This is a nice bookstore. Yes, it's your typical Barnes & Noble chain, but you can always count on…read moreit to have a good selection of each genre and is always fun to browse through. My husband and I come just to grab some books and read/skim them while enjoying a coffee. This Barnes & Noble has a nice big Starbucks attached (it's separate - so you have to purchase of leave B&N merchandise before going in) but it does make it nice to get a coffee and wander the bookstore. The one downside to this B&N is that a few months ago they rearranged a lot of the store to make room for games, Legos, movies, and a lot of non-book related things ... Kind of taking away from the whole enjoyment of a store just for books!

Every time I try and order a book to be on hold before it's released I never get a notification…read moreregarding its arrival. I called for over 2 weeks including the release date since the store is an hour away only to then be told I'd get an email when the book came in but it could be a week or two after its release. Seriously? Who wants to wait 1-2 weeks after a book you've already been waiting on gets released?! I ordered the book a month in advance. Never got that email, stopped calling, ordered the book the day before from Amazon and had it on my front porch the day it came out. Thanks for nothing Barnes and Noble. Also, you cost more.

Seems like the business model is centered around reselling scrap/junk parts. They had all the parts…read moreneeded for me to purchase a fully intact minifigure in good condition, but refused to sell to me (even though I offered to pay the difference) because it was more profitable to split the damaged pieces between two minifigures. The only way they would sell me the pieces I wanted was if I bought both incomplete figures. Bad business, especially when everything is already significantly marked up. Edit: Nina, your analogy is absurd and I am not going to even dignify it with a response. Despite your wall of text, you failed to recognize that the underlying problem is that you are pairing good parts with garbage parts as a means of forcing people to buy the trash if they want the good pieces. I actually did *not* want your junk - which is why I did not make a purchase and offered to pay MORE for the complete figure. You earned your 1 star review and I hope it was worth the $5 in prospective profit you made by refusing to sell the minifigure intact. Sorry that I was polite in my initial email (before you explained the intentional predatory practice of pairing damaged pieces with good ones). Final Edit: Nina, your excuse that you could not sell me the figure in "good conscious" because you didnt want to "rip me off" is laughable. selling things at a markup is your business model. there is nothing wrong with that. everything in your store can be found cheaper on Bricklink, but you guys are brick and mortar and need to make money. I get it. What does NOT make sense is that I could have bought both incomplete figures for $55, but you claim you would have had to charge me $60 for one complete figure without the damaged torso and hair pieces? the math does not add up and makes the predatory strategy pretty clear.

I have quite a few sets that are pretty sought after according to the gentleman who was working today . Trent was so helpful and he was pretty nice too. We chatted about what was coming soon and what sets were worth a bit more. The fact that sets still have value even if put together was great to know. I've had the Simpson house twice and found out that one happens to be very sought after. The prices are not outrageously steep. There are some other brick brands there as well. It looks like they have a room where parties are held but that was just a glance , I may be wrong. I think they have a great spot and it's a very unique place to come back to.
