Nice dinner with my son. Yum!
Carmen M.

Yummy food. Fun experience cooking your own food, that's what you pay for. But not bad. Come hungry all you can eat (with limits) The appetizer/dessert not the reason to come here. Ice cream storage deceiving. You see all kinds of ice cream photos on the side of the freezer and when you look inside, there's the little ice cream cups from BJs or Costco and only strawberry. Little plastic spoons for it but we had to use forks and butter knife for it. But it was funny, my son and I got a nice laugh. Makes sense since it's all you can eat, you should be eating the meat not the crappy apps and dessert! Do recommend if you haven't tried it.

this is the second time that I have gone there both times I got the prime biscuit and it was as tough as shoe leather. You get dessert at the end which is ice cream and they do have a bar. Service was very good. She explained everything we had to do, booths were comfortable.

Amazing experience at KPOT Hazlet! My family had such a great time dining here. The food was incredibly fresh, and there was plenty of it. Everything from the meats to the veggies was top quality. They also had a few drink specials that were great. The staff were excellent as well. Friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. If you're looking for a great hot pot and Korean BBQ experience in the area, KPOT Hazlet is definitely worth checking out. We will absolutely be coming back!

KPOT is a great option if you are hungry and have like 3 hours to truly utilize the all you eat. If you don't have time or if you are not hungry then the price won't be worth it. The food is good and I enjoyed the broths and the meats that were marinated. However, if the meat didn't have any marinade on them then they didn't taste like anything. I would come back again if I had time and I was hungry to cook and eat 4 plates of spicy pork bulgogi.

I recently came here with my family, my kids are 6 and 8 and we had a great experience. The dining room is clean, and they had the AC blasting to keep it cool and comfortable. Our server was named Mason and he was very thorough in explaining how the experience works and in directing us to the sauce and appetizers bar. Mason was kind and courteous and we recommend him for any family coming in. The other great thing I wanted to point out was the variety of drinks, plus the fact they have a bar and serve alcohol. I think this place is great if your group is hungry. Little kids are also worth it because they have fries and nuggets plus they can get Korean BBQ.

How you order.

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is both of my nephew's favorite restaurant. They have been here before and asked me to come here a few times since they opened this location. I think that they went to other locations too. I am normally not crazy about all you can eat restaurants or cooking my own food when I got out to eat but this has been a great experience. This place was super busy we had a wait time up to 40 minutes when we came here around 6:30pm but we got in earlier. Since this was my first time here I let my nephews take the lead. We did both hotpot and Korean BBQ. The waitress was fantastic she took our drink and soup orders. They offered 8 different types of soups for their hotpot. I ordered the Miso soup and it was a perfect choice for me. Then we went up to check out their sauce bar which was impressive. All types of Asian sauces, plus instructions on how to create specific flavor sauces. There was also and appetizer bar with fried rice, fried shrimp, fried chicken wings plus more. I went directly to their chicken wings which were delicious it was all you can eat and I was reminded to pace myself :-). Their were different types of meats, seafood, soybeans, vegetables, and noodles. I went directly to the vegetables for the soup and my nephew's did the rest of the ordering and they did a great job. We had so many different types of meats and noodles. Some were for the Korean bbq and some were for the hotpot. We made all of our orders thru their iPad. Everything was streamlined. Select what you want on their i-Pad press send and a few minutes later your order comes out. All orders come out in a small plates. You can order as much as you want but you will be charged if you don't finish everything that you order. For desert they had fruit and ice cream available. Of course I had to get the ice cream which were small cups of the standard flavors (strawberry, chocolate and vanilla). I really enjoyed the whole process and would definitely do this again.

