If you're nervous about the dentist and even more nervous about finding a new dentist then this review is for you. My only regret was that I hadn't done it sooner. I didn't know the dentist didn't have to be stressful and painful. Exceptional care. All of the staff are friendly, courteous, patient and invested. It matters when someone cares and is passionate about their job. The office itself is relaxing and inviting. I understand why people are frustrated and untrusting of dentists. They can be like used car salesmen. That was not the experience or case for me here at KP dental. They clearly explain everything. They didn't try to hassle me or shame me into costly procedures. they were honest, patient and understanding. My previous dentist was ripping me off. He said that my insurance didn't cover anything so he could charge me cash prices at a "discount" or pull my teeth. So imagine how angry I was to find out that the previous 4 teeth he pulled would have been covered by my insurance had he ever actually used it. I'm so grateful that I'm not paying through the nose for half assed dental work I don't need. I'm so grateful to have found not just a new dentist but great new dentist. read more

I have been going to KP Dental for years. Everything was amazing until Dr. Molina went away. The new staff are rude and not helpful. They deliberately use dental codes not covered by the insurance company to overcharge their patients. Dr. Molina would never do that. The new staff are only concerned about lining their pockets, not truly helping their patients. I began going to KP Dental due to having extreme anxiety with dental visits. Dr. Molina and the entire staff made me feel safe and secure in their care. The new staff, especially the receptionist Maria, are rude. I called about a dental emergency and was initially told to go to a different dentist because the office was closed and the dentist was on holiday. I tried to emphasize that this was an emergency, and she called me back, stating they would get me in the following day. When the cost was discussed, I was told that the dental code that could be used would not be used, and that they would use a code my insurance did not cover. I asked why, and she flatly stated, That's not the code we use here. I stated that I did not have the amount they were going to charge; however, I do have insurance that would 100% cover the code that could be used. When I began to express my frustration with this office's billing practices and tried to explain that I had this procedure completed 4 separate times and was never charged, she became dismissive and talked over me. I told Maria to cancel my appointment. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO KP DENTAL. They are not a place I would ever recommend to anyone. I am so upset at the way I was handled and talked to. Where did Dr. Molina and the old staff go?!??! I kept going there because of them. I always hated the dentist. Dr. Molina has been the only doctor that can calm my nerves and explained everything thoroughly to me. He always greeted me and is so soft spoken. I used to be in and out of there quickly. The new staff are so aggressive and do not talk to me. The wait was so long. I was sweating in the chair...my anxiety was all over the place. My mouth felt like it was about to be ripped apart, I felt the drill, and the suction pinched my lips and poked the roof of my mouth and gums. I am once again scared to go back to the dentist. I really have mixed feelings about KP Dental. I still have to give a shout out to great receptionists. They always answer phone calls with great manners (I know it's sad but many dr offices fail on this). In fact, polite receptionists along with great reviews on Yelp made me pick this place as my HMO primary. One thing I do not like about this place is lack of transparency when it comes to their billing. I notice there is another review here mentioning the same issue, so it is just not me. For example, for routine checkup, my dental plan has no copay. It is clearly written my checkup is fully covered on the insurance policy, and I even checked in with my insurance company to make sure that is the case. However, KP Dental would just tell me how my dental plan is not insurance but a discount plan, and thus I have to make payment. When I needed a filling, the charge was much more than insurance estimate. I understand HMO is not a moneymaker for the practice, but you agreed to the insurance company. I went to other dentist offices with HMO plan before, and none of them has ever overcharged me like KP Dental did. I decided to switch dentist so that I don't have to feel like I'm getting ripped off. read more

I had been going to this office for years and all of a sudden began dealing with a Mayra and it all went down hill from there. she is rude and condescending. Their loss because my entire family of 6 went to that office. so crazy how their pride gets in the way and they are willing to lose a lot of money. BEWARE insurance fraud! I went to this location a few times and every single time they tried to charge me incorrect copay (we're talking $50 when my copay was $0 as stated on card). The last time I went end of 2021 they even dared to claim my employer insurance was terminated and wanted to charge me full price. Besides the typical scammy up-selling (clean every 3 months instead of 6, etc), basic cleaning/prophylaxis was standard/no issue. read more

