We were then greeted by the head coach John Ingallina who is the embodiment of a professional. He is extremely welcoming, kind, professional, and explained the whole Gracie Combatives system to us. During class he was great at explaining the techniques being taught, and made good work of going to each person and ensuring they did it right. We both found ourselves with a busy few months with work travel, and when we checked our credit card statements months later, we discovered that 9round was charging my wife a monthly membership even though she'd never stepped foot in the gym and never agreed to a membership. She called Beverly and explained this situation, asking for a refund. She wouldn't budge even though we have the original email that clearly states that "this is not a confirmation of a gym membership" and for 20 minutes I listened to my wife explain to Beverly how this was wrong. Beverly refused to do anything about it, and my wife told her that we'd be disputing the charges with our credit card company. This is NOT how you run a business. And to blatantly refuse any resolution to this issue over the phone with a potential customer is down right rude. We will never interact with this location, or the parent company, again.

Initially we were following an online map, but we stopped at the park office to grab a paper copy for easier navigating. The park office is definitely not what I expected - it was a bit neglected, and nobody was there. I was hoping there'd be someone to talk to! Maybe they're just not in on Sundays. So off we went with our paper map! Lots of beautiful buildings - we really enjoyed the cobblestone house. Tree lined paths. Parking lots placed in convenient places. There was a cute little playground by the largest pond, and my daughter really enjoyed the abundance of lily pads. We were already feeling exhausted due to the heat by the time we found a trail entrance, but the trail itself was nice. There were teal colored trail markers nailed to the trees along the way, although the path itself was pretty straightforward until the turnaround. According to the map it should have circled back but there was a sign there for private property, so we hiked back the way we came instead. They had some absolutely gorgeous looking shelters. I'm not sure what the price point is, but it would be a great place for gatherings. Beautiful and peaceful, even if a little bit confusing our first time there. We will definitely be going back again (on a cooler day) to explore some more!