3.5/5 As someone who doesn't eat a lot usually, this all-you-can-eat experience was really fun! I love hotpot and Korean bbq is also pretty good so combining both together was a very cool idea. I loved how spacious it was, the booths are very cozy. You're limited to 2 hours for this AYCE, which I thought was ample. You choose either/or, or both for $5 extra. You get your own personal hotpot bowl and a big grill in the center to share. As for ordering, you have to tell them what soup base you want for your hotpots, and everything else can be ordered on the iPad. Don't worry about not knowing how long to cook what, there is a quick reference guide to the side! FOOD: 4/5 There were so many options of meats (lamb, beef, chicken, pork belly, bulgogi, ribs) and veggies, seafood, appetizers to choose from. I chose the tomato broth, no regrets there. There's a sauce station with so many different options. I enjoyed their kpot sauce! I thought it was delicious, towards the sweet side, a little tangy. They have some appetizers (fries, fried shrimp, forgot what else) and fruits (watermelon, melon, cantaloupe, orange) as well as ice cream you can take to go (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, coffee). SERVICE: 3/5 A couple of things that were a little odd to me, having had lots of hotpot back home and kbbq before - 1. Our grill was so dirty and charred towards the middle, it's a little surprising that it wasn't changed at all. Usually at other kbbq places, they just change it out for you every once in a while. 2. This goes for the broth as well, my tomato broth was at least 1/3 to almost 1/2 gone and I had to request for additional broth to be added. But here's the catch, they don't add broth! They add hot water... doesn't that dilute the base? How does that work? I've never had that happen before at a hotpot place. Usually they add more of your broth. 3. So we told our server (who was very nice) that it was our first time here, and she made lots of recommendations and showed us how to navigate the iPad. However, she sent our cart to the kitchen without letting us finalize the options! This kinda threw us off for a bit because we weren't really given a chance to tell her we didn't want something or even look over her finalized list. While this is AYCE, everyone has different preferences and I feel like before she sends the list off, she should've let us look it over. Note that any extra food you don't finish, there is a surcharge. 4. It took a while for our dirty plates to be cleared although I had already neatly stacked them on the side of our table.

HotPot - Herb Broth

We tried this restaurant as it was new in the area, and we love K-Pot. We didn't have expectations when we walked in here. The restaurant had nice decor to welcome us in. When we came in, they asked if we're doing hot pot or k-bbq. We were brought to a table to be seated, and then left with an ipad. Our table, who has not been here before, were sort of confused as to the process and a bit overwhelmed. I went back up to the front of the restaurant and asked them to find our waiter, to have them come explain to us what the process is for this. Once explained, I asked if there's a time limit between ordering, which I was told no, and then when we placed the first round of orders and went to hand it to the next person to order theirs, it was locked and someone had to come unlock it for us so we could keep ordering. The table has individual stoves for each person on the table for hotpot only, and only one cook top for k-bbq. I do think it would be beneficial since we have cooktops for each person to have an option to cook the bbq individually. This made it somewhat difficult for meat / vs / fish eaters, etc. but not a huge deal. They did come about halfway through and ask if we wanted the tabletop changed which we did. The food was all good quality here, and very tasty. We enjoyed everything we ate and the variety of items available for the dishes. Once we got rolling with the process, it became easier to navigate and we had a nice time, despite the hiccups at the start. They could use a few more options for dessert, but what they offered was nice.

This has become our favorite date night spot! And I think as the months get colder we will be coming even more for cozy hot pot yumminess!

The granddaughters upon arrival

Went with my 2 granddaughters to KPOT in Hazlet for lunch. We had such a great time. They loved doing the ordering on the iPad and trying to determine what to order. We wound up with a bit too much food but, hey, we will know better next time. The service was quick. The food was fresh. We overcooked some of the meat but, hey we will know better next time. They really enjoyed cooking the food themselves. I had the spicy beef and it was delicious. We all had rice and ramen. We could have shared 2 portions of rice and it would have been plenty. I also went up to the counter for sauces. There was a HUGE selection. We were very comfortable with the table. It's sort of private the way it's set up. We definitely will go back.

