They are able to adjust training to the dog's needs and use all the tools in the toolbox available- martingale collars, pinch collars, ecollars, etc. and always praise and treat driven rewards. I've been working with Ken for the past 3 months with my 2 year old GSD, I met him in Home depot about 8 months earlier and he complimented my passion for working with Sasha, I saw his blue truck driving around was looking to find someone to help us with personal protection. Sasha's been in Schutzhund and what i'd like her to be hasn't really measured up to the sport. Protection dogs are quite the niche these days and finding those who know the sport beyond Schutzhund are pretty difficuilt without being outragous. Ken is super affordable for the service he provides, every session he puts in his all, to the point of sweating and winded! The things that he's asked me to do with Sasha have made her a much more rounded and switchable companion as I also have her for ADHD. it's important that she's great around young children in public, and friendable with adults. I was referred to Ken by local pet shop. I texted him the same day that I met him and did not hear back from him for about 2 to 3 days. We were able to set up an appointment for the following weekend for a consult. On the day of the consult Ken came over and met our pup. The consult went well and he offered us the different services that he provides, we needed to do some thinking just because The price was significantly higher than We anticipated, but I did ask him if We did decide to move forward with the training what is the earliest we can start. He mentioned that whenever we do payment and fill out paperwork we could start with in 1 week. I contacted him the next day informing him that we would like to move forward with the training and if he would except a split payment. He said yes and asked when we would like to start training. I responded to him right away indicating since it was a holiday weekend it was best to start the following week, NEVER heard back. I called multiple times to follow up and never received a phone call. Ken did mention to me in the free consult that they have been busy for the last year with trainings, but in my opinion as a potential client do not keep doing consults for potential trainings if you do not have the time, personnel, and or availability. My husband and I were in need of hiring a dog trainer for our 16 month old Shiba Inu Logan. We knew that we needed someone with extensive K9 training to train her due to the nature of her breed. We were fortunate to enough to get a wonderful referral about Ken at Krazy K-9 Dog Training from dog owners at the doggy park. During our initial consultation with Ken, we discussed Logan's areas for improvement jumping, barking, snipping at feet, leash pulling, and distractions of all kind. We also addressed the behavioral commands that would be used daily for Logans cognitive comprehension along with outdoor social behavioral exercises with other dogs trained by Ken. We knew instantly that this training would be a perfect fit for Logan's personality. We are now in the sixth training session with Logan's advanced obedience classes and she is doing fantastic. Ken Bell has been working with our puppy since he was 13 weeks old. With Ken's guidance, our now 6 months old puppy (and 53 pounds) has obtained the AKC Dog Trick Novice and the AKC Dog Trick Intermediate certifications. He will be taking his AKC Dog Trick Advanced test in a couple of weeks. He is also starting to walk well on a leash for a very active puppy! Ken is just awesome with our puppy! Ozzy just loves him. Update: Ken, the owner, did attempt to reach out after I put up my review. His message said that he didn't want unhappy customers and wanted to know what he could do to make it right. And though I generally do believe him, I did not/have not responded to him. Considering that both of my dogs are gone, there isn't any additional training he can offer. This event was so traumatic, I don't see myself getting another dog for him to train. And I do believe that the contract holds his company free from liability (since I never did get a copy of the signed contract, I don't rightly know what it says), so I don't expect him to offer me any refunds. Other than a heart-felt apology or telling me that dogs will be dogs, I'm not sure what else he can do or say to help the situation. Needless to say, I do stand by my original review and hope it opens the eyes of any dog owners who, like I did, may have an unrealistic expectation of what this training can provide. This is exactly the type of training that we hoped for! We had a pretty high bar when it came to finding a trainer for our 8 month old Golden Retriever and our instructor Ken from Krazy K9 has exceeded our expectations. He is so knowledgable and takes the time to answer our many questions along the way. He is so patient and gentle in his care of our pup which has inspired us to lead our dog in a similar manner outside of training. Due to COVID, we were a little hesitant about dog training and as a nurse, not once have I been concerned about our times together - outdoors, masks on, well spaced. Everything we have expected and more. Ken has been great with our dog Sugar. Our 3 yr. old chihuahua terrier had never had any formal obedience training and it became a necessity when we moved into a new apartment. We sent our 2 Shepherd mix rescues to Ken's 2-week board-and-train program. As with many rescues, our dogs are such sweet boys but had their fair share of issues. I'm talking, jumping on every guest that comes through the door, pulling on their leashes so hard that my shoulders started hurting, barking at every person/dog/bird/squirrels on walks, and severe separation anxiety. We hired Ken to train our 1 year old English Cream Retriever. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with how well our dog is doing since her completion of the two week board and train program that Ken did with her. She is still a happy, energetic puppy, but now she has all of that structure that we struggled with providing her. She's been home for about two weeks now and we continue to work with her as well as schedule our follow-up appointments with Ken, but honestly I cannot say enough good things about the services we were provided and the skills our dog has learned. Greyson my 9 month old pitbull puppy has just completed the seven day boarding program at Krazy k-9. He's been home for two days and the change is incredible. Let me start with the some background, Greyson was very difficult before the K-9 Training. Not a mean dog but a very stubborn puppy. Anxiety behaviors, constant pulling while taking walks and would go nuts if had seen another dog (wanting to play with them). He would always jump on the guest when someone would come to visit. Once we had to shorten our trip home due to his bad behavior and then we knew we had to do something. The past couple of days has been remarkable. Greyson comes when directed , he doesn't pull while walking, no more jumping on people and just and all around great dog. Ken did a incredible job, Greyson (50lb pitbull) is as more manageable than my 11lb terrier. We were downton fairfax this weekend at the water falls with kids , dogs and plenty of other distractions, Greyson was awesome, he behaved very well and we were able to enjoy time out with the family. Some folks actually came over to let there kids pet him. It was a great day!