Absolute unethical & fraudulent billing!! BEWARE!!! I had to have a tooth removed and was confirmed when making my appointment that it was covered by insurance. Even when I checked in the day of service this was confirmed. I get a call from billing department that I owe $400! She said it was "supposed " to be collected however not once did they advise that I would have to pay anything. Furthermore shaming me because I have an "HMO" plan. I read this in passed reviews and that was another reason to confirm. Clearly they take advantage of people because they do not speak up! Absolutely unprofessional, I asked to speak to the Office Manager and said that would be her, unbelievable. And refuses to pass the message along to the Dr. This has happened before and I learned my lesson to always ask and their due diligence is to advise what the payment would be before service is rendered. Then she threatened to send me to collections since it's so easy for them. I am contacting BBB and the board to report this. read more

First RED flag. "We checked your insurance" and they tell me I have a $25 co pay. There is no co pay with my insurance. When you pay they give you a receipt with a $ amount. I asked for an itemized bill. The code they put on there was not correct. I asked the dentist if they removed bone and he said no. The billing code said Bone removed. The next billing code did not exist per the insurance company. So if you want to over pay continue to go here. I will not go back even if they are the only place left. I got recommend by a coworker to come here and they are BIG TIME AWESOME!!! All the staff and doctor is extremely friendly and very talkative. The very first time i came in, I felt like I knew them for a long time. They made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I went to another dentist in Moreno Valley and they did a horrible job but I didn't know until I came here and they told me to go back and have the doctor fix my crown because he had already charged the insurance. You should also read the reviews for their other office which further details this issue. I was seen by this office for several appointments. They are super friendly and the dentist himself is a good dentist; however, after questionable interactions with their billing person I found out this office was charging me copays for procedures that my insurance covered and not billing my insurance for procedures performed but charging me the "copay" for them (which wasn't the actual copay. The billing person claimed that my insurance, Delta Dental, is not really dental insurance but a discount plan. It is dental insurance and if your office doesn't think the reimbursements are adequate, you should not accept it and defraud people. I was able to go to another dentist and receive quality care FOR the copayments listed in my insurance benefit booklet and an honest assessment of my needs that does not border on fraud. This dental office is the best place to go in all areas, the dentist is very good at what he does! I have always been anxious to get in until he started working on me, it has been by far the most pleasant experience, with no pain and no issues. I cannot express how grateful I am for the gentle work and quality care. The girls that work here are also so kind, always greeting with a smile and a great attitude. One day they were running 10 minutes late on getting me back and gave me a Starbucks gift card for the delay, how thoughtful. I went there because my tooth chipped and I need other work. When the exam was done, they told me that I need a root canal and they wanted to remove all my mental filling. Ok. I don't have insurance and I don't have credit. All I wanted is for them to fix my tooth which is causing pain. They wanted to charge me all the work which was 7000 dollars. I had a terrible experience with KP DENTAL. It took sevral weeks to get my 1st appointment. The dentist wanted to send me to a specialist because she saw a spot on my x-rays. I returned to KP Dental and saw another dentist there and was told I didn't need a specialist. But I didn't like the fact he couldn't do the work that day, but wanted me to come back a 3rd time. I'm used to going to the dentist and having dental work done the same day. I decided not to wait another couple of week because I had a broken crown. I asked for my X-rays so I could take them to another dentist and not be exposed to more radiation. I have ask at least 5 different times for my X-rays, each time being told the person handling them was out or unavailable and would call me back. I've been waiting over 2 months and still don't have my X-rays or a return call about them. My question is WHY, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM, THESE ARE MY X-RAYS AND BY LAW THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN TO ME, BUT THIS OFFICE WILL NOT. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
