Stopped by this coffee shop while vacationing in Maui and I am so impressed! The exterior of the shop is like any type of truck style coffee shop. It's drive thru style and very convenient! We were greeted by 3 lovely baristas and they were sooo helpful in finding the order for me! My order can be difficult (sorry to all the baristas :( ) where I'm so particular on my milk/sugar/coffee ratio and they were able to get it perfectlyyyy. I ordered an iced double shot espresso W/ simple syrup and 2% milk. They didn't even have 2% but was still able to manually make it for me!! I am so appreciative of doing the extra mile for my drink. + points for using iced coffee cubes to make sure the drinks aren't watered down either! I highly recommend! My bf got a triple shot latte and it was so strong and very yummy too! read more

Really close to the airport and a drive thru service. Though it was a bit sweet, we still enjoyed the mocha wao and pina colatte. It's also really close to Costco and a bunch of food trucks so you can definitely walk over if drive thru isn't your thing. read more

The Pina-Colatte might be the best coffee drink I've ever had ever. 11/10. You can taste the flavor and they meld it so well with the coffee. I got it multiple times in our time in Maui and it was consistent across different Kraken locations. The Kihei Kicker was a bit more acidic, just not my preference. read more

Really great coffee truck locate across the street from Costco. One side of the truck if for drive through, and the other side (facing the street) is where you can get out to order. They have a pretty extensive menu, so something for everyone! I got a cold brew with sweet cream, which was perfectly sweet. You can add a little extra to turn a drink into a frappucino, which was perfect for my dad who likes his coffee on the sweeter side. Coffee didn't taste too watered down and we asked for less sugar, which ended up being perfect. There was only one person working but fortunately it wasn't too busy when we went. read more

Many options to choose from. Friendly staff and service. We usually don't get coffee from here but we love their smoothies! It's a must for us everytime we stop by here. Location is a drive thru style, just be attentive on the road, area can be busy with traffic. read more

This drive thru Kraken location is close to the airport and Costco in Kahului. The barista working this morning was very friendly! She made my Haleakalatte and my boyfriend's Kraken dirty chair very well. Strong coffee flavor, wonderfully sweet! Fair prices! Support local! No seating as it is a grab-and-go business. read more

This was my first coffee stop of our trip when arriving in Maui. It's conveniently located near the airport, Costco and Food truck spots. I Loved the fact that it was a drive up/drive through. Didn't take my husband and I long to figure out what we wanted. I got the iced Mocha Wao and my husband got the Pina Colatte. The guy serving us was very friendly and we got our drinks pretty quick. I happily sipped this driving drink on our way to the hotel and wanted to cry at how good the quality of coffee is here. I tried my husbands drink and it was so good. I was torn between the two lol. We were very happy with our experience and look forward to stopping by the next time we make the trip :] read more

why have I not tried this sooner. There's an option for coffee ice so your drink doesn't get watered down and workers are super nice. Espresso honestly one of da best I've had. $6.50, honestly not bad in this cafe economy LOL. 16oz has 2 shots and 20oz has 4 SHOTS (ya I dropped my jaw too). I went with 16oz White Mocah Lavender Latte: 9/10, only took a point off because it was on a bit of sweeter side so next time I think I'll ask for a lil less syrup read more

It was our first morning in Maui and we needed a cup of Joe starting the Road to Hana. I did some research looking for coffee spots on the way and Kracken Coffe Maui was on our route. They also have other locations throughout Maui as well. Little did I know this was a trailer selling coffee. Throughout the week I found this is about the norm on for alot of businesses. What's cool about it is you drive right up to the trailer, check out the menu and get your drinks in a fairly quick manner. The super nice young lady taking our order was very pleasant and gave us great recommendations. I was looking for all things Hawaii on this trip and the drink that called out to me the most was the Mocha Wao. You can get it iced or hot. It was described as a white chocolate macadamia nut latte. This drink was absolutely delicious. What I found throughout my stay is that the local coffee is strong, but not overly bitter. It packs the pick me up you are looking for in your morning coffee. The chocolate notes were subtle, but the nutty flavors were definitely tasted. Everybody in my ride loved their drinks. I made it a point to try different spots for every drink or meal but I was very close to coming back. I will definitely be back next time I am on the island! read more