The place is also very nice, bright and clean. The servers have always been very nice. However, be prepared to wait a little bit as when I went, Hannah was the only one serving, cleaning, and also taking takeout orders, all while smiling. She was an absolute doll. Now to the food. I've had a pretty decent experience here with the food. One item I was not a fan of when I first visited was the noodles with peanut sauce. I however, loved my soup dumplings. Second time around I ordered the regular dumplings and those were very good. I've also ordered their fried rice, which tasted good and the portion was good for me. Another time I ordered wonton soup to go. Well packed, fresh and plentiful. Had to eat it in my car as I didn't want table service. On this visit, I ordered the UD Sampler Soup Dumplings which consisted of 6 dumplings as follows: Pork, chicken, pork & crab, pork & truffle, pork, shrimp & Spinach, and Szechuan pork. The Szechuan pork is spicy and pretty good. My favorite. I wasn't a fan of the truffle nor the shrimp spinach. The liquid was also missing. I've had their soup dumplings before, and these were more like potstickers because there was just meat inside, but there was no liquid. I ordered the shrimp stir fried noodles. It was ok. Kept tasting something that was off. Maybe the cabbage. -1 star. Desert was a peanut butter bomb, a small round, 2-3 inch tall cake the size of a little muffin. Cost $12 plus an additional $2 for tip. It tasted good but it was overpriced. I felt cheated. -.5 star for the price. Now I had an issue when ordering the dessert. Minor, but annoying and need to understand why I was not allowed to add the dessert after having placed my food order, which I had not yet paid for. I was told that I needed to order it separately if I wanted to take it to go. I don't know how different it would have been if I had ordered it as part of the meal, gotten full, then have it packed to go. No difference. Zero. So keep this in mind. -.5 star. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more dishes like the pork chops and wings as well as their beef soup. I may skip dessert.

Place is cozy, people were coming in and out with to go orders.

Everything's made-to-order, so don't expect grab-and-go fast food. Food was still steaming by the time we made it home. The chicken tasted seasoned to the bone. We tried about 3 sauces and really loved them all. We thought the soy honey and sweet & spicy gave a really nice tang to the chicken, without being too overpowering. And of course, even sauced up, everything stayed nice and crispy. Even my in-laws (who are boomer-level picky) liked it. Will definitely be heading back there soon.

The chicken was so juicy and fresh, even the tenders, and it had the right amount of crisp without being overly battered. I got the soy garlic and sweet and spicy, and both sauces were really tasty and had me wishing I got extra for dipping. The sweet and spicy was definitely my fav, but it could have been more spicy. The box for the family set was so sturdy and nice, and the amount of food you get for the price is incredible. Even the fries that come with the set were nice and crispy without being overly greasy. The employee at the front was also so nice and welcoming. My expectations were nonexistent going into this since food options on the island have been a little bleak, but I'm absolutely blown away and will absolutely be a regular.

I saw some mixed reviews for Teak before we went, and after reading through quite a few of them, my…read morebest guess was that most of the complaints were tied to a nightclub-type vibe on a possible rooftop bar rather than the restaurant itself. We showed up hoping to snag bar seats, but it was busy and honestly a little warm for my liking. I know, I know, after the winter we've had, I have absolutely no right to complain. Either way, we ended up in an outside room with all the windows open to the patio and it was genuinely perfect. Our server Julie was fantastic. Attentive in all the right ways, including the kind of attentive where she noticed us glancing around and came over to check on us. We weren't actually looking for anything; we were just scoping out the space. Still, I appreciated the hustle. My partner ordered a gin martini, extra dirty; I went with a prosecco. Both came out cold and fast. We ordered edamame, lotus buns, the pear and crispy goat cheese salad, and the aburi roll. The edamame were solid. Nice pop of lime, though I could have used a heavier hand with the salt. The lotus buns were a revelation. Two pillowy bao buns, each stuffed with a generous slab of slow roasted pork belly glazed in hoisin, with a pickled cucumber tucked in alongside it. I'd never had anything quite like them, and the balance was what got me: the brine and snap of the pickle cutting right through the sweetness of that glaze. Really well thought out. The aburi roll was tasty; nothing jumped out as the star moment, but everything played nicely together and it went down easy. And then there was the salad. Oh, the salad. I could eat that salad every single day of the week. Crispy fried goat cheese medallions on a salad is basically a guaranteed order for me, so that's what reeled me in initially. But once I actually started eating it, I forgot all about the goat cheese. Mixed greens, thin pear slices, halved grapes, spiced pecan halves, all dressed in a honey mustard vinaigrette that was genuinely outstanding. I've already started thinking about how to recreate it at home, which is the highest compliment I can give a salad. Teak delivered across the board. Don't let the rooftop reviews scare you off from the restaurant itself.
