simmering. So flavorful. The restaurant itself was so loud. Like unbearably loud, you had to shout to be heard. We gave up on talking. We will definitely be back but only for takeout. read more

I have eaten here several times this past month and each time the food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the lemon chicken and Parmesan chicken. They give you large pieces of chicken along with two sides. They make their pastas and sauces from scratch. This is my go to for Italian fare. They also know how to barbecue some delicious ribs and chicken. Check out their ribs burn off the first and third Sat of the next several months. Just had my first negative experience at Palombo's after many great meals. Restaurant was not busy but the food prep was very slow. When the food was served, two out of three meals were not hot and had to be sent back for a reheat. Servers were great but kitchen did not cut it. I wasn't sure at first, but my sister talked me into in and I'm so glad she did. I almost ordered 2 days in a row!! It was so good I didn't even get a picture. I also ordered wedding soup, which was flavorful, but there was no pasta in it? Only meatballs. I was a little confused about that. It usually has some sort of pastina (small pasta) in it. I received the eggplant and it was definitely one of the better ones I've had. My wife had the scrod primavera which was a very large filet that came in a garlic oil sauce with plenty of fresh sautéed veg with choice of side. My wife enjoyed a baked potato but this would be great over pasta too! Friday and Saturday they serve a crab soup special that was to die for...I could see stopping for just a drink and a bowl of that soup. When you first walk in there is a large square bar that seems popular with the locals along with some casino games, music and Sports TV. The dining room has tables and booths. Great for large families or couples. We also noticed an outdoor dining area for those who prefer al fresco dining. I recommend checking them out, you won't be disappointed. read more

They're back! Not sure what was happening in the last few years. Lousy service, lousy food. Went there yesterday with a friend and service was excellent as was the food. We got 2 of the specials(always hesitate) and we both enjoyed. One got the short rib braised ravioli with balsamic glaze and the other chose the HUGE pork chop with baked potato. I had the pasta sampler- a mini lasagna, cheese stuffed shell, and stuffed cannelloni with a side of linguine. It was all good, sauce has nice flavor. My husband had the Strip stake cooked by Chef Dom Osborne it was cooked to absolute perfection one of the best steaks we have ever had. You will not be disappointed.
