I've followed them on Instagram for years and they always post their Mo Joe Monday Drink Specials which tend to be $4-5 & on Thursday's, they also have a Special Drink promotion too for the same price. It could be Ice or Pure Blended Drinks but they do change it up seasonally. Today it was a $4 Large Lemonade so I got my favorite, Lilikoi! Crushed Ice and that perfect amount of tartness make it so refreshing and who can beat a $4 Large Drink on Maui?! I think they charged me $3 today! I'll take it lol! The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I'm not sure what I was expecting but as for my first experience to this location. I'd have to say it was like one of those escape rooms. Excited to try something new just lost in the process. Only because I knew where it was supposedly located based off of google maps. If you go like you're heading to foodland & drive to the front entrance. Take a right, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is at the end. We were about to park in front when I saw they had a drive through. We almost turned left skipping the ordering part & going straight to pickup window. So instead you have to turn right to loop back into the parking lot to order. Plus it seemed like the speaker had a bad connection since it was difficult to order. Asking for a frozen, blended matcha was heard as an iced matcha. Once we confirmed the frozen blended part she asked if I wanted whipped cream. I said yes & that was the end of the order so we pulled up to the window to pay. I was kind of bummed when I saw the drink. It was in a plain cup with no logo or whipped cream. However the drink itself was delicious. To me it kind of tasted more like a blended vanilla ice cream shake with matcha powder mixed in to give it that delicious flavor I love so much. My next visit will be in store so I can check out the atmosphere & see if there's anything else I want to try. Plus maybe something my guy might want to try too. Drive through and get your fav drink! Mine is the Chai tea latte, iced, blended, with whip cream. I tried to get this same drink at Dutch Bros in the mainland and it was terrible! I also wasn't familiar with Dutch Bros so maybe I ordered it wrong. I wish they had more locations on the mainland until then I just have to look forward to coming here. The staff are very helpful here if you have questions on your drink. I've also had no problems ordering at the drive through. I come here all the time because it's close to my house but they take FOREVER. I got one ice latte and it took me 20 minutes in the drive through when there was only one car ahead of me. The girl at the window had no multi tasking abilities and didn't take my card until the drink was ready 10 minutes later. she was telling the people at the intercom to wait as she stood there doing nothing. I'm not sure whats up with this location if they don't have drive times or what but be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes in the drive thru no matter if someone's in front of you or not. read more

Rarely do I get to go here, but I wanted to take advantage of their $3 blended drink special. Decided to try their blended cookie drink. Looked great, but way to sweet for my taste. The chocolate over powered the coffee taste. Luckily my pre-teen who loves sweet didnt mind drinking it, nothing was wasted. Don't ever go here in fact they should shut this place down and begin anew to teach some of these entitled gossiping team members some customer service! I was so sad coming here as the ones on Oahu are so much better. 1st the drive through order area is fully separated from building and super confusing. I sat at window forever and no one bothered to come to tell me until I followed a truck in an2nd time and went up after them. I'd give them 5 stars because we love their product. But they rarely have everything available. Hot tea bar, for things like hot chai has been broken for months. The staff is very nice and I feel sorry for the them. Which is why there appears to be a high turnover, and always understaffed. Wait is SO long in the drive thru that we shut our engines off. I don't think there is any kind of management. C'mon Coffee Bean owners. Take care of your employees. Give them the tools they need to do their job! I have been a coffee bean customer here on Maui for years, since their first location down in Wailea. But today makes me not want to come back. At least not for a really long time. We were already having issues with ordering over the speaker but we always chalk it up to the quality of the speaker. We had ordered 3 drinks: a regular ice blended matcha with peppermint and whip, a regular hot half-sweet cookie butter latte, a regular hot half-sweet soy cookie butter latte (they were out of oat). But when we got to the window for payment, it was another story. On our receipt, Kiyanalin was the one helping us but there were three of them giggling and dancing. They were goofing off and fooling around while we were waiting for our drinks to be made, and while we were waiting to get our credit charged. I'm all for having a good time and having fun, but not when it starts to affect the quality of service. They had overcharged me for two soys instead of one, they forgot the whip on my ice blended matcha, and when they handed us our drinks, they were not sure of which one had soy and which had regular milk. When we asked which one had soy, the barista looked at us really confused and guessed which one had soy. My sister is lactose so when we told her that, she only took back one drink. They had remade it but when we verified, she said "no soy". She then told us the one that was not remade was the soy one. We then just drove away because we were over it. Since I am the one that drinks regular milk, I tasted both of them. They were both cold and both tasted exactly the same, there was a sour/bitterness to it. It tasted like either the milk has been out for too long or that it had just turned bad. And all the drinks took a little more than 10 minutes. It's such a bummer because we love coffee bean. But this was a really bad experience for us. It's gonna be a while until we go back. read more