It was a great experience from start to finish. I ordered the Kihei Kicker, and it was amazing perfectly balanced and not too sweet, with a nice boost of energy that lasted throughout the morning. The person taking my order was super kind, upbeat, and took the time to explain a few of the drink options, which I really appreciated. Incredible baristas - Great coffee - Coffee ice cubes Heard from locals this was a great food truck spot and that this coffee was a must get. Low and behold, they were right. We didn't know what to try, our barista was an absolute queen and hooked us up. We ordered the mochawao iced coffee, the coffee came with coffee ice cubes! Nice sweet treat on a hot day. Kraken Coffee quickly became part of our morning routine during our visit to Maui. This location was the first one we happened upon, but there are multiple Kraken Coffee trucks around. We were in search of a quick but good cup of coffee and Kraken seemed to hit those marks. You have the option to walk up or drive thru to order your fix. I tried the Mocha Wao and Pina Colatte (which isn't on their menu anymore but they will still make one if you ask!) -- both were decaf since I'm watching my caffeine intake. I thought the Mocha Wao would be too sweet but it was actually delicious. The Pina Colatte was the one that took us all by surprise. It truly tasted like if you had a mash-up between a latte and pina colada. Sounds weird at first, right? But the creaminess of the coconut and bright notes of pineapple made every sip a tropical coffee heaven. If you like pina coladas (and getting caught in the rain?) and coffee, try it out. A great stop for anyone looking for quick and delicious coffee to-go. read more

First of all it wasnt busy outside, two people together in front of me. They ordered a quesadilla, banana bread, small latte and medium latte, their total was 12$. Sis working today messed up, they scored free stuff. I'm trippin the lady is trippin and doesn't say nothing. They converse and talk story about where they're from and stuff and she even offers coffee ice for their cold drink. It takes 25 mins for all of this with two workers. I'm next up order two drinks they don't ask me about my day or nothing my total is 11$ I'm like okay she can math now. I don't get offered coffee ice for my cold drink nothing. For one I'm not white, I'm local, everyone that got good service was white meanwhile me. I'm like okay no big deal. Guy behind me gets friendly service asked how his day was with smiles, that's some BS. Racism at its finest. If you're not white, don't come here you'll get treated with bad service. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Their box they work in needs work on pricing too and the menus need to be re done the seating area was average for ambiance. read more

Great stop for a coffee pick me up on a layover! An early flight left me tired and I can never sleep on the plane, plus adjusting to the time change was tough. I needed some caffeine and saw this place and decided to try. The lady that took our order was so sweet and helpful while trying to decide what to get! This place also has a drive through, which is way cool! I ended up getting the MoChawao with dark chocolate instead of white chocolate, and my boyfriend got a coco mocha! They were both delicious and I wish we had one here in Vegas! If I find myself in Maui and needing a caffeine boost, I'll definitely find myself here! read more

Best coffee I had on my trip to Maui! Located in the parking lot beside the Courtyard by Marriott hotel and Costco along with a few other food trucks, you'll find this walk up and drive thru coffee stand. Of their five signature drinks, I ordered the Kihei Kicker and man was it good! Bold shots of smooth, roast-y espresso with Irish cream swirled throughout. If I was staying closer to the area, I for sure would've came back each day to try the rest of their drinks. The walk up window is on the side with the grass that's closest to the road. I've had their coffee before but never wrote a review until now. We stopped in for coffee yesterday morning after an appointment. I'm a brand new mom who is super sleep deprived who can't drive or lift anything heavier than my baby for awhile so yesterday's cold brew really hit the spot. It was my first great tasting coffee that made me feel somewhat normal again after having my first baby. It was just what I needed. I had a cold brew with little bit of mocha and I honestly forget what else but I remember I wanted it on the strong side. My sweetheart had their Kihei kicker. He likes their coffee too. Kraken coffee is a small food truck that has lets you drive thru and order right from your car--super convenient! I came here twice when I was visiting Maui and ordered the nitro cold brew on tap both times and added a bit of cream and sugar. This was actually one of the best cold brews I've ever had and I really enjoyed it! As with most nitro cold brews, the coffee itself tastes super velvety and smooth. It was decently caffeinated as well and gave me the energy I needed. The person taking our order and making our drinks was friendly. Every time I came, there was no line and they made our drinks quickly so we were on our way in no time. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service my daughter and I experienced at Kraken Coffee today. The worker was not only rude but completely unprofessional. When my daughter, who is just learning to drive and gaining confidence, pulled up to pay, the worker gave her the total but then walked away as she got her card out. When the worker returned, she slammed the credit card terminal on the counter and told her she had to get out of the car to tap her card. Since when does a drive-thru require customers to get out of their cars? This was an incredibly frustrating and embarrassing experience for my daughter. The workers at Kraken need to remember that customers come for both the product and the service. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. read more

