Very cool place ! Tons of records cds books and more ! I could probably spend all day here. We came late in the evening so we are going to come back when we can spend some more time and of course pick up some more records for my "for the record Friday". Everyone was so kind and helpful and friendly to us. Everything is well organized into many different categories... I didn't even make it downstairs. Added to the list when we go back! Amazing selection of records; there are two levels with every genre that you'd want. Ample staff available to assist; the place is clean and well organized. Prices are high but you're supporting a business vs. online enterprise where you get no service whatsoever. There is also something special about perusing a good ol' fashioned record shop and feeling that vibe. They also have novelty items, record players for sale, etc. read more

I used to like this shop until I realized they're ripping off their customers. I bought a bunch of stuff here on record store day and then happened to be in Twist and Shout and Wax Trax later that same day to pick up some releases for a friend. The exact same releases were all over 30% cheaper at both of the other shops. Every single release was marked up like this, not just select ones. I wasted $100 shopping at Angelos just because they'd rather rip off their customers than adhere to suggested retail pricing. To top it off, they don't allow returns, only exchanges so choose your overpriced records carefully! read more

This is the kind of place in which I would have lost HOURS in my younger days. Great selection, and staff who know what they are doing. As they were ringing up our Record Store Day purchases on one visit, my husband chatted with a man behind the counter who may have been the manager/owner. He knew about all genres of music, and when my husband made a reference to a little-known hip hop act, he knew exactly what he was talking about. That's a salesperson who knows his industry! One of the larger music shops I've come across in my US travels in 2023. The mix of new, reissue, and used CDs and vinyls is expansive. Don't skip the vinyl and clearance CDs in the large basement space. Oh, and there's ample street parking, which is not the case with the record shops closer to downtown Denver. read more

Been coming here for a few years now, it was really nice if I didn't feel like going across town to Twist&Shout. The selection is pretty good most of the time, they sell bootlegs but they at least let you know it's an unofficial press unlike some stores. Recently bought a record that skipped on every. Single. Song. Thousands of dollars spent here, and when I have my first issue and need to do an exchange, I get an old white lady gaslighting me that "you couldn't have bought this here, the last sale in our system was in 2020", and when told I wasn't offered a receipt at purchase but I can show my credit card transaction from that day I'm condescendingly told that "that doesn't matter". I wasn't looking for a return either, just to swap it for a different $30 record. I'm disappointed, I really like this place but I've never had an issue like this at Twist & Shout read more

I've been shopping here for a couple years now, but I'm going to take my business to Twist n Shout or WaxTrax in the future. I ordered a record through the store for pick up and didn't receive a call for a month. I was patient and went to the store to speak with a manager on a Saturday. He was apologetic and kicked a small amount of the total price (still paid about $35 for the album)and he said he would put a rush in for Monday pick up. In total I waited a month and half for the vinyl. I called today (Saturday) and he said the record was in for pick up. At that time he said sorry and offered a refund. I said I appreciate it but a store credit would be cool if that's okay and that I would drive to the record shop now. He said yes. Before we got off the phone he told me that someone did call me after the weekend and left a message. No, I checked my messages and deleted msgs. No message. At the store I picked out a $37 record before going to the counter to pick up the ordered album. I was thinking maybe I'd get half credit on the album I picked out. Nope, they knocked off a total of $2. I just think they could have taken better care of a regular customer. If ever you need to order vinyl do so on the Discogs app. Better results. Probably should have done anyway, but I wanted to shop local. read more

This place is bigger than it looks from the street - there is a full basement where they house the majority of their vinyl selection. Their inventory is solid - was able to find a few older hip hop albums that have been on my list for a while. The downside is that their prices on new, sealed records is pretty steep. $26.99 seems to be about the cheapest they go, with many of the albums that caught my eye priced at $40 plus. On the bonus side, they have racks upon racks of used LPs that are priced to sell - this is where I see myself coming back again and again is to search for used finds, many priced at $10 or less. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not in your face. Weird selection of knives and brass knuckles in the back, too. Definitely worth a browse... read more

This is my new favorite place to shop for music. The selection is incredible and the staff is friendly and helpful. They double checked every CD I purchased for scratches and buffed out a few. One of the cases had the wrong disc in it, which I didn't realize until I got home. (The disc wasn't labeled.) When I brought it back the next day, the girl at the register was quick to apologize and let me exchange it for something that cost slightly more without paying the difference. Like others mentioned, there's a clearance section in the basement where every CD is only $0.99. I found six or seven albums worth at least a dollar. read more