We usually come here at night when there is no line and even if there's not much people the service tends to be slooow. When you go do the drive thru it feels like the workers play too much? We put our order on the speaker then when you get to the window, it's like they didn't input the order in their PoS system so they would ask again what our order was. It's usually a hit or miss. Sometimes you get good baristas & sometimes you get those who doesn't say hi, or even thank you (but at least you know they like working with each other) because you could see they'd rather talk to their co-workers than the customers. But that's okay I'm not there to chitchat. Today, we got the chance to go in the morning and boy was that a bad idea. It's a Saturday morning and there were only 3 people manning the place. I'm not sure if that's normal. We saw the drive thru was busy, so we thought walking in would be better. NOPE. We ordered 2 drinks. A hot chocolate and a Vanilla cold brew. I'm so glad the woman before me cancelled her 5 drinks because of waiting for more than 30 minutes. My TWO drinks came after waiting for more than 30 minutes. I understand they're busy and maybe they're short staffed? I'm not really sure. I do feel bad because the workers did say sorry but I feel like if these baristas were trained properly, 3 people would be more than capable to handle the amount of drinks they had to make. We sat there for 30 minutes and no drink came out from the line for people who ordered inside. The drive thru was also bad. It got to the point the person making the drinks started yelling out drinks in the dining area which was meant for the drive thru. A fourth person did come after not even wearing her uniform. She probably saw the amount of orders they had and just jumped to the line right away. Anyway, overall drinks are pretty good. They have a bit more variety than Starbucks. But, oh man, do they need to work on their service & staff. I see the same amount of workers in Starbucks in the morning and have never ever waited for more than 30 minutes for a drink. I like that this location has both a drive thru and a walk-in option. The drive thru does not impeded the parking lot or pedestrians at all which is quite nice. The women working the shift that I was there for were all very friendly and smiling. They all had headphones on as well for the drive thru but I never felt ignored like at some other places. I am the kind of guy who gives people the benefit of the doubt. I usually assume that when people are unpleasant towards me while doing their jobs, they're having a bad day or something. However, the amount of times the staff at this Cofee Bean and Tea Leaf location could be better. I have had one young man be polite or nice to me on the numerous times I have come here, the rest of the staff has been incredibly rude. Blatantly being dry and rude, rushing me through ordering, stressing me out by talking loudly and bluntly towards me, and saying nothing back to a friendly "Have a nice day!". It's extremely unacceptable in my mind to receive this kind of experience. I promise I have made every attempt to be kind and pleasant towards those taking my order and giving me my drink. I have also been met with an attitude of annoyance when asking for simple things like napkins. I cannot explain enough how much I hate visiting this location every time. I have spoken to several people I'm friends with and they all have had this experience. There is one manager, in particular, a taller man who is incredibly rude. As far as the food goes, it's subpar at best. On several occasions, the food has either been stale or the produce has been moldy. I cannot deter you from this place enough. Customer service is terrible and it's a shame because I love the location and the drinks! I would love to see a change, because I love everything else about the store, but the people are just so mean every time that I can't give it anything above one star... Severely disappointed. Visiting from Oahu my sister wanted to get her iced matcha with oat milk.... it was just disturbing that David wasn't as friendly as our Oahu Coffee Bean and tea!! Maybe he was having a hard day, but it's sad this was our first stop in Maui and it wasn't a pleasant one! We went through drive thru and after placing our order we waited five minutes for David to come to the window and then when he finally came we wanted to add one more drink and David literally stood there and rolled his eyes! Hit and miss! Speaking about the quickness of service. This CB has a drive-thru and is located next to Foodland in Wailuku, but it seems the service is hit and miss regarding speed. Some days they are on it and some days, we'll... Sitting in the line for more than 10 minutes waiting for two drinks to be made for the car in front was way too long! Granted, maybe the people in this car were major pains in the ass and wanted their coffee freshly ground as they waited, maybe have them pull to the side like McDonalds does and service the other people in line. I've been inside the store as well and they seem understaffed but the ladies working are always friendly and cordial. I'm not much of a CB person but go there for and with family, but i do observe. The pluses are the store always seems welcoming and the drive-thru is convenient and the drinks are good. The negative seems to be the extended wait time, especially the last couple visits. Their lobby is closed due to Covid. And maybe short staffing. I went to the drive-through and got a plantation tea and a breakfast sandwich. Kelly is the one that helped me in the window and with my ordering. It was my first time there and I asked a lot of questions but they were very patient and helpful. Plantation tea was delicious. Considering I got a large and a heated up breakfast sandwich I thought the pricing it $13 wasn't bad either. I was ecstatic when I heard that Maui finally opened a drive-thru coffee shop. On two separate visits that my husband and I have made thus far we've have been told we're "OUT" of 2 menu items we wanted to order. Ok, OUT as in Sold Out or too lazy to make more?! I highly doubt by 8:00am they'd be completely out. Make sure if you use drive-thru you have time to spare. The drive-thru service is slow. If you see 2-3 cars ahead of you, save yourself time and order inside. As it's pretty obvious customers who walk-in are serviced before drive-thru customers. We are visiting and love the coffee bean. I was so excited to see that they had one here, we drove over 30 minutes each way to go get a coffee. When we walked in the barista was very unfriendly, quick to tell me that they don't accept the app in Hawaii, which seems really strange especially since I'm pretty sure I used it multiple times in Kauai! We ordered what we always do, she made it so hot I couldn't drink it and it was bitter on top like it hadn't been stirred. I asked for whip and she said they were out, really rudely. I turned and walked out. My husband told her we drove from Kehei to go there because we love their coffee and she said, "oh"! We obviously weren't welcome there so we won't be back.