It doesn't matter which location I go to or what time of day, the staffs energy is always top tier.. but along with their superior staff, their coffee is sooo smooth. I have yet to change up my order but I can't get over how good their dark chocolate mocha is with macadamia nut! Not to mention they have coffee ice cubes to prevent your coffee from getting watered down, how thoughtful is that!? Don't forget to ask for a stamp card if you plan on returning, which I bet you will! I had this coffee before we started our trek to Road to Hana. This coffee shop is actually a cute truck located in a little truck food hall area next to a hotel. The people working at the coffee shop were so sweet and made sure that we were satisfied with our drink options. The coffee is a little on the pricey side, but it's also expected when you're in Maui. KRAKEN COFFEE is still good after another visit. KRAKEN COFFEE is a truck on one of two food truck lots across the street from Costco. This coffee truck has a drive thru. KIHEI KICKER is awesome! CHOCOLATE EXPLOSION is very yummy. They must use good chocolate in the MOCHA because it's pretty good. Latte was not milked down. read more

One of your employees made a noticeably negative comment, saying, "Well, did they tip us if they gave a large order?" This was said loud enough for us to hear. For your awareness, we did leave a 30% tip. Our family made the choice to support local and were excited to do so, but this behavior was both disappointing and inappropriate. It left us with a negative impression of the service and the culture at this location. read more

I stopped by for some caffeine before my flight. I got a 16oz iced Kihei Kicker. The coffee was so creamy, and it had a good amount of sweetness. It was kind of expensive though, about $6-7. They do have a cool concept of a mini drive thru for when you don't want to leave your car. If you want to order by walking up, just go on the other side of the truck. read more

Decent coffee, expensive (but everywhere is), and foam top wasn't up to standards for coffee shops (thin and no flavor). There was a lot more on the menu we didn't try so there may be some hidden gems. read more

I decided on a simple smoothie so I got the Keiki Smoothie with Banana, Strawberry and Apple Juice. I asked the waitress what sandwich is the most popular and she said the Turkey Pesto Melt and boy did that hit! It really was the BEST sandwich. It was on a crispy, flaky...and might I add...buttery croissant with thick slices of turkey, tomato, creamy pesto aioli and melted provolone! It came with some chips and dill pickle on the side. The only downside was the price-it was about $17 so I'm sure I'll treat myself once in a good while to this. My small smoothie was $8 but refreshing nonetheless. I love the vibes inside with hanging plants and art work throughout. There was someone doing remote work or school in the corner with her sleepy golden retriever next to her, a few locals outside and some visitors inside. The workers are friendly and I saw one clean the outside tables right away after a few parties left. A nice spot to hit up for some nice breakfast, lunch and a coffee with a friend.

Without the internet or a recommendation, I don't know how anyone would find this spot. It's in a little commercial area and is tiny inside. They have maybe six tables of various sizes and a bar along the windows. It's literally a mom-and-pop place, just an auntie and uncle running it, her in the front, and him cooking in the back. They have a fun eclectic collection of collections including money and map pins from around the world. She was super friendly in the front, sharing about all the things she's collected. Their menu is simple, pretty much eggs and meat. Everything is cooked to order and simply delicious. Coffee is a blend including locally sourced beans. Prices are reasonable but I wouldn't say cheap. It also seemed popular for large to go orders. It's worth checking out.

From the moment I walked up, the staff was welcoming, patient, and happy to answer questions about the menu. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. I ordered a bunch of matchas to try. The drinks was smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Nothing fancy, just really good food and coffee done right. Not a lot of sitting area but that's cause it's more of an order and go type of spot. Overall, it's a great local coffee shop with good people, good coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

They have a pretty big menu with lots of drink options. They have coffee, tea, frappes, espresso frappes, hot chocolate, Italian cream sodas and smoothies. All their brews are freshly roasted in Maui. I like a good latte and their signature Luxe Latte looked like the move for me. It had vanilla and raw Maui honey. I got it iced as the sun was shining bright that morning. I love that they present it with a little chocolate coffee bean on top of the drink. It's like a bonus. First sip of the drink and I was in love. You can taste the quality coffee along with the raw honey and vanilla. They definitely use quality ingredients here. If hunger strikes, they do have pastry options which I am not sure if they make on their own or source it from somewhere else. This was one of many coffee stops while we were vacationing in Maui, but it was one of my favorites as well. I would totally come back next time!

I fly out today and stopped on my way to the airport and they were out of Mac nut so I got coconut and it did not disappoint. Every coffee I have tried here tastes really good. The women working now how to make a good latte! It's not too sweet, I can taste the flavor, and I can still taste the coffee. Will definitely miss this spot. Highly recommend!

The reason we visit here is for their mochi. The mochi is some of the best I've ever had, and I have been to Japan to try theirs. The flavors are chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and azuki bean (red bean). I'm not a peanut butter fan nor chocolate, so I just ate the red bean mochi. The mochi is so soft and the red bean filling is not too sweet and filled with a good amount of it. Since it is a family business, the hours are fluctuate constantly.