I haven't been to an Angelo's since the days I cared more about CDs than the current Vinyl obsession I have. This one off Broadway, north of Evans is deceptively big. It has the main store upstairs with all the new shiny stuff and down in the basement is all the great used stuff! Lots and lots of vinyl, but I don't totally love the organization. It is a great place to go on a hunt for something you (don't) need. Staff was friendly and the prices were OK. We parked on the street, but that is the one knock (although not unexpected due to its location). read more

Rude clerk shooed me away right after walking in the door with boxes of nice CDs and DVDs to give away. I had emailed this shop to ask if they take these items and was assured that they did. Before I could even get to the counter to show what I had she told me "we're not taking CDs right now". I was polite and just walked out. Ended up taking them to Goodwill where maybe they will find a nice home. If pressed I'd have to say that the lady was sexist and racist toward me -- a white male. Never step foot in this crap hole if you can help it. They hate you! read more

I've been to both Angelo's locations, in both Aurora and Broadway and love them both dearly. This location was the very first one I had gone too thanks to my friend! This place is my paradise and it has such an amazing atmosphere! The staff has always been very kind and helpful to me especially when I get confused about stuff. The prices at Angelo's are definitely pricey but the vinyl industry is getting pricey right now so I completely understand! They carry many rare records behind the counter and I love sparking conversation about some of them because they are amazing works of art. I did want to mention that they are a two level business for anyone new, so if you have a wheelchair it's gonna be a bit difficult to get around but for the most part the upstairs has wider isles! I find that when I record shop and go to Angelo's they have more in stock of stuff I would like where as a lot of stores don't have much for me read more

Update: i returned for the first time since getting price gauged at RSD, the young gentleman downstairs was very cool, polite and kind. However the old lady owner was bitchy with me when I asked for prices on rare vinyl behind the counter. She did not want to get on the shelf and pull them to tell me the prices, and gave me a super hostile vibe. Then when I went to checkout she made a snide comment about my ID because she read the date wrong and thought it was expired. This is why I shop there but buy online elsewhere. If I am one of like 3 people in your store at least pretend to care or just retire. You pay people $10 for vinyl and then sell it for $80 - shouldn't THAT make you happy? read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars only for their selection. When it comes to prices for new vinyl this place is astoundingly over priced. Like 10-20% over what the actual retail cost of most records, if not more. For example, the new remastered Pink Floyd Division Bell on Blue vinyl can be found for ~$42 any and everywhere. Angelo's price? 54.99!! I'm fine paying a little bit more to support a local business if I know I could only get a certain record online and have to pay shipping, but even taking that into account most of their new vinyl is wildly over priced. I was greatly disappointed by this and it's why I walked out empty handed. read more

I had to find a last minute birthday gift for my girlfriend and being quite new to town i had no idea where to begin. I remembered seeing an ad for a place called headed west and thought they might have music memorabilia so I gave them a call. Unfortunately they don't, as the friendly voice on the line informed me. They told me I should head to angelo's, and I'm sure glad they did! The people there were happy to help me brainstorm a thoughtful gift based on my gf's interests. I found her a great album, also found a couple cool stickers and a cool figurine, she loved them all! Especially helpful was the manager guy (I forget his name). Came here on Black Friday after I struck out at Twist and Shout on Record Store Day. They had what I was looking for though it was $5 more than Twist and Shout. I didn't mind paying the "convenience fee" because I got what I wanted without having to resort to ebay. It's a great alternative to standing in the long lines and pushing and shoving to get to the bins and fighting the crowds on Record Store Day so I will keep this location in mind. We also discovered a hidden cache of laserdiscs downstairs and they were all very reasonably priced $1-$3 per disc AND they were buy 2 get one free. I got an entire days worth of movies for less than 10 bucks. This Angelos saved the day on Record Store Day and turned my frown around. read more

I haven't been to other Angelo's locations, but this is the one I grew up with, back when it was on Littleton BLVD. To me this place is very much legend. For the prices, too, it has some of the best selection you can find. It's a great place to pick up an extra copy of something on the cheap. They just have so much stuff used, it's great. Sometimes they even have some of the metal I'm looking for, also a huge plus. They also have tons of vinyl for all you vinyl junkies. read more

They helped me look for some that I really wanted to replace right away and then helped me find one that is not available new anymore. They ordered it for me. The customer service was awesome!!
