I was excited to try this place based on reviews but unfortunately, very disappointing. While service was ok- friendly, nothing special- the food was less than ok. We ordered croissant breakfast sandwiches and they had no flavor. Eggs were burnt (not sure how) and it was no good. Additionally ordered fresh juice. That was what it was. And we ordered a smoothie that had no flavor whatsoever which is surprising given they use real fresh fruit. I won't be returning. There are so many places out there that do fruit salads, or smoothies and acai bowls, or sandwiches etc but I can't say I've found anywhere outside of Mexico who comes close to what Kravings does. They have a bit of everything- aguas frescas, smoothies, fruit salads, bowls, tortas, wraps, different Mexican snacks and street foods. It's all made fresh to order! I stopped by for lunch with my hubs and cousin, and we shared a pitaya bowl, chamango drink, a large fruit salad and a milanesa torta. WOW! We were all blown away by how good it all was. I've traveled around Mexico for work, and the torta really reminded me of what I would get in the different regions of Mexico. The bread is made especially for their tortas, and it's as long as my arm. They have a house made chipotle crema, and they also top it with pickled onions and carots as well as avocado. The milanesa was pounded really thin and had a nice seasoned crunchy batter on it. The fruit salad was so huge I brought home a little leftovers; a great variety of seasonal fruits topped with granola, coconut and cottage cheese. The chamango and pitaya bowl were super refreshing in this heat too. We've agreed - this is sooooo epically good we will totally make the trek out from Vista/Oceanside again when we crave a torta because this is the best we've found. read more

It's so easy to understand why this business has been so successful for five years, they focus on fresh and healthy ingredients, the food tastes fantastic, the service is quick and with a smile, and the selection is endless. All four of the items we got were really outstanding, and I would order them again, but there's so many good things on the menu, I suspect I'll try different things next time. I do have to say that the chicken torta I ordered, was outstanding. The sauce and the jalapeños and the fresh onions combined with the chicken were incredible. I moved and have since returned to the area and wanted to come back and have a smoothie. I waited 25 minutes for a smoothie just to ask for my money back cause heaven only knows how much longer it would have taken to receive it. I understand this may be a small owned business however when you have two people working you would figure time management would be better or teamwork would come into play. One guy was just in the back while The lady up front was doing everything by herself. There was only one order in front of me, so again 25 minutes for a drink is ridiculous. On top of that, they stopped to make time to greet and speak briefly with the Uber eats driver that brought them THEIR starbucks to go order. While I'm sure they deserve a tasty treat themselves, it's kinda off putting to be waiting there for a very long time while YOUR personal drinks seem to be more of a priority. I came in today to pick up a kraving bowl. There were only two people working at the time. Some man singing in the back making food and a woman playing on her phone at the register. I was met with a mono tone hello and she looked over her shoulder at me. I don't know what it is about customer service here but there always seems to be an issue with friendly service. I ordered a kravings bowl and I asked for a bag of salsa verde chips. Everything was $10.88. Once I looked up when my order was ready I was baffled to see the woman who had made my food was not wearing her mask properly. She didn't just have it under her nose, but under her mouth to. Totally defeating the purpose of having a mask (Will add photo) Mask was more like a chin scarf for her face... I understand that it's difficult wearing a mask but those are the rules. You even have signs that say you enforce customers to wear a mask, why not enforce that on your employees who are actively making customers food. Once I got my food and sat in my car I was livid. They forgot to add peanut butter to the kraving bowl. I know it's mixed in, but tasted nothing like peanut butter or what I had before. Not only that, it was runny and water down. Customer service here has been an issue. Everytime I have called in an order, some guy over the phone has been rude, even hung up on me and not saying a thing and I have to call back. When I have gone inside to order because they won't pick up the phone, although they are standing right inside, that same guy has been rude. As much as my daughter loves the food here, I try to avoid it because of the treatment I have received. It's unfortunate. If you keep treating people like this, you won't stay open! read more
